[0003] For this reason, various ornaments have been proposed that have the same external appearance as those made of only noble metal and can be manufactured at low cost. For example, there are products that have a core material made of inexpensive metal and a thin coat of precious metal formed on its surface by methods such as precious metal plating or thin precious metal coating, and products that have an outer mold made of a thin precious metal and are hollow inside. .

[Problem to be Solved by the Invention] However, the film formed by plating is usually as thin as about 10 μm, and even if it becomes scratched after being used for a certain period of time, it cannot be polished. Another problem was that the noble metal coating gradually peeled off due to friction and the like. In order to solve this problem, it is conceivable to increase the thickness of the coating, but for example, plating to a thickness of 100 μm or more takes a very long time and increases manufacturing costs.

[0012] In the decorative tool of the present invention, a noble metal coating having a thickness of 100 μm or more is formed so as to cover the surface of a metal core material having a predetermined shape. The predetermined shape is the shape that corresponds to the intended decorative item, such as a ring, pendant, brooch, belt buckle, tie pin, etc., and the size of the core material is determined based on the size of the intended decorative item. Form the size by subtracting the thickness. In addition, it is preferable to use a metal such as stainless steel or brass as the core material, which has a specific gravity close to that of the precious metal that forms the coating, because the weight after forming the precious metal coating will be similar to that of a product made of only precious metal. .

[0013] A noble metal coating having a thickness of 100 μm or more is formed on this core material by casting. As the noble metal forming the film, gold, platinum, palladium, etc. are preferably used. If the thickness of the precious metal coating is 100 μm or more, the precious metal coating will hardly peel off due to friction even after long-term use, and the shine characteristic of precious metals will decrease due to minute scratches after using it for a certain period of time. In some cases, the surface can be polished and regenerated. Note that the thickness of the coating is more preferably 200 μm or more.

First, two or more holes are formed on the surface of a metal core material having a predetermined shape. This hole is formed to insert a precious metal pin so that the core material is supported in the internal space of the plaster mold through the pin, so the position and depth of the hole are determined. It is preferable that the number of holes be set appropriately in consideration of this fact.

Next, a noble metal pin is inserted into the hole of the core material formed, and wax is applied to the surface of the core material to a thickness of 100 μm.
Cover with m or more. The precious metal pin is made of the same material as the precious metal to be coated, and has a length sufficient to support the core material in the plaster mold, including the part inserted into the hole and the thickness of the solder. It is preferable that the length is the sum of . Note that the shape of the pin is not necessarily limited to a rod-like shape, and various shapes can be adopted as long as the pin can support the core material in the plaster mold.

The core material can be coated with wax by dipping, or by inserting a pin into the core material and placing it in a resin mold having an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the core material.
A preferred method is to cover the surface of the core material with wax by pouring the wax into the gap between the core material and the resin mold. In this case, the resin material for the resin mold has fluidity at the time of molding, can be hardened after molding, does not change its dimensions by hardening, and has a certain degree of hardness. A material that can maintain dimensional accuracy on the order of μm is used.

Next, a precious metal of the same material as the pin is poured in a molten state into the inner space of this plaster mold, and is cooled and solidified. The core material is supported in the internal space of the plaster mold through a gap of 100 μm or more, which corresponds to the thickness of the wax, so the precious metal flows into this gap and forms a 100 μm or more thick layer on the surface of the core material.
A noble metal coating with a diameter of μm or more is formed.

[0024] Since a thick precious metal coating with a thickness of 100 μm or more is formed to cover the surface of the metal core material having a predetermined shape, the precious metal coating will not peel off due to friction even after long-term use. It is almost impossible to put it away, and if it becomes slightly scratched and loses its characteristic shine due to precious metals after being used for a certain period of time, the surface can be polished and regenerated. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture at a low cost an item that has the same appearance as a decorative item made from a single noble metal and has almost the same durability as a decorative item made from a single noble metal.

Furthermore, since the pins for supporting the core material in the internal space of the plaster mold are made of the same material as the precious metal covering the surface, when the surface of the decorative tool is finally polished,
Just by removing the protruding parts of the pins, a uniform precious metal coating can be obtained.

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, according to the present invention,
A thick noble metal coating can be formed on the surface of a core material made of metal. Therefore, the decorative tool of the present invention has an appearance that is the same as one made from only precious metals, a feeling of weight similar to one made from only precious metals, and the precious metal coating does not peel off even after long-term use. If there are any minute scratches on the surface after using it for a certain period of time, it can be polished. In addition, since the core material is made of an inexpensive metal, it can be manufactured at a much lower cost than a core material made of only noble metal. Furthermore, since this noble metal coating is formed by casting, a thick noble metal coating can be easily formed even on a three-dimensionally complex shape.
