Optical fire detectors such as dimming type smoke detectors and radiation type detectors have optical systems such as a light projector and a light receiver for fire detection. In such optical fire detectors, if the transparent body such as the lens or glass of the optical system is contaminated by dust, the amount of light that passes through the transparent body will decrease, resulting in false alarms or missing alarms. . For this reason, the optical system of optical fire detectors is inspected and cleaned during periodic inspections to prevent false alarms and missed alarms.

The optical fire detector according to this invention has the above-mentioned characteristic configuration, so that when the light receiving output of the light emitted from the projector by the receiver decreases due to contamination of the transparent body and falls below a predetermined value, the motor, etc. The driving device is operated to rotate the light-transmitting body and use a fixed wiping means such as a wiper or brush, or a movable wiping means such as a wiper or brush is operated, thereby removing any particles that have adhered to the surface of the light-transmitting body. Since dust is removed, the optical system can be automatically cleaned when it becomes contaminated without having to set up scaffolding or restrict traffic. It is something.
