CONSTITUTION: A fire extinguisher composition is constituted by containing at least one kind of fire extinguishing compound selected from an isomer and the like of dichloropentafluoropropane. In this case, in the one kind of fire extinguishing compound, its greater part is constituted of at least a 1,1- dichloro-2,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropane isomer. The isomer constitutes at least 50wt.% among at least one kind of fire extinguishing compound selected from an isomer and the like of dichloropentafluoropropane. At least one kind of another kind of fire extinguishing compound may be contained as an additional component. A fire extinguisher composition which shows an excellent fire extinguishing characteristic and is gentle to ozone, can be obtained thereby.
