Claim: What is claimed is: 1. First storage means for storing a plurality of different sewing data, and each storage data is arranged corresponding to each sewing data and can be turned on or off in association with a manual operation. And a plurality of switches having a predetermined priority set, a reading means capable of reading the corresponding sewing data from the first storage means in relation to the ON state of each switch, and a reading in relation to the start signal. A sewing machine that forms a stitch based on the selected sewing data, a first judging means for judging the ON or OFF state of each switch when the power is turned on, and the ON judgment by the first judging means. When there are a plurality of switches that are determined to be in the ON state by the second storage unit that performs the switched switch and the first determination unit, the priority order of those switches is determined. Second determining means, first operating means for operating the reading means so as to read the sewing data corresponding to the switch having a high priority by the second determining means, and the second storing means after the power is turned on. A deletion means for deleting the memory of the switch from the second storage means in relation to the stored switch being switched from the on state to the off state, and being related to the switch being switched from the off state to the on state after the power is turned on. Then, the discriminating means for discriminating whether or not the switch is stored in the second storing means and the switch stored in the second storing means by the above discrimination is replaced with the sewing data corresponding to the priority switch. And a second operating means which acts on the reading means so as to read the sewing data corresponding to the switch, and a controller for the data selecting means of the sewing machine.
