Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit a pit for setting sleeve pipe to be safely and exactly excavated by casing by a method in which a check valve is provided to the nozzle port tip bit and a stopper mechanism is provided between the casing and the tip bit. CONSTITUTION:A tip bit 2 is detachably and rotatably attached to the tip of a casing 1, and nozzles 23 having a check valve 24 are provided to the tip of the bit 2. A stopper mechanism 4 is provided between the casing 1 and the bit 2. The casing 1 is usually kept in a loosening-stopped state for the bit 2 but released from the loosening-stopped state as needed by using the inserted position of a sleep pipe 3 into the casing 1 as a key. The leakage of water from the casing 1 can thus be completely prevented, and the unexpected separation of the bit 2 from the casing l during boring operation can also be prevented.
