The figure shows the case where a reflective liquid crystal display element is used as the liquid crystal display element. The reflection type liquid crystal display element has a metal reflection plate 1 attached to the back surface of a glass substrate 2 together with a polarizing plate. As the reflector, an aluminum foil attached or a metal such as aluminum vapor-deposited is generally used. In this embodiment, the thickness is 100.
An aluminum foil of μm was attached to the polarizing plate 3, one side of the aluminum foil was extended and connected to the ground line of the circuit board 4 using the double-sided conductive tape 5. The reflector has a structure that covers almost the entire surface of the glass substrate of the liquid crystal display element. As a result, before and after the reflection plate was grounded, the intensity of the unwanted radiation magnetic field was measured on the surface of the liquid crystal display element, and a reduction of 8 dBμA / m was observed in the comparison of the peak values after the grounding.

In the figure, a transmissive liquid crystal display element is used as a liquid crystal display element, and an illuminating device 6 is provided on the back surface. In this embodiment, unlike the first embodiment, since the liquid crystal display element does not have a reflection plate, a metal plate 7 made of aluminum foil having a thickness of 100 μm is sandwiched between the back surface of the lighting device 6 and the circuit board 4 instead. There is. In practice, the metal foil has a structure in which an insulating film is attached to one surface of an aluminum foil, and the insulating film side is attached to the circuit board 4 with a non-conductive double-sided tape.
The size of the metal foil of this embodiment is made substantially equal to the size of the opening of the display section of the liquid crystal display element. Further, one side of the metal foil was extended and one point was connected to the ground line of the circuit board 4 using the double-sided conductive tape 5. As a result, when the intensity of the unnecessary radiation magnetic field was measured on the surface of the liquid crystal display device, the same reduction as in Example 1 was observed. In this embodiment, the material of the metal foil is aluminum, but other materials such as copper foil or steel plate may be used although there is a difference in the magnetic field strength to be reduced.

As described above, according to the present invention, the shield effect is obtained by grounding the reflector of the liquid crystal display element, and the unnecessary radiation noise generated from the liquid crystal display device is reduced. Further, it also has an effect of reducing unnecessary radiation noise of an electronic device using the liquid crystal display device of the present invention and making it difficult to cause electromagnetic interference of the electronic device.
