Abstract

PURPOSE:To make efficient treatment and to reduce the size of a device and to improve its performance by subjecting the contaminated air passed continuously into a gas flow passage means to an electrical treatment by an electric discharge and to a physical or chemical treatment by a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The gas flow passage means 1 which applies a specified flow passage to the air to be passed is formed and an electric discharge section 2 is disposed on an introducing section 1a side of the gas flow passage means 1. A filter-like catalyst section 3 is disposed on the discharge section 1b side. The primary air 4 introduced into the gas flow passage means 1 is subjected to a sterilizing and deodorizing treatment in the discharge section 2 to form the secondary air 5 in this way. The secondary air 5 contg. the residual odorous components is then subjected to a deodorizing and decomposing treatment in the catalyst section 3 and is discharged as the cleaned tertiary air.

[Prior art and its problems] Contaminated air containing microorganisms such as bacteria and malodorous components has been used in hospitals, food factories, and other facilities that require hygiene, and has been known to cause various problems such as nosocomial infections and food poisoning. Due to its negative effects, many treatment methods have been tried to clean this type of polluted air present in the indoor atmosphere.

[0003] As cleaning treatment methods, for example, heating and cooling, humidification and dehumidification, treatment using air filters, ultraviolet rays, Hepa filters, deodorizing agents, etc. are well known, but heating and cooling and humidification and dehumidification are mainly used for air conditioning. Those using air filters mainly remove fine dust and do not perform sterilization and deodorization processing, while ultraviolet rays and Hepa filters only perform sterilization and sterilization processing, and those using deodorizers only perform deodorization processing. Therefore, there has been no method for effectively performing sterilization and deodorization at the same time.

[0004]Also, methods have been studied and implemented in which ozone-containing air and contaminated air are brought into contact with each other by making use of the fact that ozone kills bacteria in the air and decomposes malodorous components. A relatively large contact tank is required to mix the air, and a high concentration of ozone is required to fully perform the sterilization process, so in practice, only a deodorizing effect can be expected and the equipment is There were problems such as the large size and long processing time.

A non-circulating gas flow path means 1 is formed in which only the gas flow path means 1 communicates with the outside, etc., and the introduction portion 1 of the gas flow path means 1 is formed.
Contaminated air containing bacteria, malodorous components, etc. from indoor A is introduced from room A through a, and passed through the discharge section 2 and catalyst section 3 in the gas flow path means 1, and is then purified as clean air from the discharge section 1b into indoor A or outdoors. Air can be supplied or exhausted to.

[Effects of the Invention] The present invention is constructed as described above, and
The contaminated air that was continuously passed through the gas passage means was sterilized and deodorized extremely efficiently by electrical treatment using electric discharge and physical or chemical treatment using a catalyst, so that it could not be treated with ozone-containing gas as in the past. Compared to methods such as mixing contaminated air with contaminated air in a contact tank, it is easier to downsize the device, and it also improves the deodorizing effect and achieves the sterilizing effect in a dramatically shorter contact time. This is a epoch-making and extremely significant invention.

Claim 1: Forming a gas passage means having an introduction part and a discharge part, disposing a discharge part on the introduction part side of the gas passage means, and disposing a filter-like catalyst on the discharge part side. At the same time, contaminated primary air is introduced from the introduction part, the primary air is passed to the discharge part, and is sterilized and deodorized by electric discharge to generate secondary air. The method is characterized in that while air is passed through the catalyst section, unreacted ozone and untreated odor components are deodorized and decomposed by the catalyst to generate purified tertiary air, and the tertiary air is discharged from the discharge section. A sterilization and deodorization method.
