A level crossing warning system is a device that warns people passing by a level crossing that a train is approaching and warns them to stop passing. As shown in Figure 4, a level crossing warning system uses a warning bell (or warning sound generator).
1. X mark warning sign 2. Flashing red warning light 3.
It consists of a train direction indicator 4 and a steel pipe column 5 that supports these.

However, conventionally, 24V20W white light bulbs have been mainly used as lighting equipment for lighting displays, and their power consumption cannot be ignored, and their lifespans end in a relatively short period of time, and they can break due to unforeseen circumstances. Therefore, its maintenance and management required a troublesome effort. For example, light bulbs are required to be replaced at regular intervals, such as once every two years, even if they are not broken. On the other hand, a sturdy structure is used as a lamp house for outdoor use or because it is necessary to prevent the effects of vibration, which has the disadvantage of increased weight.

In order to overcome this drawback, attempts have been made to use light emitting diodes as lighting devices.

By using small light-emitting diodes (hereinafter referred to as LEDs) in the lighting fixtures, they are free from breakage due to vibrations, are small, lightweight, have low power consumption, and are easy to maintain. However, simply replacing white light bulbs with multiple LEDs does not provide enough light, and since the display is flat, there is a problem that visibility from the front cannot be achieved. cannot necessarily make full use of the features of LEDs.

In this case, a board with a set of light emitting diodes with different brightness in the central area and the peripheral area facing the lens is placed inside a case whose front side is covered with a diffuser lens to form a storage space for the light emitting diodes. This is a warning light in a railroad crossing warning system, characterized in that a reflective surface is attached to the inner circumferential surface of the body of the case, and the case is removably attached to the lamp body of the warning light.

In FIGS. 1 and 2, a board 8 has an LED 7 mounted inside a circular hollow case 6 with an open front.
Store and install. Although the arrangement of the LEDs 7 mounted on the board 8 is not particularly limited, the case 6
Evenly and densely arranged horizontally and vertically or concentrically throughout the interior. Each LED 7 is connected in series or in series and parallel to the power supply wiring, but a set of LED 7 is connected to the central area,
Separate LEDs in each area concentrically with the surrounding area, and set 7 sets of red-emitting regular LEDs (for example, 200mcd) for the peripheral area, and use red-emitting high-intensity LEDs in the central area. (e.g. 500mcd)

On the other hand, the case 6 that houses the board 8 on which the set of LEDs 7 and 7a is mounted has a reflective surface 9, preferably a mirror surface, on the inner peripheral surface of the body that forms the storage space for the LEDs. A transparent diffuser lens 1 is attached to the opening edge of the case 6.

The indicator of this proposal is installed on the steel pipe pillar 5 of the level crossing alarm shown in Figure 4, and both warning lights 3, 3 are flashed when an up train or down train enters the warning starting point based on the command from the control device. This is the same as a conventional warning light.

That is, along with the direct light emitted in front of the LEDs 7 and 7a by lighting them, the reflected light reflected by the reflective surface 9 is displayed through the lens 10.

In particular, the central region emits light with high brightness, so it is clearly displayed with a three-dimensional feeling. Alternatively, a three-dimensional sensation can be created by using high-brightness light emitting diodes in the peripheral area. Although a transparent lens is used in the embodiment, display may be performed using a colored lens in combination with a light emitting diode that emits light in any color.

As described above, according to the present invention, a reflective surface was provided on the inner circumferential surface of the body of the case to effectively utilize the reflected light from the LEDs, and high-brightness LEDs were used in the center area, which compensated for the lack of light at the periphery and It emits high-intensity light, giving the same three-dimensional sensation as when using a white light bulb, and improving visibility for people passing through the railroad crossing.
