Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the current consumption of a ratio reception part while performing an announcing operation by disconnecting the power source of the radio reception part, confirming a call to an individual to be called while the announcing operation of the call is performed, and restarting the intermittent receiving operation of the radio reception part when announcement is stopped by a switch, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a synchronous signal is detected by repeating a synchronous signal detecting operation at a constant interval, the power source of the radio reception part is connected, and the receiving operation of a call signal and message data performed. When call numbers coincide with each other, the power source of the radio reception part is disconnected. At this time, the announcing operation is performed, however, the waste on-state of the radio reception part can be eliminated by continuing the disconnected state of a radio power source part, which saves the consumption of battery. When a receiver receiving the call stops and the announcement by using the switch 5, the disconnected state of the radio power source part is cancelled, and the synchronous signal detecting operation 10 is restarted.

The present invention starts a notification operation in a radio paging receiver that performs a notification operation using an LED or a buzzer in order to display data on a display according to captured message data and notify that a message has been received. Therefore, until the person who received the call confirms that the call has been made and uses a switch etc. to stop the notification operation, try to save the battery by turning off the power to the wireless receiver. It is something to do.

The radio receiving section of a radio paging receiver such as a pager employs an intermittent reception method to reduce current consumption. In this intermittent reception method, as shown in FIG. 4, for example, the ON state 10 of the wireless receiver 11iia is repeated at certain intervals, and when a synchronization signal is detected in the ON state 10, the power supply is turned off. The ON status 1!1ill continues to receive call signals and message data. When the reception of the call signal and message data is completed, the wireless receiver is turned on again at regular intervals (1).
0 is repeated to continue the synchronization signal detection operation.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention turns off the power of the radio receiving unit during the call notification operation, and the called individual notifies the user of the call using nff1. The intermittent reception operation of the wireless receiver is restarted when the notification is stopped by a switch or the like.

[Example] Examples of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings. FIG. 1 is a block diagram of a radio paging receiver showing an embodiment of the present invention. The radio receiving section 1 receives a modulated signal, demodulates it, and converts it into a digital signal. The digital signal is C
The message data is fetched into the PU control unit 2 and compared with its own call signal stored in advance, and if they match, the subsequent message data is fetched. The data is displayed on the display section 3 according to the contents of the message data, and a buzzer or the like of the notifying section 4 is used to notify that the message has been received. The notification is stopped by the switch 5. A is a control signal for turning the power supply of the wireless receiving unit ON10FF in order to perform intermittent reception, and the reception timing is created by the CPU control unit. FIG. 2 shows details of a control circuit that controls the power supply of the wireless receiving section 1. As shown in FIG. The battery 6 is stabilized by the regulator 7, and the transistor 8 switches 0N10FF of the power supply to the radio receiving section. FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the operating state of the wireless receiving section power supply. Before receiving the calling signal and message, the synchronizing signal detection operation 10 is repeated at regular intervals. When a synchronization signal is detected here, the power supply of the radio reception unit is turned on (11), and the operation of receiving a call signal and message data is performed. If the calling signal does not match the own calling number, the synchronization signal detection operation 10 is repeated again. If the calling numbers match, the radio receiving section power is turned off (12). At this time, the notification operation is performed, but during the notification operation, this wireless power supply
By continuing the F state 12 '4@, there is no unnecessary ON state of the radio receiving unit, and battery saving becomes possible. When the called recipient uses the switch 5 to stop the notification, the wireless power supply section OFF state is canceled and the synchronization signal detection operation 10 is restarted.
