(Field of the Invention) The present invention relates to a color photographic material with improved color reproducibility, and particularly to a colored coupler for color correction. (Prior art) By color-developing a silver halide color photographic material, the oxidized aromatic primary amine color developing agent and coupler react to produce indophenol, indoaniline, indamine, azomethine, etc.
It is known that phenoxazine, phenazine and similar dyes can be produced to form color images. In this system, subtractive color reproduction is usually used for color reproduction, with silver halide emulsions selectively sensitive to blue, green, and red, and yellow, magenta, and cyan color image-forming couplers that are complementary colors, respectively. is used. The color image formed in this way does not have a theoretically ideal spectral absorption spectrum. For example, a cyan image should absorb only red light, but generally also has sub-absorption for green and blue light, and a magenta image should absorb only green light, but generally has sub-absorption for blue and red light as well. It also has secondary absorption. As a method for improving this drawback, a masking method using colored color-forming couplers has been put into practical use in the art. For the purpose of correcting the undesirable absorption characteristics of dyes produced by cyan couplers, for example, U.S. Pat.
Couplers described in US Pat. No. 1,324,287, US Pat. No. 3,583,971, US Pat. No. 4,138,258 or US Pat. No. 3,996,055 are known. These couplers have some performance, but the coupling speed is too high,
They have disadvantages such as being too small, making uniform color correction difficult, and the fastness of the dye produced from the colored coupler being insufficient, and when the required amount is added, fading of the image becomes noticeable. (Objective of the Invention) The object of the present invention is to improve the various deficiencies mentioned above. That is, uniform color correction can be performed. The object of the present invention is to provide a color photographic material with improved color reproducibility by providing a colored cyan coupler. (Structure of the Invention) The above object has been achieved by a color photographic material characterized by containing a colored cyan coupler represented by the following general formula []. At least one DIR coupler represented by general formula [], [] and [], general formula []
When at least one colored coupler represented by the following formula and at least one coupler represented by the general formula [] were used in combination in the same color-sensitive layer, a color photographic material with extremely excellent color reproducibility was obtained. This seems to be due to the fact that the coupling speeds of the three types of couplers are similar. In other words, the surprising experimental fact was obtained that uniform color correction can be achieved even if the amounts of various components such as developer, pH, preservative, etc. are slightly different from the appropriate amounts during the development process. The total number of moles of the couplers represented by the general formulas [], [], and [] is (a), and the total number of moles of the couplers represented by the general formula [] is (b), and the general formula [] When the total number of moles of couplers used is (c), the ratio of the number of moles used in the red-sensitive emulsion layer is (a):(b):(c)=

The colored coupler of the present invention may be used in any of the high-sensitivity emulsion layer, low-sensitivity emulsion layer, or intermediate layer adjacent to the red-sensitive emulsion layer. Examples of compounds of the present invention Specific examples of preferred main couplers used together Specific examples of DIR couplers used together The compounds of the present invention can be generally synthesized by known methods. For example, a coupler represented by the general formula [] is synthesized by diazotizing the corresponding amine and coupling it with the corresponding phenol. In the case of a coupler represented by the general formula [ ], for example, US Patent No. 4004929
No. 4138258 or No. 4138258. Next, a typical synthesis example of the coupler of the present invention will be described below. Synthesis Example 1 Synthesis of Exemplary Compound (1) Synthesis was carried out using the following synthetic route. Compounds 6 to 6 were synthesized by conventional methods using the above synthetic route. Here, the synthesis methods for Compound 6 and subsequent compounds will be described in detail below. Synthesis of Γ Compound 7 ~: Mix 32.8 g of Compound 6 ~ and 7.2 g of fluoroparanitrobenzene in 200 ml of N,N-dimethylformamide, add 20 ml of methanol containing 2.5 g of sodium hydroxide, and add 50 g of fluoroparanitrobenzene.
Compound 7~ was prepared by reacting at ℃ for 2 hours.
18.9g was obtained (a mixed solvent of ethanol and hexane was used as the recrystallization solvent). Synthesis of Γ Compound 8~: Mix 18.9g of Compound 7~ with 100ml of methylene chloride and prepare 21.3g of BBr 3 at 0℃.
was dripped. After 1 hour, the reaction temperature was raised to 10°C, and the reaction was continued at that temperature for 3 hours. Work-up was carried out in a conventional manner to obtain 13.2 g of the target compound 8 (recrystallization solvent: mixed solvent of ethyl acetate and hexane). Synthesis of Γ Compound 9~: 13.2 g of Compound 8~ was mixed in a mixed solvent of 100 ml of isopropanol, 10 ml of acetic acid, and 10 ml of water, and the mixture was reduced by heating under reflux using 15 g of reduced iron. Synthesis of Γ Exemplary Compound (1): Compound 9~ obtained in the previous step
Using 9.3g, make a diazonium salt with sodium nitrite according to the usual method in a mixed solution of methanol and hydrochloric acid, and add this to 6.3g of compound 10~ in methanol,
Coupling with caustic soda mixed aqueous solution,
After acidification with hydrochloric acid, the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration, washed with water, dried, and washed with acetonitrile to obtain the desired product. Synthesis Example 2 Synthesis of Exemplified Compound (3) 3.9g of p-dimethylaminoaniline was added with 9g of concentrated hydrochloric acid.
ml, dissolved in 60 ml of water, cooled to 0°C, and diazotized by adding a solution of 2.1 g of sodium nitrite in 10 ml of water. Coupling component corresponding to this
It was added to a solution of 5.6 g of caustic soda, 20 ml of water, and 200 ml of methanol for a coupling reaction.
The desired coupler was obtained by adjusting the pH of the solution to 6, pouring it into 500ml of water, and filtering out the precipitated crystals.
I got (3). In the present invention, a known method, such as the method described in US Pat. No. 2,322,027, can be used to introduce the coupler into the silver halide emulsion layer or the non-photosensitive layer. For example, phthalic acid alkyl esters (dibutyl phthalate, dioctyl phthalate, etc.),
Phosphate esters (diphenyl phosphate, triphenyl phosphate, tricresyl phosphate, dioctyl butyl phosphate),
Citrate esters (e.g. acetyl tributyl citrate), benzoate esters (e.g. octyl benzoate), alkylamides (e.g. diethyl laurylamide), fatty acid esters (e.g. dibutoxyethyl succinate, diethyl azelate),
trimesic acid esters (e.g. tributyl trimesate), etc., or organic solvents with a boiling point of about 30°C to 150°C, such as lower alkyl acetates such as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, ethyl propionate,
After being dissolved in secondary butyl alcohol, methyl isobutyl ketone, β-ethoxyethyl acetate, methyl cellosolve acetate, etc., it is dispersed in a hydrophilic colloid. The above-mentioned high boiling point organic solvent and low boiling point organic solvent may be used in combination. Further, the dispersion method using a polymer described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 51-39853 and Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 51-59943 can also be used. When the coupler has an acid group such as carboxylic acid or sulfonic acid, it is introduced into the hydrophilic colloid as an alkaline aqueous solution. Binders or protective colloids that can be used in the emulsion layer or intermediate layer of the light-sensitive material of the present invention include:
Although gelatin is advantageously used, other hydrophilic colloids can also be used. For example, gelatin derivatives, graft polymers of gelatin and other polymers, proteins such as albumin and casein; cellulose derivatives such as hydroxyethyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, and cellulose sulfates; sugar derivatives such as sodium alginate and starch derivatives; polyvinyl alcohol , polyvinyl alcohol partial acetal,
Poly-N-vinylpyrrolidone, polyacrylic acid,

Expressed as an average based on projected area. ) is not particularly limited, but is preferably 3μ or less. The particle size may be narrow or wide. The silver halide grains in the photographic emulsion may have regular crystal structures such as cubic or octahedral shapes, or may have irregular crystal structures such as spherical or plate shapes, or may have irregular crystal structures such as spherical or plate shapes. It can also be a composite of shapes. It may also consist of a mixture of particles of various crystalline forms. Further, an emulsion may be used in which ultratabular silver halide grains having a grain diameter of five times or more the grain thickness occupy 50% or more of the total projected area. The silver halide emulsion may have a layered structure in which the interior and surface layers have different phases, a bonded structure, or a uniform phase. Further, the particles may be particles in which the latent image is mainly formed on the surface, or may be particles in which the latent image is mainly formed inside the particle. The photographic emulsion used in the present invention is written by P. Glafkides.

It is also possible to use a method in which particles are formed in an excess of silver ions (so-called back-mixing method).
One type of simultaneous mixing method is a method of keeping pAg constant in the liquid phase in which silver halide is produced, that is,
A so-called controlled double jet method may also be used. According to this method, a silver halide emulsion having a regular crystal shape and a nearly uniform grain size can be obtained. Two or more types of silver halide emulsions formed separately may be mixed and used. After the emulsion is precipitated or physically ripened, soluble salts are usually removed. For this purpose, the long-known Nudel water washing method, which involves gelatinization, may be used. Inorganic salts such as sodium sulfate,

Along with the sensitizing dye, the emulsion may contain a dye that itself does not have a spectral sensitizing effect or a substance that does not substantially absorb visible light and exhibits supersensitization. The invention is also applicable to multilayer, multicolor photographic materials having at least two different spectral sensitivities on the support. A multilayer natural color photographic material usually has at least one each of a red-sensitive emulsion layer, a green-sensitive emulsion layer, and a blue-sensitive emulsion layer on a support. The order of these layers can be arbitrarily selected as required. Usually, the red-sensitive emulsion layer contains a cyan-forming coupler, the green-sensitive emulsion layer contains a magenta-forming coupler, and the blue-sensitive emulsion layer contains a yellow-forming coupler, but different combinations may be used depending on the case. The photographic emulsion layer and the non-light-sensitive layer of the photographic light-sensitive material prepared using the present invention contain dye-forming couplers as main couplers and other purposes. A compound that can develop color by oxidative coupling with nylene diamine derivatives, aminophenol derivatives, etc.) may also be used. For example, magenta couplers include 5-pyrazolone couplers, pyrazolobenzimidazole couplers, pyrazolotriazole couplers, cyanoacetylcoumaron couplers, open-chain acylacetonitrile couplers, and yellow couplers include acylacetamide couplers (e.g., benzoylacetanilides, pivalo ylacetanilides), etc.
These couplers are preferably non-diffusible and have a hydrophobic group called a ballast group in their molecules, or are polymerized. The coupler may be either 4-equivalent or 2-equivalent to silver ions. It may also be a colored coupler that has a color correction effect or a coupler that releases a development inhibitor during development (so-called DIR coupler). In addition to the DIR coupler, the coupling reaction product is colorless and may contain a colorless DIR coupling compound that releases a development inhibitor. In addition to the DIR coupler, the light-sensitive material may contain a compound that releases a development inhibitor during development. Of course, two or more types of the above-mentioned couplers and the like can be used in the same layer in order to satisfy the characteristics required of a photosensitive material, or the same compound can be added to two or more different layers. The photographic color formers used are conveniently selected to provide intermediate scale images. The maximum absorption band of the cyan dye formed from the cyan color former is between about 600 and 720 nm, and the maximum absorption band of the magenta dye formed from the magenta color former is about 500 nm.
and 580 nm, and the maximum absorption band of the yellow dye formed from the yellow color former is preferably between about 400 and 480 nm. The photographic material of the present invention may contain an inorganic or organic hardener in the photographic emulsion layer or other hydrophilic colloid layer. For example, chromium salts (chromium alum, chromium acetate, etc.), aldehydes (formaldehyde, glyoxal, glutaraldehyde, etc.), N-methylol compounds (dimethylol urea, methylol dimethylhydantoin, etc.),
Dioxane derivatives (2,3-dihydroxydioxane, etc.), active vinyl compounds (1,3,5-triacryloyl-hexahydro-s-triazine, 1,3-vinylsulfonyl-2-propanol, etc.), active halogen compounds (2,3-dihydroxydioxane, etc.), (4-dichloro-6-hydroxy-s-triazine, etc.), mucohalogen acids (mucochloric acid, mucophenoxychloroic acid, etc.), and the like can be used alone or in combination. In the photosensitive material produced using the present invention, when dyes, ultraviolet absorbers, etc. are contained in the hydrophilic colloid layer, they may be mordanted with a cationic polymer or the like. The photosensitive material produced using the present invention may contain a hydroquinone derivative, an aminophenol derivative, a gallic acid derivative, an ascorbic acid derivative, etc. as a color antifoggant, and specific examples thereof include:

In this case, the magenta density also increases imagewise with respect to the cyan density, but this is considerably alleviated when colored coupler EX-1 is added (sample 102). When colored coupler EX-2 was added (sample 103), the low exposure areas were overly masked, whereas the high exposure areas were insufficiently masked. All of these methods are non-uniform in terms of masking, and cannot be said to be at a satisfactory level from the viewpoint of uniform color correction, which is currently required. On the other hand, when (1) and (3) of the present invention were used as colored couplers (Samples 104 and 105), almost uniform masks were obtained, indicating that the colored couplers of the present invention are superior. That is clear. Example 2 Regarding samples 101 to 105 obtained in Example 1,
After exposure and processing similar to Example 1, these treated samples were tested for color fastness. Each sample was placed in an uncontrolled atmosphere at 100℃ for 3
Table 2 shows the decrease in cyan image density when stored in the dark for several days.
