The selective receiver with display is a receiver adapted to display subsequent information when the own calling number is detected from the received signal including the calling number and the transmission information. In a conventional selective receiver with a display, for example, the receiver disclosed in Japanese Patent Application No. 57-142541, the receiver issues an alarm such as a ringing sound or a buzzer when the calling number is detected. It is designed to notify the person carrying the call.

On the other hand, recently, information services that can be received by the above-mentioned selective receiver with display have come to be provided, and the carrier can now know the latest information of the stock market information service, for example, at predetermined intervals. ing. By the way, this kind of information service only needs to be read by the receiver carrying the latest information, and need not be read every time. Nevertheless, as explained above, the receiver itself issues an alarm each time it detects its own calling number, so in the past, the receiver carrying person would hear an unnecessary alarm, which is bothersome. I often felt or felt uncomfortable. Not only that, but a lot of current flows when the sound is made.
When it is used frequently, the power consumption of the battery cannot be ignored, and it has the drawback of shortening the battery life.

Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a selective call receiver with a display that does not cause unnecessary alarms to be carried by receivers carrying information services and does not cause unnecessary battery consumption.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention divides the address included in the signal into a call and an information service so that an alarm is not issued when a call number for the information service is received. That is, according to the present invention, a signal sequence composed of a selective call signal and a display information signal following the selective call signal is received and demodulated, and when a self-call signal is detected in the selective call signal, call notification and information display are controlled based on the signal. In the selective call receiver configured as described above, first and second call numbers having the same signal length are provided for each receiver in the selective call signal of the signal sequence, and the first and second call numbers are provided based on the detection of the self-call signal. A means for controlling call notification and information display causes the call notification and the information display when the first call number is detected, and only the information display when the second call signal is detected A selective call receiver with display is obtained, which is characterized in that it is configured to perform.

FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the configurations of the selective calling signal N and the display information signal I, and uses a signal in which one parity bit is added to BCH (31,21). The reason is 10

It is a 0-bit selective call signal N or display information I. The most significant digit of the selective calling signal N is set to logic "0", and the most significant digit of the display information signal I is set to logic "1" to distinguish each other. A plurality of display information signals I can be arranged as needed depending on the length of the display information. Also, the display information is sent out from the least significant digit, and in this example, 4 Bit BC
You can send up to 5 digits per word with D, so if you exceed 5 digits, 5
One word can be added for each digit.

FIG. 3 is a circuit configuration block diagram of a selective call receiver with display which is an embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 3, the radio frequency signal received by the antenna 1 is amplified by the radio unit 2,
It is detected and demodulated, and converted into a digital signal which can be discriminated by the decoder 4 by the waveform shaping circuit 3. In the decoder 4, the signals from the waveform shaping circuit 3 are called a plurality of types of call numbers (A call, B call, etc.) that are stored in the programmable read-only memory (P-ROM) 5 in advance. The calling number and the calling number for information service are used, and both may be plural. Of course, if the calling signal N and the contents of the P-ROM 5 are the same, the calling is confirmed. Then, the display information signal I following the calling signal N is stored in one of the predetermined portions in the decoder 4.

Next, the decoder 4 drives the LCD 10 by the liquid crystal display (LCD) driving unit 6 to display the display information. Further, the decoder 4 determines whether or not to supply the sound signal to the sound driving unit 7. That is, the ringing signal is supplied when the ringing signal corresponding to the ringing number for calling is received, and the ringing signal is not supplied when the ringing signal corresponding to the ringing number for information service is received. The sound driving unit 7 amplifies the sound signal and causes the speaker 8 to emit a sound. The reset switch 9 is connected to the decoder 4 and stops the sound from the speaker 8 and the display of the LCD 10 or the display of the LCD 10 in the "contact" state. Further, when the display signal is a plurality of consecutive display signals as shown in FIG.
The LCD 10 is sequentially displayed every time the state is changed. The details of this operation are publicly known, and for example, they are also shown in the above-mentioned prior art, so that further description will be omitted. As can be seen from the above description, the decoder 4 has not only the original demodulation function but also the function of controlling the call notification (sound) and the drive of information display.

FIG. 4 is a flow chart showing the operation of the decoder 4 as described above. First, set the initial state and enter the standby state. When a call is detected, it is judged whether it is for calling. If yes (YES), a sound is emitted to display and if no (NO), that is, for information service, a sound is emitted. Only display without issuing. At the end, it is judged whether or not a reset has been applied. Until the reset is applied, the same state is held, and when the reset switch is pressed, the call number waiting state is restored.

As described above, according to the present invention, since a call and an information service are distinguished by the presence or absence of a sound, a sound is not produced every time even in an information service that is regularly played. , Avoid discomfort and annoyance. In addition, the battery life can be extended because the current consumption is reduced due to the absence of ringing when information is frequently sent.
