プション基板を複数枚実装する必要があるため、メイン
基板、拡張用基板およびオプション基板の実装構造は平
面的(二次元的)配置では成しえず、立体的(三次元的
)配置を取る必要があった。このため、第5図に示すよ
うに、水平に配置したメイン基板2と複数のオプション
基板3とを、垂直に立てた拡張用基板1上のコネクタを
介して接続する方法を取っている。これら3種類の基板
を三次元的に配置するために、メインフレーム4.中間
ベース6などによる基板保持方式の実装構造を取ってい
る。

7とオプション基板3のコネクタ9の位置が合わないな
どの作業性や、実装後の基板にかかるストレス等の点で
問題があった。特に、メイン基板とオプション基板の仲
介となる拡張用基板の取り付は精度が問題であった。
