Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily manufacture a metallic mold having complicate shape in a hollow cross section or a metallic mold having a small hollow cross section and long length by assembling members divided in the peripheral direction of a rotation axis and integrating the members to manufacture the metallic mold for centrifugal casting. CONSTITUTION:By assembling two members 1a, 1b for metallic mold separately worked in the condition of division in a diameter direction, the metallic mold 5 is formed. The members 1a, 1b for metallic mold are welded and joined at welding parts 6. By casting the molten metal into the metallic mold 5, a casting product 10 is manufactured. Since the member 1a, 1b for metallic mold are divided and the working can be executed in the condition of exposing to the surface, the working having complicated inner shape is facilitated, as well.

An example of a general manufacturing procedure for a conventional centrifugal casting mold is as follows. First, a member to be the mold is fixed and then attached to a handle fixed to the main body of the cutting machine. The blade is applied to the member and reciprocally moved in the direction of the axis of rotation of the mold to scrape or hollow the inner side of the tool to manufacture it. When the mold is manufactured by the above-described manufacturing method, the finished size and shape of the inner surface are naturally limited.

That is, since the blade is put in the member and is ground, the inner cross-sectional dimension of the mold cannot be made smaller than the size of the blade, and the handle that supports the blade bends in the length dimension. Therefore, the longer the length, the more difficult it becomes to carry out shaving according to the mold rotation axis. Further, since it is machined, it is difficult to machine it into a complicated inner-air cross-sectional shape.

In other words, since the molds are divided, they can be manufactured separately, and the part corresponding to the inner surface of the mold can be processed in a state where it is exposed to the surface, so that the complicated inner surface shape can be easily processed. Further, various inner surface molds can be obtained by combining the members. On the other hand, even a long mold having a small cross-sectional dimension can be formed without being restricted by its processing.

On the other hand, in the case where the mold to be divided is thin-walled, if the molds are joined together by casting, the wall thickness of the entire mold increases, resulting in a mold with improved heat strength and high heat capacity. In addition, when the metal frame is externally fitted, it has an effect of preventing distortion of the metal frame.

FIG. 2 shows a state in which the centrifugal casting mold of the present invention is installed on the support roller 3. First, mold 5
Even if the supporting roller 3 that supports it and the mold 5 rotate on the supporting roller 3, their positions do not shift, and the driving roller 3a abuts on the supporting roller 3 to transmit its rotational force to the mold 5. The contact part 4 provided on the outer periphery of the mold 5 is shown.
The supporting roller 3 supports the mold 5 at at least four positions as shown in the drawing, and there is a driving roller 3a connected to a driving motor, and the driving roller 3a is rotated by the motor. As a result, the rotational force is transmitted to the die 5 by friction with the contact portion 4 of the die 5, and the die 5 rotates. Further, the supporting roller 3 and the driving roller 3a are shaped like a thick collar at one end of the rotary shaft, and the upper portion of the collar hits the side surface of the contact portion 4 provided in the die 5 to make a metal. The mold 5 is prevented from shifting.

FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of the die 5 as a sectional view. As can be seen from this, the mold 5 includes two mold members 1a, 1 which are individually processed in a state of being divided in the radial direction.
The outer cross section is circular and the inner cross section is quadrangular. The single member 1 of the mold is manufactured by using a rod-shaped or plate-shaped member and cutting the outer surface and the inner surface as shown in the figure. Further, the two processed mold members 1a and 1b are joined by welding, and the welding position is a groove-like welded portion 6 provided by a cutting process at a portion where the respective mold members 1a and 1b are combined, Weld continuously along the axis of rotation. In order to manufacture the cast product 10 by casting the molten metal into the mold 5 assembled in this way, it is necessary to apply the coating mold 7 to the inner surface of the mold 5 in advance. The coating die 7 is provided for the purpose of preventing seizure between the metal to be cast and the die 5, preventing the molten metal from rapidly cooling, and preventing the molten metal from entering the joint of the die 5.

Next, a second embodiment of FIG. 3 will be described. In this embodiment, four mold members 1a, 1b, 1c,
In the mold 5 formed by combining 1d, the outer shape of the cross section is not a perfect circle, but the shape is a combination of arcs and straight lines, and the inner shape is a quadrangle. or,
The mold members 1 are fixed to each other by an outer frame 2 fitted onto a mold 5. The outer frame 2 is provided over the entire length of the mold 5. Further, welding may be used together for fixing the mold members 1 to each other. The die 5 of this embodiment has an advantage that the die strength is not insufficient as a whole because the outer frame 2 exists even if the die member 1 is made thin.

On the other hand, FIG. 5 shows, as a third embodiment, one in which the side peripheral portion of the die 5 is cast. The mold 5 of this embodiment includes four mold members 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d.
The cross-sectional shape is an octagon consisting of straight lines on the outside and 4 on the inside.
It is a prism. As for the cast gurgling of the side peripheral portion, a sand mold having a shape enclosing the cast burring portion 8 to be casted is produced,
As an example, a method of inserting the temporarily assembled mold 5 therein and forming the cast-molded part 8 by casting in the cast-molded part 8 formed between the sand mold and the mold 5 is given. To be The mold 5 described here also has the effect of improving the mold strength as in the second embodiment, and is effective when casting a thick product requiring a large amount of heat capacity.

FIG. 4 shows an example in which the outer frame 2 of the mold 5 is used for the contact portion 4 with the support roller 3 of the mold 5 as described in the second embodiment, which is the fourth embodiment. It is shown as. As shown in the figure, the outer frame 2 is supported by the support roller 3 in the direction of the mold 5 rotation axis.
Is fitted to the peripheral portion with which the abuts in a ring shape. In this case, the outer frame 2 is provided not only at the position of the support roller 3 but also at an appropriate position where the purpose of fixing the mold 5 can be achieved depending on the length of the mold 5 in the rotation axis direction.

[Other Embodiments] <1> In the first embodiment, the example of the two-division structure in which the divided surfaces of the mold 5 are provided on the opposite sides of the cast product 10 has been described.
The number of divisions and the division positions are not limited to this embodiment, and as shown in FIGS. 6A to 6E, for example, the number of divisions may be four, and the division positions may be the cast product 1.
There may be a dividing position of the mold 5 at the corner 9 of 0. However, as in the mold 5 shown in FIG. 6C, when it is difficult to determine the respective positions when the mold members 1 are fixed to each other, a rod-shaped core material is used as a positioning tool inscribed in each mold member 1. As a result, the positions of the mold members 1 are easily determined, and welding at the welded portion 6 is facilitated.

<3> As described in the first embodiment, the raw material before being processed into the mold member 1 is rod-shaped or plate-shaped, but even when a cast product 10 having the same cross-sectional shape is produced. Figure 8
As shown in A to 8C, the shape of the raw material of the mold 5 and its processing method can be variously considered. Further, the inner surface shape of the die 5 is determined by the shape of the product 10 to be cast, but the outer surface shape of the die 5 is not necessarily limited to the circular shape, and may be a straight line or a different shape in the circumferential direction as shown in the figure. It may include the arc of.
However, in such a case, it is necessary to separately provide a contact portion 4 for transmitting the rotation of the driving roller 3a to the mold 5 by means of the outer frame 2 and the cast doll.
