Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a stocker by which cost reduction can be attained. CONSTITUTION:A housing cage 10 arranged between a receiving conveyor 8 and a delivery conveyor 9 is a multistage structure formed by stacking work housing parts 23a-23b in a plural-stage shape. These work housing parts 23a-23b are composed of plural number of work support bodies 14 arranged on the same plane in parallel with each other in the orthogonal direction to the conveying direction of a work 19 and the upper space. A transfer mechanism 11 is also arranged outside of the housing cage 10. On the same plane with the conveying surfaces of the receiving and delivery devices 8 and 9, this transfer mechanism 11 has a freely movable clamp 25 between both the devices 8 and 9. The housing cage 10 is raised/lowered intermittently by means of an lifting/lowering mechanism 12.

By the way, the stocker is provided with a carry-out roller and a drive unit for the carry-out roller for each storage section. For this reason, a large number of carry-out rollers and their driving devices are required in the entire apparatus, which causes a problem of increasing the cost of the apparatus due to an increase in the number of parts. Since this problem becomes more remarkable as the number of stages of the storage section is increased, improvement has been demanded.

According to the present invention, a work supporting member composed of a free roller or the like is provided in the storage cage, and the work is transferred in the storage cage by a transfer mechanism provided outside the storage cage. Therefore, it is not necessary to dispose a transport roller for transporting the work, a drive device for driving the transport roller, or the like in each work storage portion of the storage cage. As a result, cost reduction can be achieved by reducing the number of parts, and an inexpensive stocker can be provided even when the number of stages of the work support group is increased. Further, the work loading / unloading procedure is not limited to the so-called first-in / out-out procedure, and various loading / unloading procedures can be selected. Therefore, the degree of freedom of work loading / unloading work is improved.

1. A storage cage arranged between a carry-in device and a carry-out device, a transfer mechanism arranged outside the storage cage, and a lifting mechanism for intermittently raising and lowering the storage cage. In the storage cage, a plurality of work support groups formed by arranging a plurality of work support bodies in parallel on the same plane and in a direction orthogonal to the work transfer direction are vertically stacked with a predetermined interval. A stocker having a multi-stage structure, wherein the transfer mechanism has a clamp that holds an end of a work piece and moves between the loading and unloading devices on the same plane as the transport surface of the loading and unloading device.
