Abstract

PURPOSE:To ameliorate the perforative characteristics of a thermal head, control heating temperature easily, and improve the reliability and stability of a thermal stencil process device by preheating a thermal head heat generating element with a heating element before image formation by the heat generating element. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head heat generating element is preheated by non- contact method. A heating element 16 and a fan 17 are always turned on so as to send hot air into a cover 18 surrounding a thermal head 3, a platen roller 14, and a thermal stencil paper roll 2 and the internal temperature is kept constant. As for temperature to be set at a temperature sensor 15, temperatures ranging from the room temperature to temperatures less than a melting point of a film are possible as a temperature immediately before a perforation by the thermal head 3. However, 30 deg.C-70 deg.C is desirable as a temperature where the thermal head is always kept stable at an actual use and about 30 deg.C-50 deg.C is desirable for a film having a high coefficient of shrinkage. A CPU controls the temperature and outputs ON and OFF signals to the heating element 16 and the fan 17 in response to an input signal from the temperature sensor 15.

When the heating element of a thermal head continuously generates heat, its temperature gradually rises, and even with the same applied voltage, there is a phenomenon in which the heat generation energy increases. As a conventional technique, a method is generally known in which the voltage applied to the thermal head heating element is varied depending on the temperature of the thermal head heating element. However, with this method, it is practically difficult to continuously vary the applied energy.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Therefore, in view of the above-mentioned conventional situation, this invention focuses on perforation using the thermal energy of the thermal head during the process from plate making to printing. Before applying energy and drilling,
The head is heated to a stable temperature at all times to improve the perforation properties of the thermal stencil paper, and also to prevent changes in the environmental temperature of the thermal stencil printing machine due to seasonal changes, or due to the heating element itself of the thermal head. An object of the present invention is to provide a heat-sensitive stencil making device that can eliminate the influence of temperature rise.

In the thermal stencil making method using the apparatus having the above configuration,
Since the heating element of the thermal head is preheated by the heating element, the perforation performance by the heating element of the thermal head is improved, and it is not affected by the environmental temperature in which the thermal stencil printing apparatus is placed due to seasonal changes. Furthermore, the influence of temperature rise due to the thermal head heating element itself can be eliminated.
