Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a feed blend for fattening cow, preventing retention of eating in the latter period of fattening, bringing about extreme increase in weight by blending yeast with yeast culture and by-pass fats and oils. CONSTITUTION:1 pt.wt. yeast such as Torula yeast is blended with 0.05-1.5 pt.wt. substance prepared by culturing yeast culture such as beer yeast in a mixed medium of honey, peptone and salts and dried in a state of maintaining multiplying ability of yeast and 0.2-10 pts.wt. by-pass fats and oils such as melting point adjusted powdered beef tallow to give a feed blend for fattening cow. 100-500g/day of the blend is fed to a cow.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a feed composition and a fattening method for efficiently fattening beef cattle, and in particular, to prevent food stagnation, which is generally called "stop eating" in the late stage of fattening. The present invention also relates to a feed composition for rearing cattle and a fattening method that prevents a slowdown in weight gain.

In raising beef cattle, during the latter stages of fattening after 12 months of age, a high ratio of high-calorie feed (concentrate feed) is fed to the cattle for the purpose of increasing body weight and accumulating fat in the body. However, in the later stages of fattening, L cows' growth slows down and their appetite decreases, resulting in food stagnation. As a result, the breeding period was extended due to slower weight gain, which caused economic problems.

Conventionally, in order to prevent food stagnation, attempts have been made to administer digestive enzymes, particularly fibrinolytic enzymes, yeasts that produce fibrinolytic enzymes, etc., to activate the rumen of cattle. The use of antacids, antifoaming agents, and astringents to adjust the conditions in the rumen, as well as intestinal regulation agents such as lactic acid bacteria preparations, and feeding roughage containing relatively long fibers to stimulate saliva secretion. Promotional measures were taken. Other methods were also adopted, such as changing the composition of the feed being fed and changing the ratio of roughage to concentrate feed.

In order to make concentrated feed even higher in calories, methods of feeding with oil and fat are also being considered. This is the first step to administer fats and oils directly into the body.
In order to disturb the gastric immunity and suppress the growth of bacterial flora, so-called bypass fats and oils that have been treated to be inactive in the rumen are fed.

However, even if the conditions of the rumen are adjusted by administering the various preparations mentioned above, the ratio of roughage must be increased in order to maintain this condition, and the ratio of concentrates will decrease significantly over the long term. In addition, increasing the ratio of concentrated feed will lower the pH in the rumen, suppress the secretion of saliva, suppress the growth of bacteria in the rumen, and change the bacterial flora. This results in abnormal fermentation, resulting in bloating and indigestion, which ultimately slows down weight gain.

In addition, the method of adding bypass fats and oils also has a limit to the absorption of high nutrients because the feed is already fed with a high ratio of concentrated feed, and conversely increases the burden on the liver and can lead to liver cyst disease. It could not be fed easily because it would induce liver damage.

Therefore, even if the ratio of concentrated feed is increased in the later stages of fattening of cattle, the bacterial flora will be maintained normally, and the cattle will not suffer from food stagnation or, in some cases, bloat, and will achieve significant weight gain. There was a need for a feed formulation for fattening.

The yeast used in the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it produces digestive enzymes, but Torula yeast, sugar cane yeast, and brewer's yeast are particularly preferred. Yeast culture, which is a yeast culture product, is not limited in type, but it is preferable to ferment Torula yeast, sugar cane yeast, or brewer's yeast in a medium containing starch, diastase, malt, molasses, etc., and then dry it. Among these, a powdered product (trade name: Esac) obtained by drying brewer's yeast cultured in a molasses, salt, and peptone medium while still retaining its ability to proliferate is preferred.

The ratio of yeast to yeast culture is 0.05 to 1.5 parts by weight of yeast culture to 1 part by weight of yeast. If the amount is less than 0.05 parts by weight, no yeast culture effect will be observed, and if it is 1.5 parts by weight or more, no corresponding effect will be observed even if the amount added is increased.

Bypass fats and oils can be used as long as they are almost inactive in the rumen and are digested and absorbed from the third stage onward, such as commercially available fatty acid calcium-based fats and melting point-adjusted powdered beef tallow (trade name). ; Bri Plus Prime) is preferred. In general, it is not preferable to administer large amounts of bypass fats and oils because they may not be absorbed sufficiently or the cattle's palatability may not last long, but if fed in specific amounts in combination with yeast and yeast culture, be used effectively.

The compound of the present invention is not only applicable to cattle in the later stages of fattening, but also has sufficient effects when used on calves; however, there is no appropriate means for improving poor feeding and reduced weight gain. This is especially useful for cattle in the later stages of fattening, which are in trouble.

In the present invention, yeast epsilon yeast culture and bypass oil are blended in a preferable ratio, so it is extremely compatible with the taste of cattle.Although high-calorie substances such as bypass oil are blended, the amount added Even if the ratio of concentrated feed is increased, the synergistic action with yeast ε yeast culture will maintain the normal gastric flora, completely preventing food stagnation and flatulence. It is. Therefore, when added to the feed of cattle in the latter stage of fattening, the weight gain rate per month is reduced by 120% or more compared to the conventional fattening method.
