Abstract

PURPOSE:To utilize a cable effectively by superimposing an information code onto a synchronizing signal of a composite video signal and transmitting the superimposed signal. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing signal 9 of a composite video signal 19 and an information code 2 are inputted to an information code transmitter in the DC coupling transmission of the composite video signal 19 comprising a video signal 1 and the synchronizing signal, and a parallel/serial code converter 3 which converts the parallel information code 2 into a serial signal and superimposes the information code 2 onto the synchronizing signal 9 while using an information code serial transmission means is provided to a sender side T. Thus, the synchronizing signal 9 and the information code 2 of the composite video signal 19 are inputted to the parallel/serial code converter 3, in which the parallel information code 2 is converted into a serial signal and the information code 2 is superimposed on the synchronizing signal 9 by the information code serial transmission means and the result is sent from the sender side T. Thus, only a composite video signal transmission cable 5 is enough for a transmission line L.

[Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to an information code transmission method and apparatus in direct current coupled transmission of a composite video signal consisting of a video signal and a synchronization signal through a cable. [Prior art and its problems] A composite video signal is mainly transmitted to a display device (CRT), and information codes such as control codes and operation code transmission/reception accompanying the display may be transmitted. Conventionally, when transmitting this information code, there was a problem in that two types of cables were required: a composite video signal transmission cable and an information code transmission cable. [Means for Solving the Problems] In order to solve the above problems, the method of the present invention provides an information code transmission method in DC coupled transmission of a composite video signal 19 consisting of a video signal 1 and a synchronization signal 9, as shown in the first diagram. , is characterized in that the information code 2 is transmitted by superimposing the information code 2 on the synchronization signal 9 of the composite video signal 19. In order to solve the same problem, the device of the present invention has a composite video signal 1 consisting of a video signal 1 and a synchronization signal 9 as shown in the first diagram.
In the information code transmission device for DC coupled transmission of 9, the synchronization signal 9 of the composite video signal 19 and the information code 2 are input, and the information code 2 is converted from parallel to serial, and the information code 2 is transmitted according to the serial transmission procedure. The configuration is such that a parallel/serial code converter 3 for superimposing an information code 2 on a synchronization signal 9 is provided on the transmitting side T. [Operation] The synchronizing signal 9 of the composite video signal 19 and the information code 2 are input to the parallel/serial converter 3, where the information code 2 is converted from parallel to serial, and the synchronizing signal 9 is converted into the synchronizing signal 9 by the serial transmission procedure of the information code 2. The information code 2 is superimposed on the information code 2 and transmitted from the transmitting side T, and the transmission path requires only the composite video signal transmission cable 5. [Example] The present invention will be described in detail below based on the drawings. FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing the configuration of an embodiment of the method and apparatus of the present invention, FIG. 2 is an explanatory diagram of the operation of this embodiment, and FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram of a composite video signal using a DC coupling method. In FIG. 1, 1 is a video signal, 2 is an information code, 9 is a horizontal synchronization signal that forms the video signal 1 and the composite video signal 19, and 3 is the horizontal synchronization signal 9 of the composite video signal 19 and the information code 2. The input information code 2 is converted from parallel to serial, and a horizontal synchronization signal 9 is generated depending on the presence or absence of bits in accordance with the serial transmission procedure of information code 2.
Change the level and superimpose the information code 2 on the horizontal synchronization signal 99 For example, if there is a bit, the level of the horizontal synchronization signal 9 is made to amplitude to the negative polarity side, and if there is no bit, it is transmitted so that it does not become negative polarity. It is a parallel/serial code converter. A buffer 4 is provided on the transmitting side T together with the parallel/serial code converter 3. 6 is a composite video signal receiver that receives the composite video signal 19; 7 is a detection circuit that detects a change in the level of the horizontal synchronizing signal 9, such as a comparator circuit; and 8 is a serial transmission procedure by inputting the detection output of this comparator circuit 7. This is a serial/parallel code reproducing circuit that converts from serial to parallel and restores the information code 2, and the composite video signal receiver 6° comparator circuit 7 and serial/parallel code reproducing circuit 8 are provided on the receiving side R. 5 is a composite video signal transmission cable forming a transmission path connecting the transmitting side T and the receiving side R. In the above configuration, the horizontal synchronizing signal 9 and the information code 2 of the composite video signal 19 are transmitted to the parallel/serial code converter 3.
The information code 2 is inputted to the converter, and the information code 2 is converted from parallel to serial, and the level of the horizontal synchronizing signal 9 is changed depending on the presence or absence of bits in accordance with the serial procedure of the information code 2.
If the bit is "1", the horizontal synchronizing signal 9 level will swing to the negative polarity side as shown in the second diagram, and if the bit is not "0"
In the case of
The level of the horizontal synchronizing signal 9 is transmitted to the receiving side R through the composite video signal transmission cable 5, received by the composite video signal receiver 6, and inputted to the comparator circuit 7 to detect the level of the horizontal synchronizing signal 9, which is amplified to the negative polarity side. The detection signal is input to the serial/parallel code reproducing circuit 8, and the information code 2 is reproduced by a serial transmission procedure. Note that FIG. 3 shows a DC-coupled composite video signal consisting of the video signal 1 and the horizontal synchronizing signal 9, and shows the case where the information code 2 is not superimposed on the horizontal synchronizing signal 9. This is an example of a case according to the present invention in which an information code 2 is superimposed on a horizontal synchronizing signal 9 of a DC-coupled composite video signal consisting of a video signal 1 and a horizontal synchronizing signal 9. [Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the present invention, when simultaneously transmitting the composite video signal 19 consisting of the video signal 1 and the synchronization signal 9, the accompanying information code 2 such as control code and operation code transmission/reception is transmitted. By superimposing the information code 2 on the synchronization signal 9 of the composite video signal 19 and transmitting it, only the composite video signal transmission cable 5 is required, making the information code transmission cable unnecessary and making effective use of the cable. 4,
