Abstract

PURPOSE:To hold the bundle of transfer materials by the hand of an operator, to store them in a sheet feeding cassette at the same time and to effectively set the transfer materials by providing notches larger enough for entering at least one hand on a wall face and a bottom face and further cut out portions on a stacking portion correspondingly to the notches. CONSTITUTION:Transfer materials are stacked on a stacking portion 4 provided on the bottom face 3 of a sheet feeding cassette 1. At this time, the bundle of recording materials is held by the hand of an operator and the bundle of the recording materials is stored in the sheet feeding cassette 1 via notches 6a on a wall face 2 and the bottom face 3 into which at least one hand can be fully inserted and cut out portions 7a, 7b.

The paper feed cassette 1 is formed by four upright walls 2 and a bottom surface 3, and the front end of the intermediate plate 4, which is a transfer material loading section, is pivoted on shafts 5a and 5b that are erected on the left and right walls 2. The transfer material P is supported and urged upward by a spring or the like, so that the stacked transfer material P is brought into contact with a paper feed roller of an image forming apparatus (not shown). Moreover, a notch 6a that allows the operator's hand to be fully inserted into the wall surface 2 on both sides and the bottom surface 3 adjacent to the wall surface 2;
6b are provided, and cutout portions 7a and 7b corresponding to the cutout portions 6a and 6b are provided in the middle plate 4.

Bearings 11 are provided at the lower ends of both sides of the rear wall 10, and the bearings 11 are supported by a shaft 12 erected on the side wall 2, and the rear wall 10 rotates around this shaft 12 so that it can be opened and closed. It has become. Further, a magnet 13 is attached above the shaft 12 on both side walls 2, and a metal plate 14 is attached at a position facing the magnet 13 on the rear wall 10. In this way, when storing the transfer material P in the paper feed cassette 1, the rear wall 1゛0
The sheet metal 14 is removed from the attraction by the magnet 13, and the rear wall 10 is opened.

Furthermore, if the transfer material P curls due to humidity, it is likely to jam, and dust will stain the photosensitive drum during image formation, so the paper feed cassette 1 may be covered. By doing this, the transfer material P is always shielded from the outside air except when the rear wall 10 is opened, although the above embodiment had a structure that had missing parts and notches and was easily penetrated by moisture, dirt, etc. It also has the added effect of preventing moisture, dirt, etc. from entering.

(g) Effects of the invention As explained above, even if the bundle of transfer material (P) is large, the operator can hold the bundle of transfer material (P) in the hand (H) and Because it can be stored in the paper cassette (1),
Since the paper of the transfer material (P) is well aligned, the alignment of the images formed can be improved. In addition, the paper feed cassette (1)
Since there is no change in the condition between the transfer materials (P) in the paper, there is no change in the friction conditions when feeding the transfer materials (P), so double feeding can be prevented. Furthermore, since the transfer material (P) can be stored at once, the operation of storing the transfer material (P) can be facilitated.
