Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an image already fixed glossy, to improve transmitting ability and to eliminate the stickiness of a paper caused by the excessiveness of releasing agent in the case of an OHP sheet by changing the application amount of the releasing agent in accordance with the kind of a transcription material. CONSTITUTION:By changing the pressing angle of a blade 3d to an application roller 3c, the venter of the blade 3d is pressed to the roller 3c, so that the application amount of the releasing agent may be constant. The application amount of the releasing agent is changed in accordance with the kind of the transcription material by changing how to press the blade 3d to the roller 3c. Namely, in the case of the fixture of a plain paper, the venter of the blade 3d is pressed to the roller 3c, and when the releasing agent is reduced, just like in the case of the fixture of the OHP sheet or a label paper, the end of the blade 3d is pressed to the roller 3c. Thus, the application amount of the releasing agent in the case of the fixture of the OHP sheet and the label paper becomes an appropriate value.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In the conventional release agent applicator as described above, the amount of release agent applied is controlled to be a constant amount regardless of the type of transfer material. However, this fixed amount is an appropriate amount when fixing plain paper, but it cannot be said to be an appropriate amount when fixing special paper, and the amount applied may be increased or decreased. As a result, for example, when fixing an OHP sheet, the number of release agent layers increases, resulting in poor image transparency and a cloudy appearance; Because of this, the release agent will stand out on the surface of the transfer material,
A good image cannot be obtained.

In particular, in a color image forming apparatus, the toner layer has three or more layers of magenta, yellow, and cyan, and the toner needs to have good melting properties and color mixing properties when heat is applied. Therefore, it is preferable to use a sharp-melt toner having a low softening point and low melt viscosity. In order to ensure the life of the fixing roller, it is necessary to apply a large amount of a low-viscosity release agent. For this reason, the amount of mold release agent applied that differs from the appropriate value will clearly appear on the image.
Particularly in the case of OHP sheets, if the coating amount is too large, the transparency will be significantly reduced, so controlling the coating amount to an appropriate value will significantly improve the image quality.

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, by changing the amount of release agent applied depending on the type of transfer material, the amount of release agent applied when fixing OHP sheets and label paper can be adjusted to an appropriate value. In this case, the image becomes glossy after fixing,
The permeability is improved and the paper is no longer sticky due to too much release agent. Also, in the case of label paper, the release agent no longer floats on the surface of the transfer material after fixing, and the paper no longer becomes sticky due to the release agent. At the same time, by reducing the amount of release agent applied when fixing OHP sheets and label paper, there is an effect of saving release agent.
