Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify focusing of a picture by providing a means advancing an index member for focusing into a projection optical path in a way of making the member closely adhere to a film original to the projector. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of focus adjustment, a turning level set in the state of 2-dashed chain lines is turned counter clockwise, and a holder 22 is moved in a direction (a) while a lower face of a tip 22b is in slide contact with an index projection 23 because its shaft 22a is pressed onto a U-shaped section 25b of the lever 25. Furthermore, when the holder 22 is progressed into the direction (a) further, a lower projection 22c of the holder 22 strikes on the index projection 23. In this case, since one end 24a of a slot 24 of a case is formed wider than the other part, the shaft 22a of the holder 22 is detached from the press contact state with the U shaped part 25b of the lever 25, the holder 22 is turned clockwise around the index projection 23 by its self-weight till an index film 21 is press contact onto the film, the holder 22 reaches the state shown in solid lines thereby implementing focus adjustment. That is, the focusing state is obtained by a projection index on a Fresnel lens.

[Prior Art] Conventionally, a film projection device is shown in FIGS. 6 and 7.
It is configured as shown in . That is, in the film projection apparatus shown in FIG. 6, the light beam emitted from the projection light source 2, together with the light reflected by the reflecting mirror 1, passes through the condensing lenses 3 and 4 and irradiates the film F in the film holding member 5. It is configured such that a light image from the film F is projected onto a document table glass 9 of an image reading device via a projection lens 6 and a Fresnel lens 8. When adjusting the focus in this device, the user of the device turns the focus adjustment knob 11 while viewing the projected image to move the lens barrel 7 holding the projection lens 6 up and down via the intermediate gear 10 until a predetermined focus is achieved. This is to obtain a focused state. FIG. 7 shows this in a perspective view.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, with the above-mentioned conventional device, it is difficult for the device user to adjust the focus, and if the image is read with insufficient focus, it may result in a so-called out-of-focus image. There were drawbacks. In other words, in order to obtain good image quality, it is necessary for the user of the device to turn the focus adjustment knob 11 while visually checking the projected image on the Fresnel lens 8, as shown in FIG. 7, to bring it into good focus as appropriate. However, if there is a high-contrast area in the projected image, such as an appropriate image edge area, which can be used as a criterion for determining whether the image is in-focus or out-of-focus, a reliable in-focus state can be obtained relatively easily. In the case where there are few suitable edge portions in the opposite projected image, depending on the skill level of the user of the device, the device may be out of focus and good image quality may not be obtained.

Furthermore, even if there are appropriate image edges (high contrast areas) in the projected image, when projecting a negative film original, the image is inverted, so bright areas in the actual image become dark in the projected image. Therefore, the focus adjustment work is much more difficult than with positive film originals, and the probability of not being able to obtain good image quality is further increased.

Furthermore, by providing means for bringing the index member into contact with the film document surface from a direction substantially perpendicular to the film document surface at least when the index member is about to contact the film document surface, the sliding effect when the index member and the film document surface come into contact is reduced. This facilitates the determination of the in-focus state while preventing scratches and scratches on the film original.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 21 denotes an index film, which is attached to a holder 22, and the holder 22 has a shaft 22a provided in the housing while being directed up and down by an indicating protrusion 23 on the housing. It is held by a U-shaped portion 25b at the tip of a rotary lever 25 which has a rotary shaft 25a engaged with a housing while being engaged with an elongated hole 24. The tip 22b and the index film 21 of the holder 22, which is in the state shown by the two-dot chain line in the figure, are retracted outside the projection optical path region shown by the two-dot chain line in the figure. When the focus adjustment operation is started, a mechanism (not shown) rotates the rotary lever 25, which is indicated by a two-dot chain line, counterclockwise in the figure. As a result, the holder 22
When the shaft 22a is pushed by the U-shaped portion 25b of the rotating lever 25, the lower surface of the tip 22b slides against the indicating protrusion 23 while moving in the direction a in the figure. When the holder 22 further advances in the direction a, the lower protrusion 22c of the holder 22 comes into contact with the indicator protrusion 23. Here, one end 24 of the elongated hole 24 of the housing
Since a is formed wider than other parts, the shaft 22a of the holder 22 is separated from the state of contact with the U-shaped portion 25b of the rotating lever 25, and the holder 22 uses its own weight to move the index film around the indicator protrusion 23 as a fulcrum. 21 rotates clockwise in the figure until it comes into contact with the film F, as shown by the solid line in the figure. Therefore, since the index film 21 comes into contact with the film F from approximately vertically above, the index film 21 at the time of contact
This makes it possible to prevent the film F from being rubbed. When the user of the device completes the focus adjustment work in this state, the rotating lever 25 is rotated clockwise in the figure by a mechanism not shown. With this, the tip U-shaped portion 25b of the rotating lever 25 comes into contact with the shaft 22a of the holder 22, and the rotating lever 25 also comes into contact with the shaft 22a of the holder 22.
5 rotates, the holder 22 rotates counterclockwise in the figure so as to be pulled up using the indicator protrusion 23 as a fulcrum. This releases the contact state between the index film 21 and the film F, but at this time as well, the index film 21 moves vertically above the film F, so the index film 21 and the film F
can prevent rubbing. When the rotation lever 25 further rotates clockwise in the figure, the holder 2 moves in the direction b in the figure, and finally reaches the state shown by the two-dot chain line in the figure. As mentioned earlier, in this state, the tip 22b of the holder 22 and the index film 21 are retracted outside the projection optical path region shown by the two-dot chain line in the figure, so that the actual reading operation of the film projection image is possible. becomes.

As shown in FIGS. 2A to 2C, it is preferable that the index has a clear image edge so that it is easy to distinguish between in-focus and out-of-focus during the focus adjustment operation. FIG. 3 shows the situation when adjusting the focus using index (a) among these indicators. Here, the user of the apparatus, while visually checking the projection index 25 superimposed on the projection image projected onto the Fresnel lens 8, appropriately rotates the focus adjustment knob 11 to obtain a focused state.

FIG. 4 is a block diagram of main parts showing another embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the index film 31 held by a holder 32 which is pivoted in the housing about a shaft 32a is brought into contact with the lower surface of the film F by utilizing its elastic force during focus adjustment. Since the image on the film F is formed on the top surface of the film F, in this case, the index position is shifted from the actual film image by the thickness of the film F (usually about 0.1 mm).
If the depth of field of the projection lens 6 of the film projection device is equal to or greater than the thickness of the film F, the focused state of the projected image of the index and the focused state of the projected image of the film original can be considered to be practically equivalent, so that the projected image of the film original There is no problem in adjusting the focus by looking at the projected image of the index instead of adjusting the focus by looking at the image.

Further, in this embodiment, when reading an image, the holder 32 is rotated in the direction d about 32a in the figure by a mechanism not shown, and is retracted out of the projection optical path as shown by the two-dot chain line in the figure. In this embodiment as well, the index film 31 comes into contact with and separates from the film F from almost vertically below.
Abrasion between the film F and the index film 31 is kept to a minimum.

FIG. 5 is a block diagram showing a main part of still another embodiment. In this embodiment, unlike the previous two embodiments, the holder 42 holding the index film 41 is attached not to the film projection apparatus main body but to the film holding member 5 which is detachably set in the film projection apparatus main body. ing. That is, the holder 42 has a shaft 42a at one end thereof.
The bearing portion 5 of the film holding member 5 is pivotable about the

As explained above, in the present invention, in a film projection device having a focus adjustment mechanism and projecting a film original onto an image reading device, the index member for focusing is brought into close contact with the film original. Since it is equipped with a means to enter the projection optical path, it can be used for film originals that have few clear image edges and are difficult to adjust the focus.
Since the image is inverted, it is possible to judge the in-focus state and adjust the focus while looking at the projection index, which has a clear image structure, even for negative film originals that are dark overall and have unclear contrast. Therefore, there is an effect that good image quality without blurring can be obtained regardless of the degree of skill in the focus adjustment work.

Further, since a means is provided for bringing the index member into contact with the film document surface from a substantially perpendicular direction, at least when the index member is about to contact the film document surface, the index member is brought into contact with the film document surface in a substantially perpendicular direction. It also has the effect that the in-focus state can be easily determined while preventing rubbing and scratches caused by the contact of the index member with the film document.
