2. Description of the Related Art Arterial road intersections in commercial areas are characterized by a large number of pedestrians as well as vehicles. At these intersections, ■ illegal parking is constant, and when traffic volume increases, pedestrians have to weave between parked vehicles to reach the opposite sidewalk even if they use the crosswalks set up on the roadway. However, it takes time to cross the road, which is a cause of pedestrian accidents. Additionally, ■Vehicle drivers are nervous about illegally parked vehicles and pedestrians ignoring traffic lights. Additionally, store personnel are plagued by vehicle exhaust fumes exacerbated by traffic congestion, and find it difficult to secure private garages. Conventionally, pedestrian crossing bridges in which four corners are connected diagonally or in an H-shape are known as intersection structures that solve the problems (1) and (2) above. This pedestrian bridge has a bridge girder with a space of 4.5 m from the road surface to allow large vehicles to pass, and the crossroads on the bridge girder and the surface walkway are connected by straight or spiral stairs. There is.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in conventional intersection structures, the bridge girder is located at a high position, making it difficult for not only vulnerable road users such as the elderly and those with young children, but also ordinary pedestrians to climb up and down the stairs. It was cumbersome and difficult to use. In addition, it is not easy to move between stores facing each other across the road, and especially when the direction of the stairs is different from the direction of the destination, there is a problem that even if you use the stairs, you will have to take a long detour. Additionally, light vehicles such as bicycles and baby carriages cannot use the sidewalks, so a Zebra Zone crosswalk had to be installed. Furthermore, the streetscape of the intersection is spoiled by the high pedestrian bridge, and stores facing the pedestrian bridge are affected by the pedestrian bridge and have a poor ability to attract customers.Furthermore, there is not enough parking capacity for visitors, making it difficult to revitalize commerce. There was a problem in which it was not possible to

Since the underground roads 11c and 12c form the lowest part of the periphery, rainwater flows in during rain. For this purpose, a small drainage pump (not shown) is installed near the roadway 11c or 12c to pump up the water stored in these side ditches. A thick layer of crushed stone 11d is provided under the pavement of the roadways 11c and 12c and under the pavement of the underground parking lot 25a, and a perforated fume pipe 11e is installed between the crushed stone layer 11d.
A large number of pipes are installed parallel to 2 (Figure 2). This fume pipe 11e communicates with the side ditch of the roadway 11c, and guides rainwater there during normal rainfall. By installing the Hume pipe 11e, rainwater permeates into the ground through the hole of the Hume pipe 11e, recharges the groundwater, and at the same time suppresses the amount of rainwater flowing into the river, making it unnecessary to operate the drainage pump except during times of heavy rain. You will be able to get away with it. Surface sidewalks 15a and 16a are adjacent to both sides of the surface roadway 11a, and surface sidewalks 17a and 18a are adjacent to both sides of the surface roadway 12a. Uphill roads 15b, 16b, 17b, and 18b continue from point A, which is about 100 meters away from the intersection, toward the intersection, respectively, on these ground sidewalks 15a, 16a, 17a, and 18a. In this example, the ascending slopes 15b to 18b are roads each having a gradient of 1/10, and rise by 2.5 m after traveling 25 m. In addition, the ascending slopes 15b to 18b are slopes with no unevenness, and in order to enable entry and exit from the buildings facing them, the lowest part of the ascending slopes 15b to 18b is the surface walkway 15a to 18a.
It has a width of about half of that of 1, and is provided on the surface roadway 11a and 12a side. Above-ground sidewalks 15c to 18c are connected to and laid at the top of the ascending slope roads 15b to 18b, respectively, and these sidewalks 15c to 18c are constructed integrally with a plaza 19 on the same level as these that covers the upper part of the underground intersection 13. be done. The plaza 19 including the above ground walkways 15c to 18c is 2 from the ground surface.
.. It will be located 5m higher and 5.0m higher than the underground crossing 13.

[0009] Nobosakaji 15b to 18b and ground walkway 15c to
18c and plaza 19 are symmetrical arch steel members 20 (Figure 2)
It is constructed integrally. That is, the arch steel members 20 are arranged along the ascending slope and the above-ground walkway in the shape of a parallel cross when viewed from above. One end of the arch steel member 20 is fixed to a connection point A between the surface roadway 11a and the downhill road 11b, and the other end is fixed to a connection point A between another surface roadway 11a and the downhill road 11b. Other arch steel members 20 are also fixed in the same manner. The plaza 19 is formed by laying iron plates on cross beams (not shown) installed between the steel members 20. The plaza 19 is not supported by steel columns or is supported by a few steel columns to make the underground crossing 13 spacious. This makes it possible to expand the width of the underground roads 11c and 12c or to install a parking zone in the underground intersection 13, thereby improving the visibility of the underground intersection 13. An opening 19a facing the center of the underground intersection 13 is formed in the center of the plaza 19,
A large tree 21 is planted in the center of the underground crossing 13, protruding from the opening 19a. A crown of rich green leaves of a tree 21 is formed in the center of the plaza 19, and an opening 19a
Benches will be placed around the area, making Plaza 19 an attractive place to relax. Also, natural light comes to enter the underground intersection 13 through the opening 19a. As shown in FIG. 3, there are three concentric circles 22, 23,
24 is drawn with a white line, and the traffic guidance indicated by the arrow constitutes a rotary type unsignalized intersection. Since this intersection structure is an intersection with good visibility as described above, it is suitable for this rotary type unsignaled intersection. Although not shown, a transparent dome-shaped roof may be provided to integrally cover the ascending slopes 15b to 18b, the ground walkways 15c to 18c, and the plaza 19. Further, the ascending slopes 15b to 18b may be formed in the shape of steps. Further, instead of the arch steel material 20, an arch-shaped concrete material may be used.

[0011] In this intersection structure, pedestrians and cars each use their own roads, so drivers do not have to pay attention to pedestrians and can quickly pass through, thereby reducing traffic congestion on roads 11 and 12. This eliminates traffic accidents involving pedestrians at the underground intersection 13. At the same time, environmental deterioration factors such as exhaust gas and noise in the underground intersection 13 can be reduced. In particular, the above-ground walkway 15c
Since the height of ~18c has been reduced to half of the previous level, the scenery of the cityscape is improved, and not only pedestrians but also light vehicles such as bicycles and wheelchairs can easily pass through the Asuka Roads 15b to 18b and access the ground walkway or plaza 19. You can go to When using the store, pedestrians enter from the above-ground sidewalks 15c to 18c, and vehicle users enter from the underground parking lot 25a. Drivers can park in parking lot 25 on the same level as underground roads 11c and 12c.
You can easily enter and park your vehicle without a special slope. Since the second floor of each store is at the same height as the above-ground walkway,
Movement between stores can be done quickly through above-ground walkways and plazas, providing convenience for store users and greatly improving the ability to attract customers. The plaza is also used as a place for citizens to relax. As a result, many people can easily gather at the intersection of the present invention, activating commerce in the area.

Similarly to the embodiment described above, a large number of perforated fume pipes 11e are installed parallel to the road 12 between the crushed stone layers under the pavement of the roadways 11c, 12c and the first underground floors 26-29. When underground underground structures such as sewage pipes, water pipes, gas pipes, power cables, communication cables, etc. are laid on the main road, detour pipes are installed to surround the above-mentioned underground first floors 26 to 29 and tunnel passages 31 to 34. It is desirable to provide pipes 36, 37, 38, and 39 for piping and wiring of underground objects. 40 is the main body. This allows sewer pipes to be installed without changing the angle of inclination.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the intersection structure of the present invention, the sidewalk and roadway installed on the ground surface are divided into upper and lower sections toward the intersection. Each vehicle uses its own dedicated road, eliminating traffic congestion.
Exhaust gas and noise are reduced, and pedestrian accidents can be eliminated. Second, the height of the above-ground walkway, which corresponds to a conventional pedestrian bridge, is lowered, making it easier for vulnerable road users such as the elderly and young children to use, and improving the streetscape of the intersection. In addition, because the above-ground walkway connects to the plaza and forms a planar structure that covers the underground intersection, it is easy to come and go between stores facing each other across the intersection, making it more convenient for store users and greatly improving the ability to attract customers. It is possible to revitalize commerce in the area facing the intersection. Furthermore, since vehicles can be easily taken in and out of the underground parking lot provided under the store from the underground driveway, store personnel can easily carry in and take out products, and store visitors can easily carry out shopping.
