Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely restrain the inner pressure rising in an air bag after expansion of the bag is completed by constituting the air bag of a lower bag ground fabric and an upper bag ground fabric to be sewed on the lower bag ground fabric, and providing via a continuity cutoff portion an auxiliary bag portion in a position upper than the sewing portion of both fabrics when the bag is expanded. CONSTITUTION:This air bag 1 includes a lower bag ground fabric 2 having a circular gas inlet opening 3 provided at the center of its lower part, and an upper bag ground fabric 6 sewed on the outer peripheral edge of the lower bag ground fabric 2 using a sewing thread 5 of nylon and the like to cover the portion above the lower bag ground fabric 2, and the bag 1 is so formed as to be roughly circular when expanded. The upper bag ground fabric 6 has two sets of a continuity cutoff portion 7 and an auxiliary bag 9 formed at two portions near those portion of the fabric 6 which are sewed to the lower bag ground fabric 2. The auxiliary bag 9 is formed by cutting the upper bag ground fabric 6 into a predetermined shape in accordance with the form of the auxiliary bag portion 9, bending the auxiliary bag portion 9 inwardly, and sewing the continuity cutoff portion 7 by means of a sewing thread 8.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] <Industrial Application Field> The present invention relates to an airbag of an airbag device installed in a vehicle, and more specifically, the lower gas inlet periphery is connected to a mounting member, and the gas flow When gas flows in from the inlet, it is expanded from the folded state, and when the internal pressure rises after expansion, the conduction shield is ruptured and the auxiliary bag section provided in a part of the airbag is inflated, suppressing the increase in internal pressure. The present invention relates to an airbag of an airbag device that can be suppressed.

In the airbag described in this publication, an auxiliary bag section is disposed on a peripheral wall extending from the vicinity of the gas inlet in the lower part to the upper part, and is inflated by breaking the sewing thread of the conduction shielding part when the internal pressure of the airbag increases.

However, in this airbag, the auxiliary bag section is simply disposed on a part of the peripheral wall through the conduction shielding section, and when the airbag attempts to expand due to gas flowing in from the gas inlet, There was a risk that a large bow tension would act on the peripheral wall, and the sewing thread of the conduction shielding part would break before the expansion was completed, causing the auxiliary bag part to inflate. Therefore, when the internal pressure increases thereafter, there is no longer any auxiliary bag portion to be inflated, and there is a possibility that the increase in internal pressure cannot be suppressed.

This invention solves the above-mentioned problem, and when the airbag is expanded, the auxiliary bag portion does not inflate and the airbag expands into a predetermined shape, and when the internal pressure increases after the expansion is completed, the auxiliary bag portion expands and the expansion ends. It is an object of the present invention to provide an airbag of an airbag device that can reliably suppress a subsequent increase in internal pressure.

Means for Solving the Problem> The airbag of the airbag device according to the present invention has a lower gas inlet periphery attached to a mounting member, and when gas flows in from the gas inlet, the upper bag base fabric When the portion opposite the gas inlet is opened from the folded state in which the outer peripheral edge sides of the upper and lower bag base fabrics are folded upward with the opposing portion of the gas inlet approached to the gas inlet, and the internal pressure increases after the expansion, conduction occurs. An airbag of an airbag device that can suppress an increase in internal pressure by breaking a shielding part and inflating an auxiliary bag part provided in a part of the airbag. and an upper bag base fabric sewn to the outer periphery of the lower bag base fabric to cover the upper side of the lower bag base fabric, and the conduction shielding The bag portion and the auxiliary bag portion are disposed above a portion of the upper bag base fabric where it is sewn to the lower bag base fabric in an expanded state.

<Operations and Effects of the Invention> In the airbag of the airbag device according to the present invention, in the folded state, the portions of the upper bag base fabric C facing the gas inlet are brought closer to the gas inlet, and the upper and lower bag base fabrics are folded. The outer periphery side is folded upward.

When a predetermined gas flows in from the gas inlet and expands, at the beginning of the expansion, the portion of the upper bag base fabric facing the gas inlet is pushed upward and begins to expand.
Before the expansion is completed, the upper bag base fabric is already stretched, and the lower bag base fabric is gradually stretched, and when the expansion is completed,
The periphery of the gas inlet, which is connected to the mounting member, receives the most tensile force.

Therefore, in the airbag according to the present invention, even if the maximum tensile force is applied to the periphery of the gas inlet at the end of expansion, the conduction shielding part connected to the auxiliary bag part is separated from the periphery of the gas inlet, Furthermore, since it is disposed on the upper bag base fabric which is separate from the lower bag base fabric, the tensile force acting on the periphery of the gas inlet is difficult to be transmitted to the conduction shielding part. There is no risk of breakage.

Then, when the internal pressure of the airbag increases after the airbag expands into a predetermined shape, the conduction shielding part disposed above the sewn part of the upper bag base fabric with the lower bag base fabric ruptures and inflates the auxiliary bag portion, thereby suppressing the increase in internal pressure of the airbag.

Therefore, in the airbag of the airbag device according to the present invention, the auxiliary bag portion expands into a predetermined shape without inflating at the time of expansion, and when the internal pressure increases after the expansion is completed, the auxiliary bag portion expands, and the auxiliary bag portion expands into a predetermined shape after the expansion is completed. Increase in internal pressure can be reliably suppressed.

However, in the airbag 1 of the embodiment, even if the most tensile force is applied to the periphery of the gas inlet 3 at the end of expansion, the conduction shielding part 7 connected to the auxiliary bag part 9 is Since the upper bag base fabric 6 is separate from the lower bag base fabric 2, the tensile force acting on the periphery of the gas inlet 3 against the conduction shielding part 7 is is difficult to be transmitted, and there is no risk of the conduction shielding part 7 breaking.Furthermore, when the internal pressure increases after the airbag 1 has expanded into a predetermined approximately spherical shape, a tensile force is applied to the circumferential wall of the airbag 1. In particular, a tensile force is instantaneously applied to the periphery of the recessed portion of the upper bag base fabric 6, and as shown in FIG. The conduction shielding part 7 disposed above the sewn part is easily broken and the auxiliary bag part 9 is inflated, thereby reliably suppressing the increase in the internal pressure of the airbag 1. The effect is similar to that described in the effect column.
