However, with the former type of vinyl, the table surface can be seen through the transparent part of the pattern, and if the transparent part is dirty, the dirt will be visible and the cleanliness of the tablecloth will be significantly impaired. Sometimes. In addition, there are issues that it is said to be thin and lack elasticity. In addition, although the latter has some elasticity, it is not sufficient, and there are also problems in that it lacks a three-dimensional effect.

The underlay mat for tablecloths of the present invention constructed in this way is made by stacking foamed monofilaments in a random loop shape to a predetermined thickness, and then melting and bonding the contacting parts of these foamed monofilaments to each other to integrate them. As a result, it has the necessary and sufficient cushioning properties, provides a three-dimensional effect, and also hides the table surface, solving all of the problems associated with tablecloths as described above.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. What is shown in FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a tablecloth underlay mat M according to the present invention, in which foamed monofilament 1 made of soft PVC resin or ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is arranged in a random loop shape. The foamed monofilaments 1 are deposited to a predetermined thickness, and the contacting portions of these foamed monofilaments 1 are melted and bonded to each other to form a porous mat body as a whole. As shown enlarged in FIG. 2, each foamed monofilament 1 has a large number of micropores 2 due to foaming, and the presence of these micropores 2 and the foamed monofilament 1
Since the mat M is porous and deposited to a predetermined thickness, the mat M has sufficient cushioning properties and three-dimensional appearance as an underlay for a table cloth, and also functions as a cover for stains on the table surface.

A spinning head 4 is connected to the extruder 3 and has a row of nozzle holes at its lower end. Reference numeral 5 denotes a collecting belt having a smooth surface which is in rolling contact with belt pulleys 6 and 6' which rotate in the same direction, and a plurality of sets of cooling means 7 are disposed opposite to each other on the central upper surface of the collecting belt 5.

A foamed monofilament 1 is spun out. A predetermined distance is provided between the bottom of each nozzle hole and the collection belt 5 as shown in FIG. 5 is set to a slow moving speed, the foamed monofilaments are deposited on the collection belt 5 to a predetermined thickness while drawing random loop shapes, and at the same time, the contact portions of each foamed monofilament 1 are melted. It is put together to form an integrated matte shape. While being transported on the collection belt 5, this mat-shaped material is cooled by a plurality of cooling devices 7, forming an endless product, which is then cut into a predetermined size to produce the mat shown in Figure 1. M is obtained.

As described above, the tablecloth underlay mat of the present invention is made by depositing foamed monofilaments in a random loop shape to a predetermined thickness, and by melting and bonding the contacting parts of these foamed monofilaments to each other. Because it has an integrated structure, it has sufficient cushioning and three-dimensionality as an underlay for a tablecloth, and it also serves as a cover for the table surface and hides dirt, which traditional tablecloths have. Can solve all problems.
