The structure of a conventional indoor unit will be explained below with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 3, the conventional air conditioner 1 includes a heat exchanger 5 processed into a circular shape, a fan 6 for blowing air, and a fan inside a box-shaped underframe 3 having an opening toward the ceiling. A fan motor 7 for driving is provided. Further, there is a water tray 8 at the bottom of the heat exchanger 5, and this has a height up to the top surface of the underframe. Further, an air guide 9 for guiding the flow of intake air is provided below the water tray 8 and is connected to the underframe 3 via a plurality of supports 10. In the air conditioner configured as described above, the heat exchanger capacity is increased as a response to the capacity expansion of the indoor unit, but one way to do this is to increase the height of the heat exchanger 5 and The rotation speed of the fan motor 7 is increased to increase the heat exchanger capacity.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In such a conventional air conditioner, when the height of the heat exchanger 5 is increased in order to expand the capacity, the height of the underframe 3, water tray 8 and support column 10 is increased accordingly. It is necessary to increase the height, and when creating a series with the same appearance and capacity, there are few common parts, and many parts have to be made new, which increases the number of parts in the series and increases mold costs. In view of the above-mentioned problems, an object of the present invention is to divide the underframe to reduce the number of parts that need to be changed as the height of the heat exchanger increases, thereby making parts common and reducing mold costs.

In FIG. 1, 1 is an air conditioner embedded in the ceiling 2, and 4 is a decorative grille fixed below the air conditioner 1 and exposed on the surface of the ceiling 2. 3a and 3b are steel plate underframes that constitute the exterior of the air conditioner 1;
It is divided into two parts, which are united with screws 11 to form a box shape with an opening located at the bottom. The underframe 3b is fixed by screws 11 inserted into the inside of 3a. 5 in Figure 2
1 is a heat exchanger that exchanges heat between the indoor air and the refrigerant, 6 is a fan that blows air, 7 is a fan motor for driving the fan, 8 is a water tray that receives dehumidified water discharged from the heat exchanger, 9 10 is an air guider that sandwiches the underframe and the water tray and guides the sucked air, and 10 is a plurality of columns that connect the underframe and the air guider. Reference numeral 12 denotes a heat insulating material for cooling the underframe with the cold air after passing through the heat exchanger and preventing dew from forming.

The ceiling-embedded air conditioner constructed as described above will be explained. As mentioned above, increasing the height of the heat exchanger 5 is a method of increasing the capacity of the indoor unit, but since the underframe is divided into upper and lower parts 3a and 3b, the height of the heat exchanger is increased. Underframes 3a and 3b according to the close-up
In order to change the size of the overlapping margin 3c, the screw hole of the underframe 3b for tightening the screw 11 is changed from c to d, thereby making it possible to create a series using the same underframe. In addition, conventional water trays have a height that extends to the top of the frame in order to prevent dew from forming on the frame due to the cold air that has passed through the heat exchanger. By attaching it to the underframe, it provides insulation and prevents dew from forming on the underframe. The support column 10 is prepared with a length that matches the height of the heat exchanger in order to support heavy items such as a heat exchanger and a water tray. In this way, increasing the height of the heat exchanger can be done by simply changing the overlapping allowance of the underframe and changing the supports.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, by dividing the underframe into two parts, the present invention makes it possible to create a series of capacities while sharing all parts that require molds, and to develop the capacity into a series. The development cost and development schedule can be reduced.
