Abstract

PURPOSE:To know easily the fact that a developer supply container becomes removable by displacing the container automatically from a supply position by an elastic means when a lock means is released. CONSTITUTION:Under a condition of being set in a supply position, a supply container 3 receives elastic energizing force in the turning/ascending direction from the supply position by means of an elastic member 8 with a container projection part 3b inserted into a recess part 14 as its turning falcrum. However, so far as lock members 7 are locking the supply container 3 while locking projections 33, the turning/ascending motion is blocked. In this case, when an opening/closing cap 2 is pushed inside, the surface of the opening/closing cap 2 pushes claw parts of the lock members 7, and the lock members 7 are put in turning motion against the elastic member, and engagement between the claw parts and the projections 33 of the developer supply container 3 is disengaged. At the same time, the developer supply container 3 is put in turning/ ascending motion automatically from a developer receiving position of a developer receiving container 1 by means of elastic force of the elastic member 8. Release of lock can be ascertained by this displacement.

An example of such a technique is described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 1-36943, in which a locking member provided at the opening of a developer receiving container is moved to a locked position in conjunction with the opening operation of an opening/closing lid. A biasing technique has been disclosed, but according to this technique, it is impossible to know whether the lock has been released unless the operator tries to remove the developer replenishment container. The disadvantages are that the device may be damaged when attempting to remove it, and the developer may scatter and contaminate the surrounding area.

As shown in FIG. 9(a), the developer replenishment container 1
When the locking member 7 is not attached, the locking member 7, which is provided at the 101 part of the receiving container 1 and is biased counterclockwise in the figure by the elastic member (plate spring) 9, engages the slit 24 of the opening/closing lid 2 at the claw part 71. , and prohibits sliding opening and closing of the opening/closing lid 2. When the developer replenishment container 3 is attached to this, it is pushed by the protrusion 33 of the developer replenishment container 3.
The locking member 7 resists the elastic member 9 and rotates about the rotation center 74 in the arrow direction (clockwise) shown in FIG. As shown in b), the developer replenishment container 3 is locked so that it cannot be removed. Further, when the locking member 7 rotates clockwise, the claw portion 71 also rotates at the same time, and the engagement between the claw portion 71 and the slit 24 of the opening/closing lid 2 is released in the locked state of the replenishment container 3 shown in FIG. 9(b). , the opening/closing lid 2 can be slid open and closed.

In the above embodiment, in a developer replenishing device equipped with an opening for replenishing developer and a developer receiving container having a sliding lid that covers the opening, a container body that accommodates a developer; a sealing sheet that is removably fixed to the periphery of the opening of the container body; and a sheet pull-out member that is fixed to an end of the sheet and removably attached to the container body. , the opening/closing lid has an engaging portion, and the engaging portion is connected to an engaged portion provided on the sheet drawer member just before the opening operation of the opening/closing lid ends. A developer replenishment device that engages with the developer replenishment container and pulls out the sheet pull-out member from the developer replenishment container at the end of the opening operation of the opening/closing lid, and a developer replenishment container that is removably set in the replenishment device. However, by such a means, the part that becomes the handle that pulls out the seal of the developer replenishment container engages with the lid of the receiving container just before the lid is opened, and separates from the replenishment container as the lid moves to open. Therefore, when the operator tears off the sheet and replenishes the developer into the receiving container, the opening/closing lid of this receiving container is already open, so the tip or top of the opening/closing lid is not exposed to the developer. This prevents developer from scattering and leaking.

Further, in the above embodiment, in a developer replenishing device equipped with an opening for replenishing developer and a developer receiving container having a slide-type opening/closing lid A that covers the opening, A developer replenishment container having a developer replenishment container having a container body that accommodates the developer and a slide-type opening/closing lid B that covers the opening of the container body is removable, and the developer receiving container is biased by an elastic member. When the developer replenishment container is attached to the developer receiving container, the lock member 1 and a part of the developer replenishment container body are engaged, and the developer replenishment container cannot be removed. At the same time, the lock member 2, which engages with the sliding lid A and prohibits the opening and closing of the lid A, is disengaged by a part of the developer replenishment container body, and the lid A is opened and closed. By further pushing the opening/closing lid A from the closed state to the unlocked position, the engagement between the locking member 1 and the developer replenishment container main body is released, and the developer replenishment container can be removed. a developer replenishment device, and
Since the developer replenishment container is removably set in the developer replenishment container, the lock is applied when the developer replenishment container is attached to the developer receiving container, and the developer replenishment container cannot be removed. It can only be released by pushing the opening/closing lid A from the closed state to the unlocked position, so only when the opening/closing lid is securely closed.
The developer replenishment container can be removed. Therefore, the developer replenishment container does not come off when the lid is half open and the developer does not contaminate the surrounding area.

By the way, as shown in FIGS. 1, 10 and 11, the developer replenishment container 3 is provided with a protrusion 34. This protrusion 34 is inserted into the notch of the receiving container 1 during the step of placing the replenishment container 3 on the receiving container 1, pressing it from above, and locking the protruding portion 33 with the lock 7 (FIG. 11(a)). The elastic member (plate spring) 8 provided at the location 102 is pushed downward to elastically deform it as shown in FIG. 11(b). Therefore, when the replenishment container 3 is set at the replenishment position for receiving developer and replenishing the developer into the container 1, the elastic member 8 pushes the container protrusion 3b inserted into the recess 14. It serves as a rotational fulcrum and receives an elastic biasing force in the direction of rotation and upward movement from the replenishment position. However, as long as the locking member 7 engages the protrusion 33 and locks the replenishment container 3, the above rotational upward movement is prevented.
