Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the stain inside a machine caused by the scattering of toner and sheet powder by providing a switching valve selectively communicating an air suction path opening inside an image forming device main body via a filter with a toner container to an air suction means. CONSTITUTION:In a device which sucks the toner inside the toner container 10 by a suction pipe 12 provided with the air suction means 11, and replenishes to toner to the toner replenishing hopper 8 of a developing device, the switching valve 15 which connects the air suction path 14 opening inside the image forming device main body via the filter 13 to the negative pressure area part of the suction pipe 12, and selectively communicates the air suction path 14 with the toner container 10 by the air suction means 11, are provided. When the toner is a prescribed quantity or above inside the toner replenishing hopper 8, a level sensor 17 does not carry out a detecting action, so that the switching valve 15 is maintained in a state where the air suction path 14 is communicated with the suction means 11 and the toner container 10 is interrupted from the suction means 11. Thus, the stain caused by the scattering of the toner and the sheet powder can be prevented.

This I/toner replenishing device transports toner from the toner container to the toner replenishing pumper along with the air sucked in by the suction means, thus eliminating the need for an I/ner cartridge lithium that is attached and detached from the top of the replenishing popper. Instead, it is possible to replenish toner using the suction pipe regardless of the positional relationship between the toner container and the toner replenishment hopper, and there are no restrictions on the installation position of the toner container. It is possible to install a large-capacity toner container using space, and by using a large-capacity toner container, it is possible to downsize the toner supply hopper and thereby downsize the developing device. It has the following advantages:
