2. Description of the Related Art The screen of a large display device installed outdoors or the like to display a screen is configured as shown in FIG. 5, for example. In the figure, screen 1 is composed of four layers in the vertical direction, and each layer consists of 10 blocks. Each block 2 has 80 blocks arranged in a grid pattern with 10 blocks vertically and 8 blocks horizontally.
Each display unit 3 includes a plurality of display elements (not shown).

Power is supplied to the display unit 3 from a power supply device 4 provided for each block 2. Conventionally, one end of the power supply wiring 5 is connected to the power supply device 4, and the other end thereof is connected to the power supply device 4 as shown in FIG. The display unit 3 is connected to the display unit 3 on one side, and thereafter connected in series to the display unit 3 adjacent to the display unit 3 in sequence by the branch wiring 6 to reach the display unit 3 on the other side.

However, according to the above conventional wiring system, as shown in FIG.
Although the voltage applied to the display unit 3a on the side to which is connected is high, the voltage gradually drops while reaching the display unit 3b on the opposite side. Therefore, a difference occurs between the voltage applied to the display unit 3a of the adjacent block 2 to which the power supply wiring 5 is connected. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 8, a difference in screen brightness occurs at the boundary between adjacent blocks 2.

[0005] When a large screen display device is constructed using such a wiring method, especially when the display elements lit up to display graphics are concentrated in a certain range, when looking at the entire screen, there will be bright areas and dark areas. There is a problem in that the image quality of the display screen is deteriorated due to the difference in level.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention arranges a display unit constituted by a plurality of display elements in a grid pattern vertically and horizontally, and supplies current to the display unit from a power supply device. In a large display device that supplies light to emit light and displays a screen, a pair of left and right branch wirings are connected to the power supply wiring connected to the power supply device, and the display unit is connected in series to each of these branch wirings. It is a feature.

[Operation] According to the above structure, the power supply voltage supplied to the display unit is high near the center of the screen, and gradually decreases toward the left and right. However, since there is almost no difference in voltage between opposite ends of adjacent display units, there is no difference in the brightness of the screen at that position, and deterioration in image quality can be prevented.

is composed of 80 display units 3 like the one shown in FIG. 6, and one power supply device 4 is provided for one block 2. A left power supply wiring 5a and a right power supply wiring 5b are connected to the power supply device 4.
It is placed upright near the center of the block 2 screen.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be explained. As shown in FIG. 2, the voltage supplied from the power supply device 4 to the display unit 3 via the power supply wiring 5 and the branch wiring 6 gradually decreases toward the left and right around the center of the screen. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, the luminance of the display unit 3 is high at the center and decreases toward both ends. However, since the voltages applied to opposing display units 3 at both ends of adjacent blocks 2 are approximately equal, there is almost no difference in brightness between them. Therefore, since the brightness changes continuously, there is no sense of discomfort, and even in a large screen display device, deterioration in image quality due to voltage drop can be prevented.

According to this embodiment, the left power supply wiring 5a
Since the branch wiring 6 connected to the power supply wiring 5b of the right system and the right system is further branched in the left-right direction at a plurality of locations, it is possible to reduce the voltage drop of the display unit 3 connected to the terminal of the branch wiring.
