Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively utilize natural resources, to reduce the time and labor of work and to obtain sufficient paint suction preventing effect by using a specific treatment agent in the surface sealing treatment of a paint absorbable material to apply the same to the surface of the material and subsequently applying painting to the coated surface of the material. CONSTITUTION:When a sealing treatment agent A prepared by dissolving chitosan or a chitosan derivative in a dilute acid is applied to the surface of a paint absorbable material X, the surface of the material is easy to anionically charge and chitosan applied to the surface of the material X is ionically bonded to the material X. Since chitosan is a polymeric substance, a film is formed on the surface of the material X and the surface of the material X is certainly sealed while airtightness is held with respect to the interior of the material X. Therefore, when paints B, C are applied to the material X after the coating with the sealing treatment agent A containing chitosan, the sucking of the paints B, C into the material X is prevented and uniform coloration is performed.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION As is well known, natural chitin, which is a high-molecular substance, is produced by decalcining and deproteinizing the shells of crabs and the like. It is deacetylated by boiling and converted to chitosan. This chitosan is widely used as a polymer flocculant such as a water treatment agent. For example, chitosan prepared for a flocculant is a homopolymer having a molecular weight of more than 1,000,000, and is suitable for general organic solvents. Although it is insoluble, it has the property of dissolving in dilute acid. It is also widely known that this chitosan is a cationic polymer.

On the other hand, in recent years, a large amount of wood products have been put on the market together with the demand for high-grade orientation, etc., but as the material of this wood product, ordinary wood, plywood, cork, or other than these is used. So-called MDF has come to be used. This MDF is obtained by collecting and solidifying wood chips, which is more uniform than wood materials and has no directionality, and its application is being expanded.

By the way, each of the above wood-based materials (especially MDF) listed above has a greater absorption of the paint (including the coloring agent, the same applies hereinafter) compared to other materials, and the coating film has a surface. It has the property that it is difficult to form a film.
For this reason, even if a coating material is applied to the surface of each of the wood-based materials, there is a problem in that coloring unevenness occurs on the surface due to the suction of the coating material and the coloring cannot be performed uniformly. Therefore, in order to deal with this problem, the paint is applied over and over again, but such a method is not only labor-intensive and labor-intensive, but also disadvantageous in terms of cost. Further, as a further effective means for solving the above problems, a sealing treatment agent (sealer agent) for preventing the inhalation of paint is applied to the surface of the wood-based material, and then the surface is coated. However, in the past, as this sealing treatment agent,
It was customary to use resin-based products such as urethane sealers, wood conditioners, or silica powder. However, the above-mentioned conventional sealing treatment agents have a problem that the effect of preventing the inhalation of the paint is not sufficient.

The paint-absorbing material includes wood-based materials such as wood, plywood, cork and MDF, and dyeable materials such as fibers (cotton) and paper. Then, when a sealing treatment agent obtained by dissolving a chitosan and / or a derivative of chitosan in a dilute acid is applied to the surface of this type of material, for example, since wood has cellulose and lignin as main components, the surface is Anions are prone to being charged, which causes the chitosan applied to the surface of wood to attach to the wood ionically. Further, since chitosan is a polymer substance, it is formed into a film on the surface of wood, and it is possible to reliably seal the surface while maintaining airtightness inside the wood. The materials listed above other than wood are also subjected to film formation on the surface thereof. Therefore, if the coating material is applied to the surface after the application of the sealing treatment agent containing chitosan, the action of the sealing treatment agent prevents the coating material from being sucked into the inside of the material, and the coating material is uniformly colored.

The glossiness of the surface was measured. The glossiness was measured according to the type of the sealing treatment agent. In addition, the surface of the MDF plate material X is directly applied with no treatment,
The glossiness was similarly measured for the MDF plate material X on which the conventional urethane sealer was applied, then urethane sanding was sprayed, and # 400 was polished and lacquer sprayed. When measuring the glossiness, an incident angle of 6 from the light projection part with respect to the surface of the MDF plate material X was used.
It was performed by irradiating light so that the temperature was 0 ° C. and the reflection angle was 60 ° C., and the light was reflected and then received by a gloss meter.
The measurement results are shown in Table 1 below.

As is clear from Table 1, the one coated with the chitosan-containing sealing agent has a much higher glossiness than the one directly coated on the untreated surface, and the conventional urethane sealer agent. It is equal to or more than the one coated with. It is also clear that particularly the chitosan concentration in the range of 0.25% to 0.5%, or before and after that, has a significantly high glossiness.

The reason for measuring the glossiness as described above is based on the fact that the glossiness increases if the resin-based paint is formed into a good film on the surface of the material.
This is because the quality of the coating state can be determined by the degree of glossiness.

Next, a second embodiment of the method of the present invention will be described. In this second embodiment, urethane flat spray coating is applied instead of the final stage lacquer spray coating in the first embodiment. Then, the glossiness of the second example was measured in the same manner as above. The measurement results are shown in Table 2 below. Also in this Table 2, it is apparent that the one coated with the chitosan-containing sealing agent has a much higher gloss than the untreated one, and is equal to or higher than the one coated with the conventional urethane sealant. is there. And according to this 2nd Example, the density | concentration of chitosan is about 0.1% and 1.0.
It is also clear that the glossiness of about 1% is extremely high.

Next, a third embodiment of the method of the present invention will be described. In this third embodiment, the same percentage of chitosan-containing sealing agent as described above was applied to the surface of the MDF plate material, and then urethane flat spray coating was applied to this surface. Table 3 below shows the measurement results of the glossiness of these and the uncoated and conventional urethane sealer coated. In Table 3, the one coated with the chitosan-containing sealing agent has a higher glossiness than the untreated one.
When the concentration of chitosan is 0.1%, the glossiness is lower than that when the conventional urethane sealer is applied.
Therefore, the glossiness can be increased as compared with the conventional case, by excluding the use of those around 0.1%.

Next, a fourth embodiment of the method of the present invention will be described. In the fourth embodiment, the urethane flat (high gloss) spray coating is applied instead of the final stage urethane flat spray coating in the third embodiment.
Then, the results of the measurement of the glossiness similar to the above for this fourth example are shown in Table 4 below. Also in this Table 4, the one coated with the chitosan-containing sealing agent has a much higher gloss than the untreated one, and if the chitosan concentration of 0.1% is excluded, the conventional urethane sealer is excluded. The glossiness is higher than that of the agent application.

As described above, according to the method for surface treatment of a paint-absorbing material according to the present invention, since a solution of chitosan which is a natural polymer substance is used as a sealing treatment agent, the application of chitosan is expanded. As a result, effective use of natural resources will be achieved. In addition, the surface of the paint-absorbent material is reliably kept airtight by the chitosan-containing sealing agent, and the paint-sucking action on the surface is accurately blocked, and it is no longer necessary to apply the paint multiple times. The labor and labor required will be reduced as much as possible. Furthermore, the effect of the chitosan-containing sealing agent on the absorption of paint is superior to that of the conventional sealing agent (of urethane type),
In particular, even for a material that is difficult to apply, such as MDF, a sufficient effect of preventing the inhalation of the paint can be obtained.
