産業上の利用分野 本考案は、室内の空気調和に用いるカセツト型
エアコンに関する。 従来の技術 近年、カセツト型エアコンは業務用から家庭用
まで幅広く使用されるようになり、諸性能の中で
特に静粛性が重視される傾向にある。 以下図面を参照しながら、上述した従来のカセ
ツト型エアコンの一例について説明する。 第5図,第6図は従来のカセツト型エアコンの
構造を示すものである。図において、1はカセツ
ト型エアコン主体であり、2は断熱構造の箱体で
ある。3は前記箱体2内の上部に配設した遠心式
送風機であり、モータ4、インペラ5、オリフイ
ス6より構成されている。7は遠心送風機3の周
囲に設けた熱交換器であり、ドレンパン8と箱体
2によりはさまれている。 9は前記箱体2の下部に設けた矩形の蓋体であ
り、その各辺部には吹出口10が設けてあり、中
央部には矩形で着脱式の吸込グリル11が設けて
ある。 以上のように構成されたカセツト型エアコンに
ついて、以下その動作を説明する。 まず、吸込グリル11より吸込まれた空気は、
オリフイス6を介してインペラ5内に導入され、
インペラ5の作用で動圧と静圧を付加されインペ
ラ5外へ吐出される。インペラ5から吐出された
空気は熱交換器7を通過する際に熱交換器7内の
冷媒と熱交換し、温度変化する。温度変化した空
気は箱体2内の風路を介して蓋体9の各辺部に設
けた吐出口10より室内へ吐出され空気調和す
る。 考案が解決しようとする問題点 しかしながら、上記のような構成では、遠心送
風機3の吸込部であるオリフイス6と蓋体9の吸
込グリル11との間には空気の流れをスムーズに
し通風抵抗を小さくするため遮蔽物がなく、遠心
送風機3内で発生した送風機騒音はオリフイス6
を経て、吸込グリル11から直接放射される。特
に前記送風機騒音の中で、インペラ5の翼枚数z
に回転数nを掛けた周波数で発生する回転騒音は
単一周波数の騒音成分で、他の乱流騒音成分に比
べ音圧レベルが高いため目立ちやすく、異常音と
して問題となることがあつた。 本考案は、上記問題点に鑑み、前記遠心送風機
で発生する騒音のうち、インペラの翼枚数に回転
数nを掛けた周波数に発生する回転騒音を、オリ
フイスと吸込グリルとの間の通風抵抗を増すこと
なく減音したカセツト型エアコンを提供するもの
である。 問題点を解決するための手段 上記問題点を解決するために、本考案のカセツ
ト型エアコンは、箱体内上部に遠心式送風機とそ
の周囲に熱交換器を配設し、前記箱体下面には矩
形の蓋体を設け、前記蓋体の辺部に吹出口を設
け、中央部には吸込口を設け、かつ前記遠心式送
風機と前記蓋体の吸込口との間にチヤンバを設
け、さらに前記チヤンバのコーナ部には開口部を
チヤンバに連通させた小室を設けるという構成を
備えたものである。 作 用 本考案は上記した構成によつて、遠心送風機の
オリフイスから吹込グリルに到る風路内にヘルム
ホルツ型消音器を構成することになり、このヘル
ムホルツ型消音器の作用で、遠心式送風機で発生
する翼枚数zに回転数nを掛けた周波数の回転騒
音を有効に減音する。この際、前記小室はチヤン
バのコーナ部に設けるため、オリフイスと吹込グ
リル間の流れには影響を及ぼすことなく減音効果
を発揮する。 実施例 以下、本考案の一実施例のカセツト型エアコン
について、図面を参照しながら説明する。尚、従
来例と同一部分については重複をさけるため、同
