To remove metal particles from liquids containing metal particles such as metal shavings, filtration devices incorporating a filter paper type element, which are inexpensive and have high filtration efficiency, are widely used. The filter paper type element of this type of filtration device is
As shown in the figure. That is, in this element, as shown in FIG. 1A, a filter paper 2 bent into a substantially corrugated shape as shown in FIG. 1B is placed in a cylindrical shape around a core tube 1 having a large number of through holes formed around it. Wind up the above core tube 1 above and below it.

(C in the same figure) are attached concentrically, and a ring 4 (D in the same figure) having a hole approximately the same diameter as the inner diameter of the core tube 1 is arranged. As shown in FIG. 3, it is mounted on a pedestal 7 of a filtrate pipe 6 provided within a casing 5 of the filtration device. In this case, this filter paper type element is mounted on the pedestal 7 with its core tube 1 fitted onto a threaded core rod 8 that is planted from the bottom of the pedestal 7, and fixed with a nut 9. be done. Note that 10 is a casing lid, which is mounted on the casing 5 and fixed with a nut 11. 12 is a stock solution pipe that supplies the stock solution into the casing 5; 13 is a casing lid 10;
It is a ring. Filtration of the stock solution using this type of filtration device is performed as follows. That is,
The stock solution is fed from the stock solution pipe 12 into the casing 5 at a predetermined pressure as shown by the arrow shown in the figure, and is passed through the outer peripheral surface of the filter paper 2 into the core tube 1 and then fed into the filtrate pipe 6.
This is done by taking it out through the process. When this stock solution passes through the outer peripheral surface of the filter paper 2, metal particles in the stock solution are captured and remain on the outer peripheral surface. In this way, metal particles accumulate on the outer peripheral surface as the filtration progresses. During filtration, these metal particles adhere to the outer peripheral surface of the filter paper 2 due to the pressure of the stock solution, but when the pressure is removed by stopping filtration, they fall due to their own weight. In this case, since there is a lower cap 3, the falling metal particles do not fall downward from there, but are deposited on the lower cap 3 one after another. As a result, the outer circumferential surface of the filter paper 2 is sequentially covered with deposited metal particles starting from the lower cap 3 side, and the filtration area becomes smaller, so clogging occurs relatively early, making it necessary to frequently replace the element. In order to prevent the clogging phenomenon from occurring, it has been considered to introduce compressed air into the casing 5, but even this method has little effect as the metal particles that have been sieved out accumulate on the lower cap 3. Regarding the above element, Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 48-52978 discloses that a filter medium is formed into a chrysanthemum-shaped cross section to form a filter tube, a disk-shaped end plate is fixed to the upper end surface of the filter tube, and the lower end surface is fixed to the filter tube. discloses an air filtration element in which a chrysanthemum-shaped end plate is fixed along the chrysanthemum-shaped end face of the filter tube. However, this element is used in automobile air purifiers, etc., and is for air filtration with low viscosity.
Moreover, since the upper and lower ends of the filter cylinder are fixed by end plates, there is no need to use particularly stiff filter paper, and strong filter paper is not used. Therefore, if this filter is used to filter a highly viscous liquid, it will deform and cause the filter cylinder to collapse.
In addition, since the end plate at the lower end of the filter tube is integrated as a whole, each chrysanthemum-shaped protrusion of the filter tube is fixed by the end plate and is difficult to vibrate. Since the tube is made of non-woven fabric and cotton paper,
The pitch of each chrysanthemum-shaped protrusion of the filter tube cannot be reduced beyond a certain limit, and as a result, the filtering area of the element is relatively small. Therefore, when this is used for liquid filtration, even if the filter tube does not collapse, due to the small filtration area, considerable pressure is applied to the filtration residue such as captured metal particles during filtration, causing the filtration residue to become filtrated. It becomes stuck in the tube.
Therefore, even if compressed air is blown into the undiluted solution (liquid before filtration) around the outer periphery of the filter tube to vibrate (bubble) the undiluted solution, it cannot be easily sieved off. Moreover, as mentioned earlier, the chrysanthemum-shaped protrusions of the filter tube do not vibrate because the top and bottom of the filter tube are fixed by plate-shaped end plates, and this, as well as the phenomenon of the filtration residue biting in, cause However, it is difficult to sieve off the filtration residue. Furthermore, a filtration device in which the above-mentioned element is housed in a suspended state within a casing has been proposed (Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 33-010396). The element used in this device has the above-mentioned drawbacks such as difficulty in sieving off filter residue even when bubbling, since both the upper and lower ends of the element are fixed by end plates. Furthermore, with this device, checking when to replace the element requires opening the top opening of the casing, lifting the element, and checking whether the element is clogged, making it complicated to check when to replace the element. be.

In other words, this filtration device for liquid filtration uses a filter element with a cylindrical filter material made by bending strong filter paper into an extremely small waveform with an open bottom end, and compressing it into a casing. Because air is introduced into the casing, when compressed air is introduced into the casing when filtration is stopped, etc., metal particles, etc. that simply adhere to the filtration material and do not bite into it, may be removed due to the large filtration area. Due to the bubbling of the stock solution, it is easily sieved off from the filter medium, and falls to the bottom of the casing through its lower open end due to its own weight. Therefore, metal particles and the like do not accumulate on the lower cap as in the past, and the element has a longer lifespan. In particular, this device uses independent members to individually close the openings of the vertical folds (the openings created between the crests of the corrugations and the core tube) so that each vertical fold of the filter material can easily vibrate. . Therefore, during the above-mentioned bubbling, each vertical fold of the filter medium vibrates independently, so that even adhered particles that would not peel off and fall due to their own weight are forcibly separated and fall. Therefore,
There is almost no clogging of the filter material due to metal particles, etc., and the filter material is always kept in a new condition. The filtration efficiency per unit area of the filter material is always maintained at a good level, and the filtration pressure is also reduced. This will give you the effect of being kept low all the time. In addition, since the filtration device of this invention is provided with a lamp tube and a peephole on the inner surface of the bottom side of the casing, it is possible to easily identify the amount of metal particles etc. accumulated at the bottom of the casing. Based on this amount of accumulation, it is possible to know when to replace the element. Therefore, there is no need to open the upper cover of the casing, lift the element, and check whether it is clogged.

To explain the filter element in more detail, the filter element has a first
As shown in the figure, a strong filter paper 2 folded into an extremely small wave shape is placed on the outer circumferential surface of the core tube 1, which has many through holes formed around it.
The cylindrical filter paper 2 is wound into a cylindrical shape along the axis of the filter paper 2, and a cap 3 (see Fig. 4) and a ring 4, which have an opening larger than the outer diameter of the filter material, are attached to the upper end surface of the cylindrical filter paper 2.
The filter paper 2 and the core tube 1 are integrated with each other with a disc-shaped blind lid 15 (see Fig. 5) arranged on the lower end surface of the cylindrical filter paper 2 to maintain the waveform shape. It is structured as follows. Then, on the lower end surface of the cylindrical filter paper 2, a spacer having the same shape as the opening is inserted into the opening formed by the wavy crest at the lower end of the cylindrical filter paper 2 and the outer peripheral surface of the core tube 1, as shown in FIG. 14 are fitted and closed individually. This filter element is made by bending a strong sheet-like filter paper 2 into a waveform with an extremely small pitch, and fixing the upper and lower ends to a cap 3 and a blind lid 15 while maintaining the waveform shape of the filter paper 2. Since it is used as a filter material, deformation of the filter paper 2 due to filtration resistance can be prevented, and the filtration area can be made extremely large, thereby realizing a significant improvement in filtration efficiency. Also,
When compressed air is blown into the stock solution around the outer periphery of the filter material to vibrate (bubble) the stock solution in order to sieve out filtration residue such as metal particles from the filter material, the lower end of the filter material is an independent member with the waveform shape maintained. This, together with the fact that the filter medium is made of filter paper, causes the corrugated folds of the filter medium to vibrate easily due to bubbling. Therefore, filtration residue can be sieved off smoothly, and the filter material can be easily recycled and used without replacing the filter material. Moreover, this filter element
At the lower end of the filter material, the openings created between the corrugated peaks and the core tube 1 are individually closed, and are not closed using the cap 3 as in the past, so that when filtration is stopped, , metal particles etc. adhering to the outer peripheral surface of the filter medium fall freely and do not cover the outer peripheral surface of the filter medium. Therefore, clogging phenomenon hardly occurs and it can be used for an extremely long period of time. As mentioned above, the filter element has a hanging pipe 1 attached to the upper cap 3.
6 is installed, as shown in FIG. 7, the tip of the pipe 16 is inserted into the casing 17 and protrudes from the hole provided in the casing lid 18, and the nut 19 is inserted into the protrusion of the pipe 16. It is fixed by matching and tightening.

In this configuration, the stock solution sent into the casing 17 from the stock solution pipe 23 comes into contact with the cylindrical filter paper 2, and when passing through the cylindrical filter paper 2, mixed metal particles are captured and removed, and the stock solution is purified and placed in the core tube 1. It enters the core tube 1 through the outer peripheral through hole. To screen out the metal particles captured on the cylindrical filter paper 2, compressed air is blown into the casing 17 from the stock solution pipe 23 at an appropriate time to bubble the stock solution, thereby vibrating the cylindrical filter paper 2 and the attached particles. This is done by letting In this case, since the cylindrical filter paper 2 has an open bottom end as described above, it vibrates well and quickly sieves off the attached metal particles. In particular, if the distance between the outer periphery of the cylindrical filter paper 2 and the inner periphery of the casing 17 is set narrow, the gap between the star-shaped tops of the cylindrical filter paper 2, which has a star-shaped cross section of the stock solution, becomes pressurized during bubbling. This allows for more effective sieving. The sieved metal particles then fall through the lower open end of the cylindrical filter paper 2 to the bottom of the casing 17 and are deposited there. The deposited metal particles are taken out to the outside by operating a kettle when the amount of deposited metal particles becomes constant.

The filtration device for liquid filtration of this invention uses a strong sheet-like filter paper bent into an extremely small pitch waveform as its filter element, so that the deformation of the filter paper due to filtration resistance is prevented for the element. At the same time, the filtration area can be made extremely large, and the filtration efficiency can be greatly improved. Further, the element includes a filter material made by folding filter paper into a cylindrical shape, and a core tube that is inserted into the tube, and the filter material is formed between the ridges of the waveform of the filtration material and the core tube. Since the openings are individually closed by independent members, when the stock solution is vibrated (bubbled), the vertical folds of each waveform of the filter medium vibrate independently from each other due to bubbling. Therefore, the filtration area is large, and the filtration residue does not dig into the surface of the filtration material, but simply adheres to it, and the corrugated folds of this filtration material vibrate independently, making it possible to sift out the filtration residue. This makes it possible to smoothly recycle and reuse the filter material without replacing it. In this case, the sieved filter residue falls through the corrugated folds to the bottom of the casing. Moreover, since the openings of the wavy folds are individually closed by independent members, there will be no problem even if the pitch of the wavy folds is made extremely small by adjusting the dimensions of the independent member according to the openings. Can be sealed without causing any damage. In this way, in the filtration device for liquid filtration of this invention, the filtration material is always kept in a new state, the filtration efficiency per unit area is significantly improved, and the pressure required for filtration can be reduced. , the excellent effect of being able to withstand use for an extremely long time can be obtained. In addition, since the filtration device of this invention is equipped with a lamp tube and a peephole on the inner surface of the bottom side of the casing, the amount of filter residue accumulated at the bottom of the casing can be checked from the peephole. It is possible to know when to replace the filter element from the amount of accumulation.
Therefore, the complicated operation of opening the upper cover of the casing, lifting the filter element, and checking whether the element is clogged, as in the conventional method, is no longer necessary.
