Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate adverse effect due to bacteria propagated by a humidifying function by integrating an air cleaner and a humidifier and also providing a sterilizing means of water for humidification wherein one part of clean air passed through the air cleaner is introduced into water for humidification of the humidifier. CONSTITUTION:Corona discharge is caused toward counter electrode plates 13 from discharge electrodes 12 by impressing DC high voltage between the discharge electrodes 12 and the counter electrode plates 13 in an ionizer part 10 of an electrostatic precipitation means 7. Thereby fine particles such as dust are charged and collected on the electrode plates 14 of a collector part 11 in the rear flow side. Further, ozone is contained in the cleaned air by passing this cleaned air through the electrostatic precipitation means 7. One part of the clean air contg. ozone is introduced into water for humidification stored in a water tank 16 of a humidifier 4 by a fan 18 of a sterilizing means 5 of water for humidification and blown out thereinto. The water for humidification of the humidifier 4 is supplied to the water tank 16 from a tank 15. The water for humidification stored in the water tank 16 is violently vibrated by an ultrasonic wave oscillator 17 and splashed from the surface of water as the misty fine particles.

Additionally, a humidifier is used to moderately humidify a room. This humidifier introduces a portion of the water stored in the water tank into the water tank, vibrates it violently using an ultrasonic oscillator installed in the tank, and disperses fine particles from the ice surface into the air as mist. It humidifies the air.

(The problem to be solved by the invention) By the way, the humidifying water stored in the water storage tank of the humidifier described above is often left as is for a long period of time, and as a result, bacteria breed in the water and the humidifying operation is interrupted. There was a risk that this bacteria would be scattered indoors by the mist and would not have any negative effect on the people who inhaled it.

Further, since the above-mentioned electrostatic precipitator type air purifying device and humidifying device were each used separately as needed, the number of their power cords increased and became a nuisance. In particular, humidifying devices are often used in the winter when the air is dry, and it is troublesome to take them in and out when using them.

Air purifier 3 removes air containing unpleasant particles such as dust.
The dust is sucked in through the suction port 6 and is purified by passing through the electrostatic precipitator 7. That is, the discharge of the ionizer tlNo of the electric precipitator 1,000 Pi7 @ the electric scraper 12 and the counter electrode plate 13
By applying a DC high voltage between them, corona discharge occurs from the discharge ttl 12 toward the counter electrode plate 13. As a result, fine particles such as dust contained in the air are electrically charged and collected on the Ti plate 14 of the collector section 11 on the downstream side.

This is due to the corona discharge that occurs in the ionizer section 10 when charging the fine particles, and it is said that the amount of ozone generated is proportional to the amount of DC high voltage crosstalk. This ozone has a bactericidal effect, as has been conventionally used for water purification.
