Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the user of an automobile to surely make a horizontal and vertical setting of a head lamp by carrying out readjustment with the use of an adjusting screw so as to compensate a head lamp for an individual difference of a vehicle body upon attachment of the head lamp onto the vehicle body on an assembly line, and by attaching an alignment mark indicating thus obtained set value on the automobile. CONSTITUTION:In the case of replacement of head lamps due to damage or the like, a head lamp 1 for repair is set at its original position by means of a horizontal jig 21. A horizontal arrow mark of a horizontal index 7 of the head lamp 5 for repair is not naturally aligned with a horizontal alignment mark 8 on an automobile 20 due to an individual difference of the automobile. By surely setting the horizontal arrow mark 6c of the horizontal index 7 to the horizontal alignment mark 8 with the use of a horizontally adjusting screw 3b, the compensation for the individual difference may be made, that is, the horizontal setting is completed. Namely, no level is required for horizontal setting of a head lamp, and further, the installation of the head lamp can be made without a lens 2 being adjusted to the horizontal set position. Accordingly, the setting may be made to be simple, thereby the setting of the head lamp can be made even by the user for an automobile.

However, the conventional aiming method described above requires sights 33, 33 in addition to the headlamps 31, 31 and the vehicle 32, and this is difficult for general car users who do not normally have such equipment. For example, even if the headlamp 31 is damaged, there is a problem in that it is impossible to replace or adjust it. In addition, in modern automobiles 32, there is a tendency to adopt headlamps that are called irregular headlamps and are adapted to the automobile design, so the sights also have adjustment functions such as adapters to adapt them. The thing that was set appears,
This poses a problem in that the handling becomes complicated for repairers and the like, and furthermore, automobile manufacturers cannot adopt anything other than the headlamp 31 in which the lens rotates as the aim is aimed, resulting in design problems. This gives rise to the problem of being subject to restrictions, and solving these problems has become an issue.

Next, the present invention will be explained in detail based on embodiments shown in the drawings. In the present invention, the horizontal aiming device and the vertical aiming device have almost the same configuration, so in order to avoid unnecessarily congesting the explanation, the outline will be given as an example of the horizontal aiming device, and the vertical aiming device will be explained as an example. We will only explain the different parts. What is indicated by the reference numeral 1 in FIG. 1 is a headlamp, and this headlamp 1 is horizontally rotatable and horizontally aimed, which is the same as in the conventional example. In this case, the lens 2 does not rotate at the same time due to the horizontal aiming, and only the reflecting mirror 3 rotates by the rotation shaft 3a and the horizontal adjustment screw 31b. At the same time, the horizontal adjustment screw 3b
A horizontal indicator 7 consisting of a horizontal nut part 5 and a horizontal indicator part 6 is screwed onto this extended part, so that it can face a horizontal indicator 8 provided on the side of the vehicle 20. ing. What is shown in FIG. 2 is a sectional view showing the structure of the horizontal indicator 7 in more detail, and shows the horizontal nut portion 5.
is screwed into the horizontal adjustment screw 3b, and at the same time passes through the horizontal marking part 6 in a cylindrical shape, and the horizontal marking part 6 is held between a collar 5a and a knob 5b provided at both ends. One horizontal indicator part 6 is a guide rail 6a attached to a fixed part such as the housing 4, for example.
The horizontal nut part 5 is slidably fitted into the horizontal nut part 5, and the rotation of the horizontal nut part 5 is prevented by the set screw 6b.
When the horizontal adjustment screw 3b is rotated, the horizontal indicator 7 moves in the front-rear direction along the optical axis of the headlamp 1 while remaining in the state shown in FIG. Here, when loosening the set screw 6b, the nut portion 5 becomes rotatable relative to the horizontal marking portion 6, so if the knob 5b is rotated in this state,
Even when the horizontal adjustment screw 3b is stopped, the horizontal indicator 7 can be moved to any position on the horizontal adjustment screw 3b. When aiming horizontally with the headlamp 1 having the configuration described above, first, as shown in FIG.
On the lamp assembly line, the headlamp 1 is mounted on a horizontal jig 21 that simulates the mounting state on an automobile 20 (not shown here), and in this state horizontal aiming is performed using the horizontal adjustment screw 3b. A horizontal indicator mark 21a is attached to the horizontal jig 21, and after the horizontal aiming is performed, the set screw 6b is loosened and the knob 5b is
is rotated so that the horizontal arrow 6c of the horizontal marking part 6 is correctly opposed to the horizontal indicator mark 21a, and then the set screw 6b is tightened to fix the horizontal nut part 5 and the horizontal marking part 6, and in this state. The headlamp 1 will be supplied to an automobile assembly line. On the automobile assembly line, the headlamp 1 is attached to the automobile 20 as shown in Figure 4, but since horizontal aiming has already been done on the lamp assembly line, there should be no need for readjustment in principle. However, in reality, there are individual differences in the automobile 20 due to cumulative parts errors, etc., so this does not necessarily mean that no adjustment is required. Therefore, even on an automobile assembly line, slight horizontal aiming is carried out as readjustment using the horizontal adjustment screw 3b. At a position facing the horizontal indicator 7 of the vehicle 20, a horizontal reference mark 8 is provided by a means capable of sliding back and forth, such as by screwing, and after the readjustment, the horizontal arrow 6c of the horizontal indicator 7 and Horizontal target 8 is correctly confronted. Now, if we consider in detail the readjustment process described above, we will find the position of the horizontal index 7 set on the lamp assembly line (hereinafter referred to as the initial position) and the horizontal index reset on the automobile assembly line. The amount of movement between the position 7 (hereinafter referred to as the secondary position) is an individual difference that this automobile 20 has, and setting the horizontal reference mark 8 at the secondary position eliminates that individual difference. The horizontal aiming position including the horizontal aiming position is set. In this state, if the headlamp 1 is forced to be replaced due to damage, etc., if the repair headlamp 1 is installed on the automobile 20, the repair headlamp 1 can also be replaced with the above-mentioned horizontal jig.
Since the initial position is set by 1, the horizontal arrow 6 of the horizontal indicator 7 of this repair headlamp 1
c and the horizontal target mark 8 on the car 20 side naturally do not face each other correctly due to the individual differences of the cars 20 described above, and here, the horizontal arrow 6 of the horizontal mark 7
By properly facing the horizontal reference mark 8 using the horizontal adjustment screw 3b, the individual differences described above are corrected and horizontal aiming is performed. That is, according to the present invention, it is possible to perform horizontal aiming without the need for a conventional sighting device, so it is possible to install the lens 2 without cooperating with a horizontal aiming device, and the horizontal Adjustment screw 3
Since the work is simple, adjusting the horizontal arrow 6c of the horizontal indicator 7 and the horizontal reference mark 8 by adjusting the horizontal arrow 6c of the horizontal indicator 7, it can be carried out very easily even by an automobile user. What is shown in FIG. 5 is an example in which the present invention is applied to a vertical aiming device, in which the lens 2 of the headlamp 1 is fixed to the automobile 20 side and only the reflector 3 is rotated by the vertical adjustment screw 31c, as in the previous embodiment. It is now possible to move. At the same time, the vertical adjustment screw 3c is inserted into the housing 4.
It is also mechanically similar to the previous embodiment that a horizontal indicator 17 consisting of a vertical nut part 15 and a vertical marking part 16 having a vertical arrow 16c is screwed onto this extended part. It is. Therefore, the vertical arrow 16c of the vertical index 17 and the vertical indicator are attached to the vertical jig 22 provided with the vertical indicator mark 22a shown in FIG. The procedure for correctly facing the mark 22a is that after being supplied to the automobile assembly line, readjustment is performed using the vertical adjustment screw 3c corresponding to individual differences in the automobile 20, and as a result, the vertical arrow 16c of the vertical indicator 17 The procedure (see FIG. 5) for properly confronting the vertical composite marks 18 is basically exactly the same. Next, to explain the special effects when used for vertical aiming, the vertical aiming on the above-mentioned automobile assembly line is performed on a strictly horizontal reference plane, which was also explained in the conventional example, and that situation is as described above. Since it is stored as the position of the vertical alignment 18, for example, when replacing the headlamp 1 with a repair one due to damage, there is no need for a reference surface for this replacement work, and the replacement can be done in any state. . Note that other effects are the same as those described in the previous horizontal aiming embodiment, so detailed explanations will be omitted here. Further, in the above embodiment, the headlamp 1 has either horizontal aiming or vertical aiming, but as shown in FIG. 3c are provided with vertical indicators 17, and these indicators 1 of the automobile 20
By providing a horizontal reference mark 8 and a vertical reference mark 18 at the positions corresponding to 7 and 17, it may be implemented for both horizontal and vertical aiming, and in this case, it is natural to combine the previous two embodiments. Needless to say, it is effective.

As explained above, according to the present invention, a single headlamp can be installed horizontally and virtually installed on a vehicle body.
Adjust the vertical or both adjusting screws to aim horizontally, set the index at a predetermined position, and then readjust the headlamp to correct individual differences in the vehicle body when installing the headlamp to the vehicle body on the vehicle assembly line. By using a reference mark that matches the position of the indicator at this time as the aiming method for the headlamp installed on the car body, for example, when replacing the headlamp, the aiming function can be added to the car itself, and it is possible to replace the aiming function that was previously required when aiming. This eliminates the need for a fixed sight or reference plane, enables even vehicle users without special equipment and skills to reliably aim horizontally and vertically, and has the excellent effect of facilitating maintenance. In addition, by eliminating the need for a sight, the lens of the headlamp can be fixed to the vehicle, which also has the effect of reducing restrictions on the design of the vehicle.
