Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a caster which can be operated with a small force and reduce the projection of a bottom plate of a stand on which the casters are used. CONSTITUTION:A caster 20 comprises a ball 2 and a caster main body 1 provided with a spherical seat 1A for holding the ball 2, and a pivot axis is aligned with a ball axis. The caster 20 is formed by a two-material forming method to omit assembly operation. In this case, the mold shrinkage rate of a member which forms the ball 2 is made larger than that of a member which forms the caster main body. A stand for the caster is constituted so that the casters 20 are mounted on the lower surface of the bottom plate at three to four positions.

せず)。この場合、キャスター本体は樹脂部材を射出成
型したり、黄銅などの金属部材を鋳造したり、またはA
LやZnなどをダイキャストなどの手段で構成してな
る。ボールは金属または樹脂部材からなり、キャスター
本体への圧入に際しては球面座の開口部分が所定に弾性
変形して挿入される。
