Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically execute an on-line diagnosis of a transmitter/receiver of in-band in one device by providing a line signal transmitting/receiving circuit of in-band in a multiplexing/separating device. CONSTITUTION:A line signal on a digital input/output circuit 5 sent from the other station is received by an in-band signal receiving circuit 33, and receiving result information is sent to a controller 34. The controller 34 detects a free time slot by this information, and makes a turn-back by controlling a multiplexing circuit 31 through a control line 37, between a multiplexing input circuit 35 and a multiplexing output circuit 36 of the free time slot.
