PURPOSE:To secure the mutual high positional precision of respective printing process units by positioning/fixing respective printing process units by a positioning pin provided on a supporting body. 電子写真式印刷装置においては、給紙装置、用紙搬送装
置、露光装置、現像装置等各装置の互いの位置関係を高
精度に位置決めすることが、良好な印刷品質、高精度な
印刷位置精度を確保する上で非常に重要である。第4図
に従来技術による板金構成のフレームを示す。フレーム
は、外枠を構成するフロント側板1、リア側板2.そし
て左右側板3、そして下部土台のベースフレーム4から
構成される。フロント及びリア側板1,2はペースフレ
ーム4によって固定されており、更に、左右側板3、に
よってフレームの補強が成されている。この従来技術に
よるフレームに各ユニットを搭載する場合、ユニットの
位置決めは、フロント側板1及びリア側板2に設けられ
たユニット位置合わせ用穴に各ユニットに設けられた位
置決めピンが嵌合することによって成されるのが一般的
であった。そのため、各印刷ユニットの相対位置精度は
、ユニットを支える前記フロント側板1及びリア側板2
自身の精度及び両者の相対位置精度によって大きく左右
されていた。従って、側板単品の精度を確保すると共に
、フレーム組立精度の高い高精度フレームを作り込む必
要が生じ、高精度プレス加工等、高度な設備が必要とな
るばかりか、部品のコスト及びフレーム組立コストが高
くなるという間迎点を有していた。

プロセスユニットの相対的な位置精度向上が、良好な印
刷品質、高精度な印刷位置精度を確保する上で重要であ
る。そこで、本考案はフレームの外枠を構成する板金の
中央にフレーム構成の中心を成す、例えばアルミダイキ
ャスト加工等で精度良く作られたフレームの骨格となる
支持体を設け、各印刷プロセスユニットの位置決め、及
び固定を全て支持体を介して行なう事により、簡単な構
成のフレームで、フレームの横4面を囲む側板の精度に
かかわらず、各印刷プロセスユニットが高精度に位置決
めされるように工夫したものである。
