Therefore, when inserting a new metal uranium rod, the atomic beam will be disturbed and the atomic density in the atomic beam will temporarily decrease, which will reduce the performance of the uranium enrichment equipment using the laser method, and cause the uranium atoms to scatter and be produced. There were problems such as uneven enrichment of enriched uranium.

This is due to scattering, a time delay until evaporation starts from a new evaporation surface, a change in the shape of the atomic beam due to a change in the height of the old evaporation surface and the new evaporation surface, and a shift in the electron beam irradiation position.

is evaporated by the electron beam 2 and forms an atomic beam 6. As the evaporation surface descends due to the evaporation of metallic uranium, the change in the evaporation surface can be measured using an evaporation surface meter 16.
and inputs the signal to the control device 17, which controls the uranium metal supply device 18 to keep the evaporation surface within a predetermined range. Therefore,
The evaporation surface of metallic uranium 5 is always constant.

In this third embodiment, metallic uranium 5 can be supplied from the outside of the separation cell 15, and the metallic uranium supply device 18 is arranged outside the separation cell 15, and the metallic uranium 5 is introduced into the separation cell 15. A preliminary vacuum chamber 30 is provided in the portion where the separation cell 15 is separated, and the structure is such that the degree of vacuum in the separation cell 15 can be ensured by the vacuum seal 20. The preliminary vacuum chamber 20 and the separation cell 15 are constantly evacuated by a vacuum pump 21, thereby maintaining the separation cell 15 at a predetermined degree of vacuum.
