[Prior art]

An example of a conventional electrostatic spray gun will be described with reference to FIG. 1 showing an embodiment of the present invention. Reference numeral 1 is an extension portion made of synthetic resin protruding from the gun body, and a housing 2 for attaching a paint spray nozzle (not shown) is provided at the tip of the extension portion. A paint chamber 4 communicating with the above is formed, and an electrode 6 also serving as a valve seat having a valve opening 7 communicating with the above-mentioned nozzle is fitted on the front surface thereof.

A housing hole 9 reaching the vicinity of the tip of the housing 2 is formed in the outer peripheral portion of the housing 2 on the side opposite to the paint supply passage 3, and is fitted in the housing 2 in a state of being in contact with the electrode 6 described above. The tip of the embedded metal 11 projects from the tip of the housing hole 9, and the receiving hole 9 is covered with a resin-made mold tube 14 on the outer peripheral surface, so that the rear end of the high voltage generator is not shown. The tip of the resistor 13 connected to the high-voltage cable 15 drawn out from is inserted, and the tip surface of the resistor 13 and the embedded metal 11 are electrically connected by the compression coil spring 17 made of a conductive material interposed therebetween. They are connected, and a high voltage is applied to the electrode 6 via them.

[Problems to be solved by the device]

In such a current-carrying structure, the electrical contact portion between the resistor 13, the compression coil spring 17, and the embedded metal 11 is exposed, and an oxide film is formed on the surface of the contact portion, that is, rust is easily generated. However, the rust prevention measures have not been considered in the past.

If rust appears on the contact part, the current is difficult to flow because it is a high voltage current with a particularly low current value, so to speak, contact failure occurs and sparks such as corona discharge are likely to occur. Then, ultraviolet rays and ozone are generated, which may deteriorate the synthetic resin of the extension part 1 and further lead to voltage breakdown.

[Means for Solving the Problems]

The electrostatic spray gun of the present invention has been devised in view of the above points, and has a structure in which the tip of the resistor, the intermediate contact body, and the surface of the embedded metal are plated with gold.

【0008】[0008]

[Operation and effect of the device]

According to the present invention, the tip of the resistor, the intermediate contactor, and the surface of the embedded metal, which form the contact portion where rust easily occurs, have conductivity and excellent corrosion resistance, that is, rust prevention. By applying the gold plating, it is possible to surely prevent a contact failure due to rust between them.

As a result, the occurrence of sparks is prevented, deterioration of the extension portion and voltage breakdown are less likely to occur, and the useful life of the extension portion and thus of the spray gun can be greatly extended. Further, if the spark does not occur, the temperature rise of the resistor can be suppressed, so that the useful life of the resistor itself can be extended.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the present embodiment, as shown in detail in FIG. 2, the metal plating 11, the compression coil spring 17, and the cap 20 made of a conductive material fitted to the tip of the resistor 13 are respectively plated with gold. The layer 21 is formed.

Since the gold-plated layer 21 has conductivity and is excellent in corrosion resistance, that is, rust resistance, rust is generated on the surfaces of the cap 20 of the resistor 13, the compression coil spring 17, and the embedded metal 11. Therefore, the poor contact between them is reliably avoided and the occurrence of sparks is prevented.

According to the present invention, an intermediate contact body is interposed between the resistor and the metal pad, such as one in which another contact is pressed against the metal by elastic expansion force of a compression coil spring mounted on the tip surface of the resistor. It can be widely applied to all electrostatic spray guns with an energized structure interposed.
