Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a current to flow to an attenuating resistor and to suppress the fluctuation of an output direct current voltage by adding an additional current circuit to input a control signal and to supply a supplying current to be changed respectively to two output terminals in a variable attenuator which changes the condition of a direct current bias according to the control signal. CONSTITUTION:The variable attenuator 20 is constituted by adding the additional current circuit 22 connected to output terminals 7 and 8 and a control terminal 9. By inputting direct current signal voltages V1 and V2 from signal input terminals 1 and 2, impressing a voltage V9 to the control terminal 9 and varying currents I10 and I18 to be led in by the collectors of transistors 10 and 18, the operating resistance of diodes 5 and 6 is changed and the amplitudes of output signals V7 and V8 from the output terminals 7 and 8 can be changed. The current I10 to be led in by the transistor 10 is passed through the diodes 5 and 6 and difference, however, between currents I16 and I17 to be transistors 16 and 17 only flows to resistors 3 and 4. Then, in the resistors 3 and 4, voltage drop is reduced.

The variable attenuator 21 has a signal input terminal 1 and a signal input terminal 2.
Apply arbitrary DC voltages Vl and V2 to the adjustment terminal 9.
The voltage V9 applied to the impedance variable diode 5.6 causes a current I5. By varying I6, the operating resistance '5r'r6 of each of the diodes 5.6 is varied, and the signal input terminals 1.
The voltage gain of the input and output of two pairs of output terminals 7°8 was controlled.
