Abstract

PURPOSE:To offer a skin in-mold molding method by which an overlap of a skin material does not occur during molding stage. CONSTITUTION:A roughened surface is provided at least on a partial area in an inner face 4a of a first mold. Thereby, the friction force between a skin material 1 and the inner face 4a of the first mold is enhanced, keeping the skin material 1 from being slid along the inner face 4a of the first mold as a molten resin 5 flows. As a result, the skin material 1 is prevented from stretching and overlaping.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as shown in FIG.
An in-mold molding method is known in which a molded body is manufactured by using a skin material 91 composed of a foam layer 91b integrally formed on the back surface side of the skin 91a. The skin 91a is made of vinyl chloride, for example. The foam layer 91b is made of polypropylene foam, for example. This skin material 91
Is arranged so as to face the first mold inner surface 94a of the cavity 94 formed by the compression mold 90 including the upper mold 92 and the upper mold 93. Then, a predetermined amount of molten resin 95 made of polypropylene, for example, is injected between the back surface of the skin material 91 in the cavity 94 and the second mold inner surface 94b facing the first mold inner surface 94a, and the lower part of the compression mold 90 is injected. The mold 93 is brought close to the upper mold 92 for compression molding. Thus, the molten resin 9
5 is solidified to integrally form a meat portion on the back surface of the skin material 91 to obtain a molded body.

However, in the conventional in-mold molding method, since the inner surface 94a of the first mold is smooth, the molten resin 95 flowing in different directions causes the surface of the skin as shown in FIG. Material 91 is the first mold inner surface 94a
As a result, as shown in FIG. 7, the skin material 91 is extended to partially form an overlapping portion 91c, and the overlapping portion 91c is integrally formed by a meat portion made of the molten resin 95. There was a case to do. In this case, the molded product becomes a defective product due to wrinkles caused by the overlapping portion 91c. In addition, the overlapping portion 91c and the overlapping portion 91c
Even if the meat portion integrally formed on the back surface of the sheet is a portion that is punched out at the product stage, the skin material 91 forms the overlapping portion 91c, thereby producing a defective product in which the skin material 91 does not exist in other portions. ..

According to the in-mold molding method of the present invention, after the skin material is arranged facing the inner surface of the first mold of the cavity, the back surface of the skin material in the cavity and the inner surface of the first mold. In-mold molding for injecting a predetermined amount of molten resin between the inner surface of the second mold and the inner surface of the second mold, and in-molding a molded body including the skin material and a meat portion integrally formed on the back surface of the skin material. The method is characterized in that at least a part of the inner surface of the first mold is a rough surface.

The position of the rough surface of the inner surface of the first mold is preferably a portion where the stress becomes particularly large, such as a weld portion where molten resin flowing in different directions collides. Further, this position can be a part punched out at the product stage when the transfer of the rough surface to the skin material is avoided.

In the in-mold molding method of the present invention, since at least a part of the inner surface of the first die is rough, the frictional force between the skin material and the inner surface of the first die is strong, and the flow of the molten resin causes The skin material does not easily slip on the inner surface of the first mold. For this reason, the skin material is not stretched at the molding stage, and thus the overlapping portion is not formed.

Further, a compression mold 10 including an upper mold 2 and an upper mold 3 for forming a cavity 4 is prepared. The first die inner surface 4a of the cavity 4 of the upper die 2 has a roughened surface at the product stage in order to prevent the rough surface from being transferred to the skin material 1. On the other hand, the second die inner surface 4b of the lower die 3 that faces the first die inner surface 4a of the cavity 4 is smooth. Then, the skin material 1 is arranged to face the first mold inner surface 4a in a state where the skin 1a is in contact with the first mold inner surface 4a.

After this, the skin material 1 in the cavity 4
A predetermined amount of molten resin 5 made of polypropylene is injected between the back surface of the mold and the second mold inner surface 4b. And the compression mold 10
The lower mold 3 is brought close to the upper mold 2 and compression molded. At this time,
In this in-mold molding method, since a part of the inner surface 4a of the first mold is a rough surface, the frictional force between the skin material 1 and the inner surface 4a of the first mold is strong and even when the molten resin 5 flows, The material 1 is unlikely to slip on the inner surface 4a of the first mold. For this reason,
As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the skin material 1 is not stretched during the molding step, and an overlapping portion as in the conventional case is not formed.

In this way, the molten resin 5 is solidified to integrally form a flesh portion on the back surface of the skin material 1, and a molded body for an instrument panel is obtained. As shown in FIG. 4, this instrument panel molded body is made into an instrument panel 6 by punching out a register portion 7 and the like.
Therefore, if this in-mold molding method is adopted,
There is no wrinkle in the instrument panel molded body, and the instrument panel 6 always has the skin material 1
Therefore, it is possible to reduce the product cost without producing a defective product.

As described in detail above, in the in-mold molding method of the present invention, since the inner surface of the first mold, at least a part of which is rough, is used, the skin material overlaps at the molding stage. Does not occur. Therefore, if this in-mold molding method is adopted, wrinkles do not occur in the molded body, and since the skin material is always present in the necessary parts of the product, the product cost can be reduced without causing defective products. can do.
