Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce noise at the time of driving a needle thread take-up by allowing a cam-follower of the needle thread take-up selected by a movement of a needle bar case to come into contact with a cam, and providing a stopper which can hold other each needle thread take-up in a prescribed holding position. CONSTITUTION:A needle thread take-up 90 corresponding to a new needle bar is selected, its projecting piece 90c comes to a position of a slit 74 of a stopper 70, and also, a cam-follower 94 of this needle thread take-up 90 comes into contact with a cam 30. A sewing machine main shaft 14 rotates, a needle bar driving member 44 moves vertically by interlocking therewith, and the needle bar 60 is driven vertically. The rotation of the sewing machine main shaft is transferred to a needle thread take-up driving shaft 28 through engagement of a needle thread take-up driving gear 26 and a driven gear 32. Accordingly, this needle thread take-up driving shaft 28 rotates together with the cam 30 and reciprocating turning is given to the needle thread take-up 90 through the cam-follower 94 pressed against the outside peripheral surface of the cam 30. That is, this needle thread take-up 90 executes reciprocating turning around the axis center of a needle thread take-up shaft 22 by synchronizing with a vertical operation of the needle bar 60.

The structure of the driving force transmitting portion from the balance driving portion to each balance 590 is formed on the outer periphery of the base end portion of each balance 590 with respect to the drive gear X of the drive lever 528 in this balance driving portion. The gear Y is selectively meshed with the needle bar case 50 by sliding operation. Further, there is also one that utilizes engagement between a bifurcated hook and a pin instead of meshing these gears.

As described above, when the color of the sewing thread of the sewing machine head 10 is changed, the balance 590 must be selected simultaneously with the selection of the needle bar 60. The gear Y of the balance 590 meshes with the drive gear X at this time by utilizing the clearance due to the backlash between them. The point that this clearance is required is the same when the engagement between the hook and the pin is used.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the balance device in the multi-needle type sewing machine of the present invention is constructed as follows. That is, the needle bar case is provided with a plurality of needle bars and the same number of balances as those of the needle bars, and a predetermined operation is performed for each of the one needle bar selected by the movement of the needle bar case and the corresponding balance. In order to provide these, in a multi-needle type sewing machine that drives them in synchronization with each other, the cam followers provided in each of the balances described above and the cam followers that can come into contact with the balances are reciprocally rotated through the contacting cam followers And a stopper capable of bringing the cam follower of the balance selected by the movement of the needle bar case into contact with the cam and holding each of the other balances in a predetermined standby posture.

Then, when the sewing machine main shaft 14 rotates,
In conjunction with this, the needle bar drive member 44 moves up and down, and a new needle bar 60 selected is driven up and down. Moreover, the rotation of the sewing machine main shaft 14 is transmitted to the balance drive shaft 28 through the meshing of the balance drive gear 26 and the driven gear 32. Therefore, the balance drive shaft 28 rotates together with the cam 30, and the balance 90 is reciprocally rotated through the cam follower 94 pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the cam 30. That is, the balance 90 reciprocates around the axis of the balance shaft 92 in synchronization with the vertical movement of the needle bar 60.
