(Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a color photographic material containing a novel compound capable of making photographically useful groups available during development processing. (Background Art) By color-developing a silver halide color photographic material, the oxidized aromatic primary amino color developing agent and the coupler react to form indophenol, indoaniline, indamine, azomethine, etc.
It is known that phenoxazine, phenazine and similar dyes can be produced to form color images. In this system, subtractive color reproduction is usually used for color reproduction, with silver halide emulsions selectively sensitive to blue, green, and red, and yellow, magenta, and cyan color image-forming agents, which are complementary colors, respectively. is used. To form a yellow image, for example, an acylacetanilide or dibenzoylmethane coupler is used, and to form a magenta image, a pyrazolone, pyrazolobenzimidazole, cyanoacetophenone or indazolone coupler is mainly used. phenolic couplers, such as phenols and naphthols, are used primarily to form cyan images. In recent years, high image quality has become more important than ever for silver halide photographic materials, especially color photographic materials, as disk cameras and halo size cameras have become widespread. In particular, it is important to improve sharpness and graininess. It has been known that couplers are used not only to form dye images but also to release photographically useful groups. Compounds that release photographically useful groups are used for purposes such as improving color reproducibility, improving graininess, improving sharpness, or increasing sensitivity. For example, US Pat. No. 3,227,554, US Pat. No. 3,148,062 and Journal
of the American Chemical Society, Vol. 72 (1950), p. 1533, couplers that release a development inhibitor or dye from the coupling position are recorded. Also, US Pat. No. 3,705,801 discloses couplers that are capable of releasing bleach inhibitors from the coupling site after reaction of the coupler with oxidized developing agent. More recently, Japanese Published Patent Application No. 57-150845 discloses couplers that release a fogging agent from the coupling site after reaction between the oxidized developing agent and the coupler. It is common knowledge in the industry that for compounds that release photographically useful groups, it is more important to have a technique for adjusting the speed at which they are released and the extent to which they are diffused into emulsions than to adjust the photographic action of the photographically useful groups. be. It is also disclosed in Japanese Patent Application No. 146,712/1989 that the greater the diffusibility of the released development inhibitor, the greater the sharpness. As one such technique, a method is known in which a photographically useful group is not released directly from a coupling site, but indirectly via a timing group. For example, Unexamined Japanese Patent Publication No. 1973-
Publication No. 145135 describes a coupler in which a photographically useful group is bonded via a timing group. A method is disclosed in which a photographically useful group is finally released by an intramolecular nucleophilic substitution reaction. It is said that by such a method, it is possible to adjust the effects of the photographically useful group over a wide range of time, or to adjust the diffusion distance, etc. by selecting the timing group. However, in the photographic coupler specifically described in the above publication, a nucleophilic group capable of causing an intramolecular nucleophilic substitution reaction is directly bonded to the coupler component, so there is freedom in selecting the coupler component and the nucleophilic group. It has the disadvantage that the degree is limited. Therefore,
It has been extremely difficult to design a timing group that satisfies the performance as a nucleophilic group and also satisfies the coupling performance of a coupler. Moreover, many of the photographic couplers specifically exemplified have problems in stability, decompose during storage, and have the undesirable problem of deteriorating the photosensitive material. In order to improve these shortcomings, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 1983-

Although an improvement measure has been proposed in 209739, it has not yet been possible to solve the above drawbacks. In other words, these improvement measures are based on the fact that the coupler component reacts with the oxidized color developing agent, and the leaving group released as the first step causes an electron transfer reaction within the molecule via the conjugated system. The nucleophilic group releases a photographically useful group through an intramolecular nucleophilic substitution reaction (JP-A-57-56839), or an intramolecular electron transfer reaction via a conjugated system releases a photographically useful group. Since the atoms bonded to the coupler component are not directly involved in the release mechanism of the photographically useful group, there is a wider range of options for combinations of coupler components and timing groups. Another attempt was to improve stability during storage by changing the release mechanism. The photographic coupler disclosed in the above publication does not sufficiently control the release rate and the diffusion distance of the photographically useful group, which are the original purposes of the timing group, and is not necessarily satisfactory in terms of storage stability. Ta. OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, a first object of the present invention is to provide a photographic coupler containing independently and widely controllable coupling reaction rate with an oxidized developing agent and rate of release of a photographically useful group from a timing group. The purpose of the present invention is to provide color photographic materials that can be used. A second object of the present invention is to provide a color photographic material containing a timing release type photographic coupler having excellent storage stability. The third object of the present invention is to
An object of the present invention is to provide a color photographic material with excellent graininess and sharpness. (Structure of the Invention) The above objects of the present invention are characterized in that, in a coupler having a group that can be cleaved by reaction with an oxidized developing agent, the cleavable group is represented by the following general formula []. The speed at which the photographic effect appears can be controlled by selecting the groups represented by L and TIME in the general formula (). Furthermore, the photographic effect of PUG can be adjusted to desired properties depending on the purpose. it is
This can be done by adjusting the substituents of PUG, such as adjusting whether it is electron-withdrawing or electron-donating or hydrophilic or hydrophobic. Preferred examples of PUG include the following. In the formula, G 1 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group (e.g. methyl group, ethyl group, etc.), an acylamino group (e.g. benzamide group, hexanamide group), an alkoxy group (e.g. butoxy group, benzyloxy group), sulfonamide group. groups (e.g. octanesulfonamide group, para-toluenesulfonamide group), aryl groups (e.g. phenyl group, 4-
chlorophenyl group), alkylthio group (e.g. methylthio group, butylthio group), alkylamino group (cyclohexylamino group, etc.), anilino group (anilino group, 4-methoxycarbonylanilino group, etc.), amino group, alkoxycarbonyl group (methoxycarbonyl group) group, butoxycarbonyl group, etc.),
Acyloxy groups (acetyl group, butanoyl group, benzoyl group, etc.), nitro group, cyano group, sulfonyl group (butanesulfonyl group, benzenesulfonyl group, etc.), aryloxy group (phenoxy group,
naphthyloxy group, etc.), hydroxy group, thioamide group (butanethioamide group, benzenethiocarbonamide group, etc.), carbamoyl group (carbamoyl group, N-arylcarbamoyl group, etc.), sulfamoyl group (sulfamoyl group, N-arylsulfamoyl group) etc.), a carboxyl group, a ureido group (ureido group, N-ethylureido group, etc.), or an aryloxycarbonyl group (phenoxycarbonyl group, 4-methoxyphenoxycarbonyl group, etc.). In the formula, G 2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group (eg, methyl group, ethyl group) or an aryl group (eg, phenyl group, naphthyl group). In the formula, G3 is a hydroxy group, a sulfonamide group (e.g., butanesulfonamide group, benzenesulfonamide group), an amino group, an alkylamino group (e.g., ethylamino group, cyclohexylamino group), an anilino group (e.g., anilino group, 4 -methylanilino group) or a hydrogen atom, and the two G3s in general formula (P-5) may be the same or different, provided that both are not hydrogen atoms. In general formulas (P-6) and (P-7)
G 4 represents an aryl group (eg, phenyl group, naphthyl group). Furthermore, G 5 is a hydrogen atom, a heterocyclic thio group (for example, a group represented by general formula (P-3) or (P-4)), or a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group fused to a benzene ring (for example, a group represented by general formula (P-4)) 1) or (P-2)). f represents an integer of 1 or 2. In the formula, V 1 is a nitrogen atom or

And in (P-9), when G 1 , G 2 , G 3 , G 4 or G 5 contains an alkyl group moiety, the alkyl group has 1 to 22 carbon atoms, preferably 1 to 10 carbon atoms, substituted or unsubstituted, straight It may be chain or branched, linear or cyclic, saturated or unsaturated.
Further, when G 1 , G 2 , G 3 , G 4 or G 5 contains an aryl group, the aryl group has 6 to 10 carbon atoms and is preferably a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group. The general formulas ((P-1), (P-2), (P-3) and (P-4) are development inhibitors. In the general formulas () and () having these groups, A is a coupler. When the residue is expressed, it is generally referred to as a DIR coupler. The DIR coupler of the present invention can more effectively control the range of action of the inhibitor than the known DIR couplers, and has sufficient stability. As a result, color photographic images with good graininess, color reproducibility due to the multilayer effect, and especially sharpness were obtained.General formulas (P-5), (P-6), and (P-7)
is a developing agent and has a reducing effect. Various effects of these groups on photographic properties are known. When reducing oxidized developing agent, it is called a competitive compound and is good for improving graininess or sharpness, and when reducing silver halide or acting as an auxiliary developer, it increases sensitivity. General formulas ((P-8) and (P-9) are examples of couplers. Since these compounds function as competitive couplers, they were particularly excellent in improving grain size. General formulas (P-5), (P- 8) and (P-9)

We were able to efficiently add the function of a coupler. Particularly preferred among these photographically useful groups are development inhibitors, typical examples of which are mercaptotetrazole, mercaptobenzothiazole, mercaptobenzoxazole,
It can release heterocyclic compounds such as mercaptobenzimidazole, benzotriazole, and benzodiazole. In the general formula, TIME refers to a timing group, which was released in one go.

Chem. Soe., 76-76, 1286 (1954), 1-(mp. 115°C) were synthesized. 1- was hydrolyzed in an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution by refluxing, and after the reaction, the reaction solution was neutralized and the product was extracted with ethyl acetate. After drying the acetic acid solution, an equimolar amount of N-phenyltetrazolylthiocarbonyl chloride was added dropwise thereto at room temperature. Further, equimolar amount of triethylamine was added and stirred for 1 hour, and then the reaction solution was washed with dilute hydrochloric acid and sodium carbonate solution. The solvent was distilled off to obtain compounds 2-. Compound 2 ~ and 3 times the mole of paraformaldehyde are reacted in acetic acid at room temperature for 12 hours,
The precipitated crystals were filtered off. After washing with water, it was sufficiently dried to obtain methylol compound 2. This product was reacted with an equimolar amount of thionyl chloride at 80° C. for 3 hours using toluene as a solvent. The solvent was distilled off to obtain compounds 3-
A crude crystal of was obtained. Dimethylformamide solution of compound 4~ (hereinafter
After adding 2 equivalents of sodium methoxide to the DMF solution), equimolar amounts of compounds 3 to 3 were added at room temperature. After 3 hours of reaction, products 5~ were precipitated from the reaction solution using methanol. Compound 5 ~ A DMF solution of equimolar o-tetradecyloxyaniline was reacted with equimolar dicyclohexylcarbodiimide at room temperature. After stirring for 3 hours, the product was extracted with ethyl acetate,
After washing with dilute hydrochloric acid and sodium carbonate solution, the solvent was concentrated to obtain crude crystals of compound (1). The final target product (1) was obtained by recrystallizing this from ethyl acetate. Thionyl chloride was added dropwise to 4-hydroxymethylimidazole at room temperature using acetonitrile as a solvent, and the mixture was stirred for 3 hours. The precipitated crystals were filtered to obtain the hydrochloride of Compound 7. This was dissolved in acetone containing an equimolar amount of triethylamine, and the sodium salt of 1-phenyl-5-mercaptotetrazole was added, followed by reaction at room temperature for 2 hours. After evaporating the solvent, the product was extracted with ethyl acetate and washed with aqueous sodium carbonate solution. Compounds 8~ obtained by distilling off the solvent were reacted with excess paraformaldehyde in acetic acid at room temperature for 12 hours, and the precipitated crystals were filtered. This methylol compound was washed with water, thoroughly dried, and then reacted with thionyl chloride at 60°C using toluene as a solvent. After 2 hours, the solvent was distilled off to obtain crude crystals of Compound 9. Compounds 4- were reacted with 2 equivalents of sodium methoxide in DMF, and then compounds 9- were added at room temperature. After stirring for 3 hours, the product was extracted with ethyl acetate and washed with dilute hydrochloric acid and sodium carbonate solution. The solvent was distilled off and concentrated, and the precipitated crystals were filtered to obtain Compounds 10-. Compound 10 ~, equimolar of hexadecylamine
Equimolar amounts of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide were added dropwise to the DMF solution at room temperature, and stirring was continued for 3 hours.
After removing precipitated urea, the product was extracted with ethyl acetate, washed with dilute hydrochloric acid, and concentrated. Recrystallized from ethyl acetate-methanol to obtain exemplified compound (2)
I got it. Examples of couplers that can be used in the present invention in addition to the couplers of the present invention include the following dye-forming couplers, i.e., aromatic primary amine developers (e.g., phenylene diamine derivatives, aminophenol derivatives, etc.) in the color development process. compounds that can develop color through oxidative coupling with
For example, magenta couplers include 5-pyrazolone couplers, pyrazolobenzimidazole couplers, cyanoacetylcoumarone couplers, open-chain acylacetonitrile couplers, and yellow couplers include acylacetamide couplers (e.g., benzoylacetanilides, pivaloylacetanilides), Examples of cyan couplers include naphthol couplers and phenol couplers. These couplers are preferably non-diffusible and have a hydrophobic group called a ballast group in their molecules, or are polymerized. The coupler may be either 4-equivalent or 2-equivalent to silver ions. It may also be a colored coupler that has a color correction effect or a coupler that releases a development inhibitor during development (so-called DIR coupler). In addition to the DIR coupler, the coupling reaction product is colorless and may contain a colorless DIR coupling compound that releases a development inhibitor. Of course, two or more types of the above-mentioned couplers and the like can be used in the same layer in order to satisfy the characteristics required of a photosensitive material, or the same compound can be added to two or more different layers. A coupler can be introduced into the silver halide emulsion layer by a known method, such as the method described in US Pat. No. 2,322,027. For example, phthalic acid alkyl esters (dibutyl phthalate, dioctyl phthalate, etc.), phosphoric acid esters (diphenyl phosphate, triphonyl phosphate, tricresyl phosphate, dioctyl butyl phosphate), citric acid esters (e.g. acetyl tributyl citrate), benzoic acid esters (e.g. octyl benzoate), alkylamides (e.g. diethyl laurylamide), fatty acid esters (e.g. dibutoxyethyl succinate, diethyl azelate), trimesic acid esters (e.g. tributyl trimesate). ) etc., or boiling point approx.
Organic solvent at 30°C to 150°C, such as ethyl acetate,
After being dissolved in a lower alkyl acetate such as butyl acetate, ethyl propionate, secondary butyl alcohol, methyl isobutyl ketone, β-ethoxyethyl acetate, methyl cellosolve acetate, etc., it is dispersed in a hydrophilic colloid. The above-mentioned high boiling point organic solvent and low boiling point organic solvent may be used in combination. Further, the dispersion method using a polymer described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 51-39853 and Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 51-59943 can also be used. When the coupler has an acid group such as carboxylic acid or sulfonic acid, it can also be introduced into the hydrophilic colloid as an alkaline aqueous solution. The photographic coloring agent used is conveniently selected to give a mid-tone gray image. The maximum absorption band of the cyan dye formed from the cyan color former is between about 600 and 720 nm, and the maximum absorption band of the magenta dye formed from the magenta color former is about 500 nm.
and 580 nm, and the maximum absorption band of the yellow dye formed from the yellow color former is preferably between about 400 and 480 nm. The light-sensitive material produced using the present invention may contain a hydroquinone derivative, an aminophenol derivative, a gallic acid derivative, a muscorbic acid derivative, etc. as a color antifoggant. The photosensitive material produced using the present invention may contain an ultraviolet absorber in the hydrophilic colloid layer. For example, benzotriazole compounds substituted with aryl groups (such as those described in U.S. Pat. No. 3,533,794), 4-thiazolidone compounds (such as those described in U.S. Pat.
3314794 and 3352681), benzophenone compounds (e.g., those described in JP-A-46-2784), cinnamate ester compounds (e.g., those described in U.S. Pat. Nos. 3705805 and 3707375), butadiene compounds (eg, as described in US Pat. No. 4,045,229), or benzoxide compounds (eg, as described in US Pat. No. 3,700,455). Additionally, U.S. Patent No. 3,499,762;
The material described in JP-A-54-48535 can also be used. An ultraviolet absorbing coupler (for example, an α-naphthol cyan dye-forming coupler) or an ultraviolet absorbing polymer may be used. These ultraviolet absorbers may be mordanted in specific layers. The photosensitive material produced using the present invention may contain a water-soluble dye in the hydrophilic colloid layer as a filter dye or for various purposes such as preventing irradiation. Such dyes include
Included are oxonol dyes, hemioxonol dyes, styryl dyes, merocyanine dyes, cyanine dyes and azo dyes. Among them, oxonol dyes; hemioxonol dyes and merocyanine dyes are useful. The photographic emulsion layer or other hydrophilic colloid layer of the light-sensitive material produced using the present invention contains coating aids, antistatic properties, smoothness improvement, emulsification dispersion, adhesion prevention, and improvement of photographic properties (e.g., development acceleration, high contrast ,increase)
Various surfactants may be included for various purposes. In the photographic emulsion used in the present invention, any of silver bromide, silver iodobromide, silver iodochlorobromide, silver chlorobromide and silver chloride may be used as the silver halide. The particle size distribution may be narrow or wide. Silver halide grains in photographic emulsions may have regular crystal shapes such as cubes and octahedrons, or irregular crystal shapes such as spherical and plate shapes. It may be a crystalline substance or a compound of these crystalline forms.
It may also consist of a mixture of particles of various crystalline forms. The silver halide grains may have different phases inside and on the surface, or may consist of a uniform phase.
Further, the particles may be particles in which the latent image is mainly formed on the surface, or may be particles in which the latent image is mainly formed inside the particles. The photographic emulsion used in the present invention is written by P. Glafkides.

(The Focal Press, 1964). That is, any of the acidic method, neutral method, ammonia method, etc. may be used, and the methods for reacting the soluble silver salt and soluble halogen salt include one-sided mixing method, simultaneous mixing method,
Any combination thereof may be used. It is also possible to use a method in which particles are formed in an excess of silver ions (so-called back-mixing method).
As one type of simultaneous mixing method, a method in which the pAg in the liquid phase in which silver halide is produced can be kept constant, that is, a so-called controlled double jet method can also be used. According to this method, a silver halide emulsion with a regular crystal shape and a nearly uniform grain size can be obtained. Two or more types of silver halide emulsions formed separately may be mixed and used. For photographic processing of the light-sensitive material of the present invention, any known method can be used, and known processing solutions can be used. Further, the treatment temperature is usually selected between 18°C and 50°C, but it may be lower than 18°C or higher than 50°C. Color developers generally consist of an alkaline aqueous solution containing a color developing agent. The color developing agent is a known primary aromatic amine developer, such as phenylenediamines (e.g., 4-amino-N,N-diethylaniline, 3-methyl-4-amino-N,N-diethylaniline, 4-amino- N-ethyl-N-
