Thus, the cap 3 supplied at any working position A of the turntable 7 is positioned and held in the cap insertion hole 18 formed in the electrode 14 of the processing head 8, and the stem 2 supplied at the working position C is held in position. is fitted onto the flange portion 4 of the cap 3. Then, when the processing head 8 holding the stem 2 and cap 3 intermittently stops at welding position F, the intermediate electrode 24 moves from the predetermined standby position and is placed between the electrode 14 of the processing head 8 and the upper electrode 22. After being positioned, the upper electrode 22 descends and presses the intermediate electrode 24, causing the intermediate electrode 24 to descend. In connection with the lowering movement of the intermediate electrode 24, a sensor detects whether the stem 2 and the cap 3 are successfully fitted, and among the detection signals, the pressure on the upper electrode 22 is released due to a non-fitting signal, and the intermediate electrode 2
4 stops descending, and the intermediate electrode 24 is further pressed by the upper electrode 22 due to the signal of engagement and descends. At this time, the lead 1 of the stem 2 is connected to the intermediate electrode 24.
is inserted into the lead insertion hole 27 of. When the intermediate electrode 24 descends and presses the electrode 14 of the machining head 8 through the fitted stem 2 and cap 3, the electrode 14 moves downward against the biasing force of the spring 20 and lowers. The protruding portion 16 protrudes downward from the mounting hole 10 of the head body 9 and attaches to the lower electrode 2.
3. When the upper and lower electrodes 22 and 23 are electrically connected in this way, the electrode 14 of the processing head 8 and the intermediate electrode 2
The stem 2 and the cap 3 interposed between the stem 2 and the cap 3 are pressure welded. Thereafter, the upper electrode 22 rises and the pressure on the intermediate electrode 24 is released. With this release, the intermediate electrode 24 rises and moves to its original standby position, and the electrode 14 of the processing head 8
is pushed up by the spring force of the spring 20 until it comes into contact with the stopper 19, and is separated from the lower electrode 23. When the pressure welding of the stem 2 and cap 3 is completed, the turntable 7 is again intermittently rotated and taken out from a predetermined position H.

The turntable 7 rotates clockwise intermittently, and the processing head 8 intermittently stops in the order of working positions A to H. Then, the cap 3 supplied from the cap supply position A is transferred to the processing head 8.
After being inserted and held in the cap insertion hole 18 of the electrode 14, the cap is positioned and corrected at the cap correction position B. On the other hand, the stem 2 is supplied from the stem supply position C and is fitted onto the cap 3 with the lead 1 facing upward. The posture of the lead 1 of the stem 2 is corrected by appropriate means so that it can be easily inserted into the lead insertion hole 37 of the intermediate electrode 31 at the lead correction position D. After that, stem 2 and cap 3 are moved to working position E.
When the guide rods 33, 33 move downward along the guide member 32, the intermediate electrode 31 descends until it comes into contact with the stem 2. By lowering the intermediate electrode 31, the lead 1 of the stem 2 is inserted into the lead insertion hole 37 of the intermediate electrode 31, and the stem 2 is inserted into the lead insertion hole 37 of the intermediate electrode 31.
The cap 3 and the cap 3 are temporarily fixed by the electrode 14 of the processing head 8 and the intermediate electrode 31. At the same time, in conjunction with the lowering movement of the intermediate electrode 31, a sensor provided on the intermediate electrode 31 detects the stem 2 and the cap 3.
The success or failure of the fitting is detected. Stem 2 and cap 3 are in welding position F, for which success or failure of fitting has been detected.
When the intermediate electrode 31 is interposed between the upper electrode 22 and the machining head 8, the intermediate electrode 31 is further lowered by a signal indicating that the work is fitted in the work position E, and the stem 2 and the stem 2 in the fitted state are further lowered. The electrode 14 of the processing head 8 is pressed through the cap 3. Then, the electrode 14 of the machining head 8 moves downward against the biasing force of the spring 20, and the lower protrusion 16 protrudes downward from the mounting hole 10 of the head body 9 of the machining head 8 and comes into pressure contact with the lower electrode 23.
The upper and lower electrodes 22 and 23 are electrically connected. This upper and lower electrode 2
2 and 23, the electrode 14 of the processing head 8
The fitted stem 2 and cap 3 interposed between the stem 2 and the intermediate electrode 31 are pressure welded. Incidentally, when the detection signal of the sensor is a signal indicating that the workpiece is not fitted, the intermediate electrode 31 does not operate. When the pressure welding of the workpiece is completed, the upper electrode 22 rises and the pressure on the intermediate electrode 31 is released. As this pressure is released, the intermediate electrode 31 rises and the electrode 14 of the processing head 8 is moved by the spring 20. The force pushes it up until it contacts the stopper 19 and separates it from the lower electrode 23. The stem 2 and cap 3 thus pressure welded are in working position G.
After that, it is taken out from the take-out position H. If the pressure-welded stem 2 and cap 3 are attached to the raised intermediate electrode 31,
The stem 2 and cap 3 are in working position G.
Then, it is separated from the intermediate electrode 31 by appropriate means and held on the processing head 8.

In the above embodiment, the cap 3 is held on the processing head 8 and the stem 2 is held on the intermediate electrode 31, but the present invention is not limited to this. The stem 2 may also be held on the intermediate electrode 31, and the cap 3 may be held on the intermediate electrode 31.

Effects of the invention According to the invention, it is possible to detect the success or failure of fitting of the workpiece on the processing head at a position immediately before the welding position using an intermediate electrode, and to perform pressure welding of the workpiece at the welding position in parallel. Since this is possible, the workpiece welding time can be significantly shortened and workability can be improved. Further, since the intermediate electrodes are provided at equal positions on the circumference of the turntable, there is little wear on the intermediate electrodes, and the turntable can be used for a long period of time. Furthermore, since the workpiece can be temporarily fixed in advance prior to pressure welding of the workpiece, there is no risk of welding defects or the like occurring.

A machining head is installed at equidistant positions on the circumference of a turntable that rotates intermittently at a fixed pitch, and two workpieces are fed onto the machining head at any position among the plurality of work positions at which the machining head stops intermittently, and the workpieces are After confirming the fit of the workpiece, the workpiece is pressure welded using an upper electrode placed at a welding position and a lower electrode that is in electrical contact with the processing head, and the workpiece is welded by pressure on the processing head. An intermediate electrode is interposed between the upper and lower electrodes of the welding position, and the success or failure of fitting of the workpiece on the processing head is detected at the position just before the welding position using the intermediate electrode provided on each processing head, and welding is performed in parallel with this. 1. A sealing device characterized in that workpieces are pressure welded in a position, thereby shortening the welding time of the workpieces and preventing wear of the intermediate electrode.
