Conventionally, an armature 1 has been known which includes a core 2 and shafts 3, 3' as illustrated in FIG. As shown in FIG. 7, coating films 4, 4' formed by electrostatic powder coating are applied to the circumferential surface of the proximal end. FIG. 8 shows another type of armature 1, and as shown on the right end surface of the core 2 in the same figure, a coating film 4' by electrostatic powder coating is applied only to a part of the end surface.
In some cases, the shaft 3' is not coated at all. In FIGS. 7 and 8 as well as FIGS. 9 to 11 to be described later, only the coating films 4 and 4' are shown in cross section for convenience of drawing.

Electrostatic powder coating is a process in which a charge is applied to the powder coating, the powder is electrostatically attached to the workpiece (in this case, the armature), and then heated and welded. It is currently attracting a lot of attention because it provides a coated surface and is suitable for mass production.

When partially painting the armature 1 of a small motor as described above using this electrostatic powder coating,
Conventionally, a method has been adopted in which powder paint is once applied to the entire surface of the armature 1, and then the powder paint adhered to non-painted areas is removed before heat treatment. , use the air knife 5 to blow away the powder paint (Fig. 9), use the vacuum unit 6 to suck the powder paint (Fig. 10), and use the rotating brush 7 to scrape off the powder paint. (Figure 11).

The masking jig 11 having the above configuration has a first
As shown in the figure, the shafts 3, 3' are inserted into the holes 14 to partially mask the shafts 3, 3', and by performing electrostatic coating from this state, the shafts 3, 3' A coating film 4, 4' as shown in FIG. 7 can be obtained on the peripheral surface of the proximal end portion of the core 2 and the end surface of the core 2. The cap member 13 placed over the tip of the main body 12 is made of a material that is resistant to electrostatic adhesion of powder paint, and as a result, it can withstand repeated use. Also, since the material is soft, shaft 3,
When inserting the shaft 3' into the hole 14, the surfaces of the shafts 3, 3' are not damaged. Examples of materials include:
Examples include fluororesins. The inner diameter of the hole 14 of the main body 12 made of non-ferrous metal is set so that the inner wall of the main body 12 can always come into contact with the shafts 3, 3' regardless of the presence or absence of the fixing member 15, which is necessary for electrostatic coating. A route for ground 17 is secured. The jig 11 is planned to be transferred along with the armature 1 by placing the small diameter portion between the two flanges 12a and 12b of the main body 12 on a track (not shown) of a transfer device, and By installing the contact member 18 on the

It is used to firmly hold the shafts 3, 3' when they are inserted into the holes 14 so that they do not move or come out without permission. The hole 14 is formed into a cylindrical shape, and its inner diameter is set to be very slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the hole 14. Further, as shown in an enlarged view in FIG. 3, slots 15a and 16a may be inserted to facilitate press-fitting of the shafts 3 and 3'.
When the fixing member 15 is made of a conductor, the member 15
can also be incorporated into a part of the ground path.
