(Prior Art) Conventionally, a rotary grinding wheel for grinding and polishing, in which short fence-shaped abrasive coated paper is radially bonded to one side of a circular substrate made of plastic or a grinding wheel, is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 1983-1999.
It is publicly known from Publication No. 94271. Conventional general grindstones, including this type of grindstone, have been fixed to the drive shaft of a grinder with screws. For more information,
A threaded shaft is provided at the tip of the drive shaft, and after a collar and a rotating grindstone are inserted into this threaded shaft in order, the rotating grindstone is attached by screwing a nut onto the threaded shaft. Therefore, when replacing the grindstone, it was necessary to tighten and loosen the nut using a tool attached to the grinder.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) This invention is a rotary grindstone in which a large number of coated abrasive papers are adhesively fixed to a substrate, and the nut body as described above is integrated with the substrate to connect the grindstone to the grinder drive shaft. This is intended to solve the following problems in simplifying the attachment/detachment operation.

If the structure is such that the nut body is caulked and fixed to the board, it is difficult to obtain sufficient caulking strength due to insufficient mechanical strength of the board, especially when the board is made of a plastic molded product. There was a limit to the amount of torque transmitted. Further, even when the substrate is made of a grindstone, torque must be transmitted only by the frictional force of the clamping surfaces due to caulking, and there is a disadvantage that the rotary grindstone can only be applied to grinders with a relatively small drive torque.

In addition, when the nut body is constructed to be caulked, it is necessary to carefully process the caulked portion so that it does not protrude from the mounting surface 34 of the grindstone, and the machining is troublesome. If the caulked portion protrudes from the mounting surface 34, the grindstone 32 cannot be fixed in a normal position, and the rotating surface is tilted during use, resulting in irregular rotation, resulting in uneven grinding and vibration.

(Means for solving the problem) Therefore, in this invention, the nut body 5 and the substrate 2
are mechanically engaged and connected at the joint surfaces 18 of both 2 and 5, and torque is transmitted through this engagement structure. Further, an adhesive layer 11 for fixing the coated abrasive paper 3 is continuously formed over the bonding surface 18, and the nut body 5 is adhesively fixed to the substrate 2 via this adhesive layer 11. In addition, the coated abrasive paper 3 is positioned at the peripheral edge of the nut body 5.

Specifically, as shown in FIG. 1, for example, it has a mounting hole 4 in the center, and the mounting hole 4 portion is offset in the plate thickness direction with respect to its outer peripheral portion, and this offset forms an offset recess 7A. The circular substrate 2 and the offset recess 7A of the substrate 2
The peripheral edge portion 14 is formed to close the entire area and protrude radially outward from the offset recess 7A, and is adhesively fixed to the offset recess 7A of the substrate 2 via the adhesive layer 11, and is driven through the mounting hole 4 to drive the grinder. A nut body 5 to which the shaft 23 is screwed, and an adhesive of the nut body 5 with an inner peripheral end positioned on the peripheral edge 14 of the nut body 5 at an outer peripheral portion of the nut body 5 on one side of the substrate 2. It includes a layer 11 and a large number of coated abrasive papers 3 which are bonded radially through an adhesive layer 11 provided in series with each other in a state where they are partially overlapped. It is assumed that a pin-shaped protrusion 20 is formed on one side of the joint surface 18 between the offset recess 7A of the substrate 2 and the nut body 5, and a recess 21 into which the protrusion 20 is tightly fitted is formed on the other side.

(Function) Accordingly, in this invention, in the fixed state, the nut body 5 is adhesively fixed to the substrate 2 with the protrusion 20 and the recess 21 tightly fitted. That is, the adhesive layer 11 connects the nut body 5 to the substrate 2.
On the other hand, the torque transmission from the nut body 5 to the base plate 2 is mainly performed by the mechanical engagement structure between the protrusion 20 and the recess 21, so that the function can be differentiated. Therefore, even when the drive torque of the substrate 2 is large, it is possible to reliably transmit the torque, and the nut body 5 can be fixed by adhesive bonding, which is easy to process. Furthermore, since the inner peripheral end of the coated abrasive paper 3 can be positioned by the peripheral edge 14 of the nut body 5 and the coated abrasive paper 3 can be bonded, the coated abrasive paper 3 can also be easily fixed.

In FIG. 2, the connecting means 19 includes pin-shaped protrusions 20 protruding from four locations around the short boss 12 of the nut body 5, and formed on the inner surface of the end wall 8 in correspondence with the protrusions 20. It consists of four recesses 21. Then, by adhesively fixing the nut body 5 to the substrate 2 with the protrusion 20 tightly fitted into the recess 21, the driving torque is transmitted from the nut body 5 to the substrate 2 via the connecting means 19. Note that the opening edge of the recess 21 is reinforced by being constituted by a passage 9e extending through the flange 9b of the base 9.

In FIG. 3, a screw shaft 24 is provided protruding from the lower part of the drive shaft 23 of the grinder. After inserting the collar 25 into the screw shaft 24, the nut body 5 is screwed into the screw shaft 24 with the end wall 8 facing the collar 25. At this time, when the substrate 2 is grasped by hand and twisted, the nut body 5 is firmly screwed into the screw shaft 24, so that the rotary grinding and polishing tool 1 can be attached to the drive shaft 23 without using a fastening tool. I can do it. The relationship between the rotational direction of the drive shaft 23 and the spiral direction of the screw hole 13 and screw shaft 24 is as follows.
The nut body 5 is set so as to be screwed freely on the screw shaft 24 by the grinding reaction force that the substrate 2 receives during use.

Note that the rotary grinding and polishing tool 1 can be attached and detached by operating the operating hole 15 with a tightening/loosening tool, but this attachment/detachment operation is only recommended when the strength of screwing the nut body 5 into the threaded shaft 24 is extremely high. Usually, the board 2 can be attached and detached by directly twisting it by hand.

Furthermore, the protrusions 20 and the recesses 21 may be formed at locations other than the end wall 8, for example, on the inclined wall between the end wall 8 and the grinding portion 6. In this case, the recess 21 may be made into a through hole, and especially when the substrate 2 is made of a plastic molded product, the protrusion 20 may be made to protrude from the recess 21 to the outside.
It is also possible to melt the protruding end to prevent it from coming off.

(Effect of the invention) As explained above, according to the rotary grinding and polishing tool of the invention, the pin-shaped protrusion 20 provided on the joint surface 18 of the nut body 5 and the substrate 2 is tightly fitted with the protrusion 20. Since the driving torque is mainly transmitted from the nut body 5 to the substrate 2 through the mechanical engagement structure with the recess 21, the substrate 2 can be rotationally driven with a large driving torque. This makes it possible to increase the drive rotational speed of the grinder or to efficiently perform grinding or polishing operations using a large-diameter rotary grinding and polishing tool. In addition, since the functions are differentiated so that torque is mainly transmitted between the protrusion 20 and the recess 21, the fixing strength of the nut body 5 to the base plate 2 can be set to such a level that it will not easily fall off, making it easy to process. The nut body 5 can be fixed by proper adhesion. In addition, an adhesive layer 11 for fixing the coated abrasive paper 3 is continuously formed on the joint surface 18, and the nut body 5 is fixed with the adhesive and the coated abrasive paper 3 is positioned with the nut body 5. Therefore, the substrate 2, coated abrasive paper 3, and nut body 5 can be assembled easily and rationally, and the manufacturing cost of the rotary grinding tool can be reduced as a whole. Furthermore, there is no problem in the mounting position of the grindstone due to the caulked portion protruding from the mounting surface of the grindstone as in the conventional case.

Furthermore, by configuring the nut body 5 in a shape that completely closes the offset recess 7A, the nut body 5
Since the adhesive area on the substrate 2 can be increased,
This is advantageous in improving adhesive strength, and since the nut body 5 functions as a reinforcing body for the substrate 2, it is particularly advantageous when the substrate 2 is made of a plastic molded product.
