2. Description of the Related Art A reactor containment vessel used in a nuclear power plant isolates the reactor from the external environment when an accident occurs, and radioactive fission products (hereinafter referred to as FP) are placed outside the reactor pressure vessel. Even when it is released, it serves as a barrier to the release of FP to the external environment and is installed for the purpose of preventing radioactivity from being released to the external environment.

The FP is removed by the scrubbing effect in the process in which the gas becomes bubbles and rises in the water. However, due to the high temperature of the gas and the heat of decay of the FP, heat is supplied to the scrubbing water so that part of the scrubbing water is removed. Evaporate and reduce scrubbing water in the airtight container. Due to this decrease in scrubbing water, scrubbing water will be supplied when a significant decrease in the scrubbing effect is confirmed.
