孔が設けられ、ここに螺合するねじ6aがロツク
レバ−7の一端部を回動自在に枢支する。このロ
ツクレバ−7は、他端部に把手部8を有し、かつ
一端部および図において上面に亘つて断面L字状
に折曲形成される。さらに、下面側には上記ねじ
6aを中心とした曲率半径の切欠部9が設けられ
る。上記取付座5の下部には内側に折曲形成され
る舌片10が設けられ、上記ロツクレバ−7との
間に弾性部材であるスプリング11が張設され
る。したがつてロツクレバ−7は常にねじ6aを
中心として時計廻り方向の弾性力を受けることと
なる。取付座5のシフトフレ−ム4に接合する基
部5bにはクツシヨンゴム12が設けられ、背部
2が保持される状態においてストライカ13に当
接する。このストライカ13は、上記車体のたと
えばピラ−に設けられていて、上下面内でかつ車
幅方向に中央部に向かつてル−プ状に突設され
る。上記ロツクレバ−7の切欠部9は、ストライ
カ13の上段部13aに掛脱自在である。上記ス
プリング11は、切欠部9がストライカ13から
離脱することのないようロツクレバ−7に弾性力
を付勢する。取付座5の折曲片部5a外面側下部
には、杆状のストツパ14がたとえば溶接手段を
もつて固着される。このストツパ14はロツクレ
バ−7がストライカ13に掛合する状態におい
て、ストライカ13のル−プを貫通するよう上,
下段部13a,13b間に介挿する。そして背部
2を前倒位置から通常姿勢に戻した際に上段部1
3aに当接しないこと勿論であるが、ロツクレバ
−7がストライカ13に掛合しないまま背部2を
通常姿勢以上後倒すると下段部13bに当接する
位置にある。

イカに当接するようにしたから、背部の後倒防止
をロツクレバ−およびストツパで二重に行うこと
ができ、たとえば車両が追突されてロツクレバ−
とストライカとの係合を残して背部が後方に撓ん
でも、ロツクレバ−の切欠部がストライカの突出
端部方向に横ずれを起こし、結局、この突出端部
がストツパに当接して背部の後倒移動が防止され
るとともにレバ−の変形破損も防止できて、安全
性の向上化を得るとともに保持−保持解除の操作
性が向上し、廉価な背部保持装置を提供できる。
