に比べて大きさが小さく、しかも厚みが大きい為、装置
の中を搬送することは困難であり、トラブルも起こし易
かった。

説明する。第1図は従来の用紙搬送装置の概略構成図で
あり、1は感光体、2は用紙であり、周知の手段によっ
て感光体1上のトナー像が転写された後に剥離され、ベ
ルト3上に乗せられて定着器4まで搬送され、定着器4
でトナー像を定着された後に排紙トレイ5上に積載され
る。ベルト3は表面に細かい突起3aを有している。そ
の突起3aは用紙との接触面積を減らして搬送力を高め
たり、ベルト上の汚れを用紙に付着させないためにあ
る。定着器4は熱ローラ6、加圧ローラ7、案内板8よ
り構成されており、周知の如く用紙が定着器を通過する
時にシワが発生するのを防ぐ為、案内板8は中央部が熱
ローラ6、加圧ローラ7の接線よりやや高くなってい
る。ところが、はがみは通常の用紙より厚いのでベルト
3に密着しにくく搬送力も弱い為、第1図に点線9で示
すようにその先端が熱ローラ6に当接したままで加圧ロ
ーラ7との間にかみ込ます、下面はベルト3上に乗った
ままですべり(厳密にいえば突器3a上をすべり)前に
進まないという状態になり、紙づまりを起こすという問
題点を有していた。

ごとに突出部20aが配設されている。この突出部20a
はその周辺に第5図および第6図に示すように切抜部を
設けることにより構成されており、後述する手段により
内周側から突出部20aを押した時、外周側へ突出し易
いようになっている。21は用紙通過検出センサであ
り、本実施例では光反射型のセンサを用いており、用紙
がこの上を通過している時間を検出をするようになって
いる。22はカム部22aを有する突出作動レバーであ
り、支軸23を中心に回動可能に搬送ベルト20の内周
側に設けられており、端部に掛けられたバネ24によっ
て通常はカム部22aが搬送ベルト20の内周面より離
れた位置にあるようになっている。25はソレノイドで
あり、そのプランジャ25aは突出作動レバー22の一
端に係合しており、動作時にはバネ24の力に抗して突
出作動レバー22を通常位置とは逆の方向に回動させ、
第3図に示すようにカム部22aが搬送ベルト20の内
周面に接する位置まで作動させるようになっている。な
