DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Industrial field of application] The present invention protects the surface of a member which should not be subjected to the surface treatment from the surface treatment during the surface treatment such as painting, plating and vapor deposition. It relates to a masking material used in.

Conventionally, as this type of masking material, there has been provided a structure in which an adhesive layer (3) B is provided on one surface of a panel-shaped body (3) A made of a plastic foam as shown in FIG. The masking material (3) having such a structure is adhered to the surface (2) of the member, such as an automobile floor panel (1), which should not be surface-treated, through the adhesive layer (3) B. After that, apply surface treatment such as painting. Thus, as shown in FIG. 10, for example, in the case of coating, a coating film (4) is formed, but since the predetermined surface (2) of the floor panel (1) is covered with the masking material (3), the coating film (4) is formed. (4) is not formed. Then, the masking material (3) is softened and shrunk by heating, for example, in a coating and baking process, and the masking material (3) is naturally detached by its own weight as shown in FIG.

In the above conventional technique, after the surface treatment, the masking material (3)
Masking material when softening and shrinking to allow natural desorption
It is necessary to break through the surface-treated film (4) covering (3), but a surface-treated film such as a coating film having a relatively high strength is difficult to break through, which is a serious obstacle to the natural detachment of the masking material. Furthermore, when the masking material (3) is attached to the surface (2) which should not be surface-treated, the masking material (3) does not have an appropriate handle portion, so that adhesion is difficult.

In the masking material (31) of the present invention, the lower surface of the main body is a masking surface, and the adhesive layer (3) is supported while being supported by the grip portion (31) D.
1) It is attached via B to the surface (2) (surface to be masked) of the member (1) which should not be surface-treated, and the surface (2) is covered to protect it from the surface treatment. The surface treatment film (4) formed during the surface treatment is the container-shaped body (31) A of the masking material (31).
The upper edge portion is cut or easily cut. When the masking material (31) is softened and shrunk by heating after the surface treatment, the surface treatment film (4) forms the container-shaped body (31) A of the masking material (31).

[Effects of the Invention] Therefore, the masking material of the present invention can be easily attached to the surface, and the surface-treated film covering the masking material can be easily formed when softening, deforming and shrinking by heating after the surface treatment. Moreover, since the masking material has a large shrinkage ratio, it can be surely released naturally. Further, since the masking material of the present invention is in the shape of a container, the material cost is greatly reduced as compared with the case of a panel-shaped masking material.

The masking material (31) is a grip part by peeling off the release paper (31) C.
While being supported by (31) D, the surface (2) (masking surface) which should not be subjected to surface treatment of a member such as an automobile floor panel (1) through the adhesive layer (31) B After sticking, a surface treatment such as painting is applied to form a coating film (4) as shown in FIG. However, since the surface of the floor panel (1) is covered with the masking material (31), the coating film
(4) is not formed. In this case, the coating film (4) is in a state of being cut at the upper edge of the main body (31) A of the masking material (31) as shown in FIG. 2B, or as shown in FIG. 2B. It is formed in a state where it is easily cut by wrapping around. Therefore, when the masking material (31) is removed from the surface (2) by softening, deformation and shrinkage by heating, for example, in the coating baking process after the coating is finished, the coating film is removed. (4) is easily cut at the upper edge of the main body (31) A of the masking material (31), and the masking material (31) is easily detached.
