Abstract

、中長纒み、長編み、長々編み等を組み合わせて花びら
部分を複数箇所形成することにより作ることができる。
また、葉っばの形をしたモチーフは所定長さにｗ４編み
を作り、この鎖編みの両側に、上記と同様、細編み、中
長編み、長編み等を組み合わせることにより半月状ない
しは弓形をした編み形状を形成することによって作るこ
とができる、その他、かぎ針編みの様々な編み方を応用
することにより、作成者の創意により、様々な形状、大
きさのモチーフを作成することできる。
ところで、このような従来の形成方法によるモチーフは
、モチーフを作成した後、これをたとえばセータ等の編
み物の上に取り付けるということが常識的であった。こ
の場合、あらかじめ作成したモチーフは、これを取り付
けるべきたとえばセータ等の編み物上に縫い付けること
になる。
ところで、上記のように、別途作成したモチーフを、編
み物の編地に取り付ける場合、次のような不具合があっ
た。
その第一は、モチーフという場合、これを取り付は対象
である編地に取り付けられた状態での形状を想定して作
成するのであるか、かぎ針編みにおいては、すでに纒ま
れた部分かなにものかに固定されているわけではなく、
しかも、編み操作の過程において変形自在であるので、
編み過程において上記想定している形状か正しく作られ
ているのかどうかを確認するのが困難であり、したがっ
て、実際に作られたモチーフが、想定していた形状に対
して大きさがくるっていたり、いびつな形になったりす
るということか多いということである。このような問題
は、特に、初心者の場合よく起こる。
そしてその第二は、上記のモチーフは、伸縮性に富んだ
毛糸によって作成されることか多いため、モチーフ単体
は、一般に収縮した状態にあり、したがってこれを編地

簡単に行えるようになるのみならず、モチーフの作成操
作が完了した時点で、自動的に、このモチーフが、取り
付は対象である編地等に取り付けられた恰好となるので
、従来のように、別途作成したモチーフを編地等に縫い
付ける作業も不要となる。

の編地上への形成の手法の問題を全て解決することかで

たとえば、編地Ａ上に花の形をしたモチーフを作り付け
るには、次のような操作をすればよい、すなわち、第２
図に示すように、まず、所望の直径をもつ円形のチエー
ンスティッチＢを編地上に形成する。次に、このような
円形のチェーンスティッ千Ｂの編み目から、ｌＢＭＭみ
、中長編み、長編み、長々編み等を組合わせて、花びら

上述のように、本願発明のモチーフの作成方法によれば

別途作成したモチーフを編地に縫い付けるといった作業
を全く必要とすることがない。
しかも、同じ形状のモチーフを作成するにしても、作成
過程のおいてモチーフの要素を確認しながら作業を進め
ることができるので、思い通りのモチーフが、確実に編
地上に一体化された状態で形成されるのである。
もちろん、この発明の範囲は上述の実施例に限定される
ものではない。モチーフの各要素の具体的形状は、作成
