However, since many of these vertical accelerations are caused by actions other than walking, the counted value ends up being higher than the actual number of steps. Therefore, in order to prevent actions other than walking from being counted as walking actions, whether the signal that is considered to be walking is continuously received at the start of counting is used to determine whether it is in a walking state or whether it is due to other actions. A determination unit is provided to determine the state of walking, and only when a signal is continuously received, it is considered to be in a walking state and counted, and when the signal is not continuously received, it is considered to be an action other than walking, and this signal is counted. A version that does not count is provided.

Therefore, from the user's point of view, the number of steps is not counted during the initial stage of walking, when the operation is most frequently checked, and the user often recognizes the device as malfunctioning or malfunctioning. In order to prevent this, some devices kept the count display progressing even during the above judgment, and returned the count display to the original state if walking was not judged, but in this case, from the user's point of view, Many people think that it is malfunctioning because of the subtraction, and this also causes many complaints. The present invention has been developed in view of these points, and its purpose is to not only be able to accurately count steps, but also to be able to easily recognize the operating state and avoid misunderstandings to the user. There is no pedometer to offer.

The present invention is characterized in that it includes a main count display section that displays the number of steps taken, and a pre-count display section that displays the number of steps taken during the determination operation. [Operation] According to the present invention, since the number of steps is displayed on the pre-count display section while it is being determined whether or not walking is being performed, during this time,
Even if the display on the main count display section does not progress, the user will not misunderstand that there is a malfunction or the like. [Example] The present invention will be described in detail below based on the illustrated example. This pedometer is used by being worn on the user's waist, etc., and detects the vertical acceleration that occurs when walking. The sensor 11 includes a sensor 11, an amplifier circuit 12 that amplifies the output of the sensor 11, a filter 13 for removing noise, a step counting circuit 14, and a display section 15. The step counting circuit 14 includes an A/D converter 21,
It is composed of a calculating section 23, a step count pulse determining section 22, and a continuous/stop determining section 24, and the continuous/stop determining section 24 is composed of a pre-counting section 25 and a main counting section 26. A mode changeover switch is used to change the display mode to something other than the number of steps, such as walking distance or burned calories, 32 is a reset switch, and 33 is a constant setting switch for inputting stride length or the like. In addition, the display section 15 is constituted by a liquid crystal display, as shown in FIG. It is equipped with pre-count display sections 17 arranged in a row. Note that a description of the display of walking distance and burned calories will be omitted. To explain the operation, when the signal output from the sensor 11 is deemed to be caused by walking in the step count pulse determination section 22, this signal enters the continuous/stop determination section 24, and after the pre-count, the main count is started. Move to. In other words, the pre-count value is set to 0, and the dead zone time Tmask in which the next signal is not accepted for a while after a certain signal is input is set to the initial setting value Tmas.
After setting it to kl, it waits for a walking signal,
If this is input, the time t from the rise to the fall of the walk signal is the maximum value Tm of the walk pulse judgment width.
It is determined whether the value falls between ax and the minimum value Tm1n, and if it is deemed to be walking, one step is displayed on the pre-count display section 17 (Figure 3), and a short dead zone time Tmask is determined. After passing through, it is determined whether the precount value has become larger than a predetermined value N1, and if it has not reached the predetermined value N1, the next signal is waited for. Then, when the signal for the second step is received, the precount display section 17 displays that it is the second step (Fig. 3 c), and this is repeated until the precount value becomes N1 (5 in the case of Fig. 3).
If it becomes larger, the main count display section 16 will change the display from 0 steps to N1+1 (6 in this case).
Let's start from. If a certain signal is input before the pre-count value reaches N1+1, the walking end determination time Tst. If the next signal does not arrive even after p has elapsed, the precount value is returned to 0, and the display on the main count display section 16 remains at 0. The pre-count display section 6 has a plurality of bar-shaped displays arranged in a line as described above, and the main count display is such that the bar-shaped displays light up one after another as the count progresses. By continuing the display on the pre-count display section 17 even after the display on the main count display section 16 has started, the above-mentioned operation mode can be switched and the display on the main count display section 16 can become something other than the number of steps. This is to enable the user to determine whether or not counting is in progress. Of course, bar-type displays may be stacked vertically to form a bar graph. If walking is stopped, the main count display section 16 will leave the display as soon as this is detected;
By extinguishing the display on the pre-count display section 17, the user can be notified that the walking stop has been detected. As shown in FIG. 4, the pre-count display section 17 may display numerical values in the same way as the main count display section 16, and the 0 display space is small. In this case, it is preferable to turn off the display on the pre-count display section 17 when the walking judgment period has elapsed and the main count display section 16 starts displaying the number of steps.The main count display section 16 does not add up the number of steps. On the other hand, since the pre-count display section 17 starts displaying from 1 for each step period, from the user's perspective, there is no complexity when checking the number of steps.

Therefore, the period of walking determination can be extended, and more accurate step counting can be performed.
